They couldn't trade him now because his signing bonus would have eaten any remaining cap space. His dead cap hit was $11M. Even next year will be hard to move him as he will have a dead cap hit of over $8M. He's probably on the team through 2024. I wonder if they try to move him to nickel with a possibility he replaces Taron in 2025.

I had not heard anything about either. I would have thought if Milano had knee ligament damage we would have heard and it would be season ending. Now I'm thinking maybe this is "just" a bone break which gives him a good shot at making it back for the playoffs.

I would have preferred DL but adding another CB should help. Wonder if they think Milano and/or Jones have a chance to play in the playoffs???

That is a FG that,should be made 100% of the time. That puts you up 6 with less than a minute to play. Gain a yard and you take a knee and run out the clock. I understand the idea of going for it. But the much higher percentage play is to kick the FG and go up by 6. Remember that Jets D line is excellent and they would be selling out to stop the run. If they give up a yard or a TD it wouldn't matter, they lose either way. I didn't see how long of a yard it was but even a Allen/Hurts sneak there against that all out front would be difficult. Daboll made a good choice. His kicker failed him.

I'm a McD skeptic but that is a false narrative. Lots of players have contributed year 1. It's positional now largely based on how colleges develop guys. 1980's it took a few years for corners to play. Now they play day 1 because they see so many pass play snaps in college. Tight ends, DTs, and linebackers take time to develop. Their college game is so much different than the pro game.

No way. DTs take years to develop. They need to win now. Draft OT and WR that can play day 1. Get your DT in free agency or via trade.

The worst was letting Dorsey rub Murray out of shotgun on the 6 in line. That has to be under center with a fullback(preferably a DT) or Allen sneak.
