  1. What if it is not the Bills holding him back and it is him? He almost sat out because of Covid. He was slow to come back when he was injured and missed the Tennessee road game. That was the COVID Tuesday nonsense game. There was speculation he could have played but didn't want to because of the COVID issues the Titans were having. We are speculating it is the team that is bringing him back slowly. What if he is not really committed to coming back? He has got his second contract signing bonus and he gets paid whether he plays or not. The longer he goes without playing the weirder this situation gets.
  2. The only thing that can be evaluated is if Keenum is a competent backup QB. And even then Minn D is good. Josh could struggle against them too.
  3. If he can play he starts and plays all the plays. If he can't then he sits. Pretty simple. You don't bring your injured franchise QB off the bench to run a QB sneak or end around.
  4. I understand what the OP is trying to say. I would rethink it this way. Regardless of JA injury, the offense would be better and more sustainable if Dorsey found a way to get a complimentary rushing attack and involve Knox and the other receivers not named Diggs more. That can and should happen regardless if Josh can play or not.
  5. Might be a bit extreme but I agree with your premise in general
  6. Colts with Manning maybe a little especially at home. But I dont think anyone feared Dungy as an opposing coach the way they would Belichick. Packers were a good team but I don't think any team felt they were unbeatable. Especially since Favre turned the ball over so much. Do you think anyone fears being outcoached by McDermott and company? I think they fear Allen being unstoppable at times, but know the Bills from time to time play down to their opponent.
  7. I think you are misinterpreting the situation. I think the Patriots with Brady were the anomaly. They were feared by everyone. The Chiefs with Mahomes for a brief period probably got close to them and of course the 85 Bears for that season Otherwise I don't think any NFL team fears any other team. They all know that on any given Sunday they can all win or lose.
  8. Dam Brady is the GOAT as a girl too...that guy can do anything
  9. Wow this place looks good. Can't believe its been there for 30 years and I've never been. Will hexk this out next time.
  10. Buffalo Chophouse is my go to when I come back for a game Russell's Steaks is number 2
  11. Agree. It's a terrible strategy. That said I think Knox is the guy that should be getting more targets. Diggs us getting enough.
  12. Has anyone verified that this actually happens or is it just urban legend? Honestly what does a guy like this know that the opposing coaches don't already know from film study?
  13. Its more personnel groupings than it is him coming out. After the big catch on first play of game they went with a heavy formation next play. I'm not saying that is good. I personally don't think Kumerow should even be on the roster let alone on the field on offense. But that is what they are doing.
  14. You make good points. I think the counter argument is that Allen makes up for many of the deficiencies of the OL. Brown has been at best up and down. Bates seems ok but he is not great. I advocated for matching his offer from the Bears and I'm still fine with that decision. Morse is good enough. Also last year they had Sanders and Beasley. So the offense has seen a fair amount of turnover since last season. My biggest issue with the offense is that Knox should be getting 10 targets a game like Kelce. Davis should be the third option not the second.
  15. Dodson sucks too so they probably wanted to see what the rookie could do. Neither of them are good linebackers. They should have kept Klein and that is not revisionist history. I said it at the time he was not brought back. Instead they have useless Matakevich taking up a roster spot.
  16. 100% agree. I hated the Epenesa pick at the time. But people thought he was a low first round grade so some were excited he fell to second round. Basham pick made no sense too. He is fat and slow. Those two picks should have been OL. Backup DL are a dime a dozen.
  17. I was opposed to the Oliver pick during the draft. He will likely never live up to his draft status. He appeared to be slowly getting better each year. I 100% agree with picking up his option. You control him for another year and delays the decision to commit to him for another year. They can walk away after 2023 with no cap hit. Im not even sure he is above average. If he wants to sign an extension that pays him like a 20-25th starting DT in the league that would be fine. It would be relatively low risk overpay and at least you know what you are getting. Beane needs to draft offense round 1-3.
  18. I was there. Section 217. It must be demoralizing to a fan base to see half their stadium with the opponent's colors and logo. Even worse to hear the crowd chant MVP for the opposing QB.
  19. 1. Nate Hackett 2. Josh McDaniels 3. Matt LaFleur 4. Mike McCarthy 5. Kliff Kingsbury 6. Kevin Stefanski Honorable mentions of course : Reich and Rhule
  20. Lawson should start. He has experience. Epenesa is a lost cause at this point. Basham should be 3rd in the rotation and Epenesa last off the bench.
  21. That's like saying Bienemy is outstanding with KC. Nobody really knows. Doug Pederson was calling plays is my understanding
  22. Close your eyes and imagine Frank Reich was not some sort of bizzare Buffalo legend. If he was Tom Smith, you would not want any part of him near Allen or this franchise.
