If I was James Cook I'd be picking Shady's brain all week
Ethan in Cleveland replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall
If I was James Cook I'd sub out for Fournette. This game begs for the bigger back. Fournette can go over 100 this week. -
Has the team lost complete confidence in Bass???
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Billsfan1972's topic in The Stadium Wall
I highly doubt that. If he couldn't make a 46 yard FG they wpuld find someone else. His kickoffs are going through the endzone. His leg is fine. McD rightly trusts Allen more than Bass. We all should. Our only hope is riding #17. McD finally seems to be getting it. And he didn't miss two FGs in Philadelphia. One was blocked. -
Why do u say that? What was Bernard asked to do differently than Edmunds ? Or vice versa? They play the same position in the exact same defense. Both played deep coverage. Both blitzed. There is nothing that I saw all year to suggest Bernard was asked to do anything differently than Edmunds was the prior 5 years. Bernard is just a better player despite Edmunds being bigger, stronger, and faster.

Sam Martin named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agreed. I'm sure they will bring in some competition next year. They have a ton of draft picks so taking a flyer on best college punter would be wise. -
Sam Martin named AFC Special Teams Player of the Month

He was terrible at the beginning of the year. Even McD said it. But he had been better this last month. Good for him to play better and kudos to McD for sticking with him. -
Brandon Beane was right and we were wrong.
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Rigotz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane is good to very good. Just dont call him a genius as many do but the OP did not. Lots to agree with the OP. But... Ttmhe OP gives credit for not signing Edmunds to a long term deal but forgets it was Beane who gave up an extra second round pick to move up and draft him. Many of us wanted Allen. But we have no idea what Beane's board was. If the Jets or Browns take Allen it is more likely than not Beane would have been fired by now. My biggest miss was on Bernard. I really criticized Beane for the draft pick and not having a better option to replace Edmunds. Was wrong on that account so far. Bernard has instincts that Edmunds will never have. He is a playmaker. As for the OL, he has had more than his share of misses. He's overpaid for guys and had guys on second contracts really crap out. But his faith in Brown looks reasonably well deserved and the starting 5 and depth guys in 2023 are the best we have had since the SB years. WR is still very hit and miss. Obviously he hit it out of the park with the Diggs trade. Almost every other WR trade or draft pick is middling at best. TE. I am an unabashed Knox fan. Like the Kincaid draft pick too. Hopefully we find an OC that figures out how to use both. I'm not criticizing the Miller deal. I praised it at the time so I can't rip him now that he is injured and unproductive! My second biggest miss was Oliver. Didn't like the pick at the time and didn't like the second contract. I would have let him walk but he has been very good this year. He's still not a top 5 guy but he is also not being paid like a top 5 guy either. Currently ranked 12th in salary which feels just about rightm -
**Breaking News** Pete Carroll out in Seattle
Ethan in Cleveland replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall
He got fired. Not retiring -
This is a dumb rule. It should be the same enforcement as if the offense makes a penalty that stops a running clock. You either are forced to use a timeout or there is a 10 sec run off. If the defense has a TO they should be forced to use it or they take 10 sec off clock and start the clock on the snap. That would at least be consistent.

Sit Douglas and Rapp. If you can't beat Mason Rudolph with Benford, Elam, Johnson, Hyde, Poyer, and Jackson then you have bigger issues. -

Looks like Elam should dress for this game. If I'm McD I play more 4-3 this week. Spector looked good. Williams should not be a liability in coverage and should add some nice pop. Maybe even play Taron at safety if they want to go with a three safety package wit Rapp hurt. -
I have to wonder if there is always a hot route? I understand the concept but I wonder if every designed play has a hot route. Clearly on the sack Shakir could have read that blitz and did a quick in route for a first down. I think if you are leaving a back in to block and only sending 4 out in pass patterns Mayne the concept us to let the routes develop thinking you have an extra blocker. Regardless Warner is right. Josh had some misses in the first half.

Ouch! But your analogy is spot on. That drop in Miami was as bad as Harmon's in Cleveland. Both great passes from the QB. Both next passes ended up with bad outcomes. What is so frustrating is Both players were excellent pass catching RBs. -

I will take Allen's arm in the wind over popgun Rudolph's any day. I care more about freezing rain. Josh has his issues holding onto the ball. Rain is the greater equalizer. However it might be too cold for moisture to be an issue. -

The Browns would have struggled to 6 wins if Watson stayed healthy -
Complete guesses with nothing to back it up Brady is not good at his job Josh doesn't like to just plow ahead Josh only goes left They are setting up some type of trick play down the road? Morse is not nearly as good Kelce Hurts has stronger legs than Allen

Bills fan murdered after game
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Its Allen the hips's topic in The Stadium Wall
Wow. There were a ton of cops, two ambulances, and two fire trucks trying to get into a parking lot we walked past after the game. They couldn't move because the cars had nowhere to pull over. Wonder what the response time was. Tragic -
Dalton Kincaid stats this year

Pretty close. Just a little high on the TDs -
He doesn't look like a NFL QB at all. No way would I draft him

Terrible no call hold on that big pass to the TE. If you are going to call that non hold on UW can't let the UM RT have a full hand of jersey

Shame on us! The Traveling Bills Mafia.
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was an amazing experience! It started on Saturday seeing Bills jerseys all around town. The game was crazy. Credit to the Miami fans. They were far louder than I expected. You simply could not tell from the crowd noise which team had made a great play. The tell tale sign was watching our defenders pumping up the crowd while Miami was on offense. -
Gabe Davis PCL sprain, not considered major
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Was it really? They moved the ball between the 20's with ease with and without him. The long Shakir screen pass was all due to Davis blocking two guys. They scored 7 points with him in the game and 7 without him in the game. Not saying he is that critical to their success but he has made some very big plays for this team at times. most of this board (including myself for a brief moment) would have sat Knox. And yet look at him bending and twisting his way to a TD. They should not need Davis to beat Pittsburgh. It gives him 2 weeks to heal. Should be a good game to see what they can get out of Sherfield and Shakir. FYI Sherfield YPC 7.8 Davis YPC 16.6 Shakir YPC 15.7 -
So in fairness to Miller, did anyone on the DL make an impact last night? The top 6 tacklers were all back 7 guys Jones is the only DL with more than one tackle credit. Dodson got credit for a sack but I really don't recall it. I am not sure any DL even got close to Tua
