  1. He was on the sidelines last game for the first time. You don't wbat a guy fish off of surgery on the sidelines where he could get hit. And by all accounts he is still in the film room and game plan install sessions.
  2. Tre was mental and a knee. This is a neck. He may have been doing some cardio work. Not dismissing your point because it is valid. But if he can run and is cleared to play from a neck standpoint, then they can use him. Maybe just not every down of every series like before.
  3. Why not? Rookie WRs taken high in the draft produce early. Davis is not going anywhere. He is still under contract for next season.
  4. If people stop calling him a genius then we will stop talking about his misses. He's a solid GM but he has multiple failed high draft picks now. As you pointed out just like every other GM. I agree Beane is much better. Whaley as a ProPlayer evaluator is probably his sweet spot.
  5. Oliver is tied up already. Motor is gone. Saffold is gone. Sign Poyer for 3 year deal and tag Edmunds. Easy. Draft WR,S, and OL. Done.
  6. Draft a relatively cheaper WR. They can produce almost instantly. We need young speed. Hopkins is still great but way too expensive.
  7. Tag and let him walk after 2023. He will not sign a long term deal near what Milano was paid and Milano and Poyer are more important players. There was not much of a drop off with Klein last year. Bernard pick was just an absolute waste of a key player.
  8. It's been debated ad nauseum but Whaley never got to pick a GM or a QB. He made some fine trades and some nice other picks back in the day. Beane got the franchise QB with some very nice maneuvers and a bit of luck. The real hard work begins when he must choose which players to extend and which to let walk.
  9. I thought Josh bailed out of the pocket on one of the third downs a bit early. It was late in the game but I don't recall now which series. I think it ended up a sack or maybe he gained a yard or two, regardless they had to punt. Seemed like he bailed to his left when there was still a pocket to stand in.
  10. Tag Edmunds and let him walk after 2023. Can't afford this kind of money for a guy that can't even defend the run. I've been all over the map with Edmunds. He started the year really well but has regressed badly again. I keep him on the tag for one more year while they shore up the OL, WR, and S spots this off-season. If they can get Wagner on the cheap I'd be fine if Edmunds walked this offseason. But I would not let Edmunds walk only to have to use a first round pick in 2023 draft on a MLB.
  11. I know of no front office that impedes assistants getting promoted. Do you have any examples? Even Belichick doesn't block guys. Generally one would think it attracts more talent knowing that guys were able to progress in their career. If you know of any examples it would be interesting to read about. Regardless Beane couldn't stop them anyways except for a lateral move.
  12. We do runs slants. They are just called as RPOs. Diggs and Davis have caught them. What is missing is Beasley caught many of them in the past but they are not getting that production from the current group of slot WRs.
  13. Stat fits the narrative that Josh is trying to make plays downfield most of the time. Even if he needs to get 2 yards he may be trying to get more. Would I like to see him check it down a bit more often? Yes. Not every check down results in a first down but some do. Also any positive yards helps field position and if in FG range makes the kick a bit easier. Also it might set up the possibility of a short 4th down attempt. We all love Allen's ability to throw the intermediate length pass. I beleive Allen, Marino, and Rodgers are best in NFL history at the 10-25 yard pass. Its a function of his arm strength and willingness and ability to extend plays. But as we have all seen there are some occasions where a check down is the safer and better play.
  14. He said he has a "pretty good idea" how it will turn out. Then said coach speak about being prepared for whoever plays. Perhaps reading too much into it but it seemed an odd way to answer the question.
  15. McD press conference he hinted at he already knew what the QB situation was going to be. My guess is in the inner circles of the coaches they know Tua is done for the year.
  16. Another terrible championship game. They should move to the playoff next year or the committee should seriously vote who they think are they top 4 teams regardless of record. No way TCU was a Top 4 team. Alabama, LSU, and a host of other teams have more talent. TCU is a four or more loss team in the SEC. Ohio State probably a 2 or 3 loss team. This has become a joke.
  17. For those that remember, they did that with Kevin Everett. Brady then scored 150 points in the game.
  18. No football activity on a Monday this many days into the protocol means he is in rough shape. If he was going to play this weekend they would have put him in the non-contact jersey by now. It doesn't matter who they play at QB. Bills are going to destroy Miami. Go ahead and play him with a broken thumb. Then force two fumbles.
  19. Nope. Its all a matter of who is up next. Allen got paid slightly less than Mahomes because Mahomes had a ring already. Burrow has been to a SuperBowl. He will get a massive deal.
  20. Lol. You know even if the win the SuperBowl they will move on from players. Happens every year. 49ers moved on from Montana to Young. Bills will move on from Singletary to Cook. Most assuredly Bills will move on from Saffold. The big decision is Edmunds.
