The only similarity to those Super Bowl teams and the current team, is the fact in both cases the bills have been outcoached. Levy was no match for Parcells, Belichick, Gibbs, and Johnson. Same story now. McDermott is outclassed by Reid and perhaps now by Taylor.

I think it is a great idea but I would modify it. Have a cap that is 52+1. You can designate any player as the +1 that is exempt from the salary cap calculation. You coudl even put a tax on that +1 if you wanted to and spread that money around the league. There should not be this degree of a penalty for drafting and developing a franchise QB.

Another example of why they just need to kill the ProBowl. Just let guys get voted in and end it.

Backup linebackers are street free agents. 3rd round picks need to play and become dependable starters. That pick should have been WR or OL.

I chose OL. I dont think McDermott is going anywhere and at this point I don't think he will change. Dorsey might get better. Having Allen on here is not unreasonable. Of course they aren't changing QB, but he can and does need to play better. He had some truly awful turnovers last year. He needs to clean that up. But for me they need to get better on the OL. If they can get a stud OT to play LG for one year it makes the whole OL better. Brown showed glimpses of being okay RT. He should get every opportunity to win the RT job again. I would also draft a C/G to develop. Hopefully Morse doesn't retire, but if he does I move Bates to center and replace him with a rookie. Ideally that happens in 2024 not 2023. I left off WR. I think they need to add at least one good WR Hopefully with some size. I'm higher on Davis than most. He is still cheap and productive. Let him play out his final year. I would not extend him but I'm not cutting or trading him either.

Fire the entire coaching staff. Keep Beane and let him choose a new staff and rebuild the roster. I don't think he is a genius but he deserves a chance to hire his own HC. We had four(Jones, Matakevich, Neal, and Kumerow) at the start of the season. Elam sat far too long. Terrible. Benford should have moved to safety the moment Hyde went down. They should have known from practice Johnson was awful. I'd hire Jim Harbaugh and let him bring toughness and accountability to this team. Last year I would have hired Lincoln Riley but I doubt he would leave USC now.

It is a very fair question to ask. I still say no. He is under contract. You do not have to commit long term. He is not going to hold out. When healthy he is a solid starter. Yes he is a bust compared to his draft spot but he is still a decent starter. If you trade him you immediately create another hole on the defense that would take valuable resources to fill that need to be used on offense. That's not what the Bills need this offseason.

Not using Elam as a day one starter was stupid. Drafting Bernard was borderline termination offense.

Many of us haven't trusted the defense for multiple years. Then we get told to look at their ranking and say we arent real fans. The defense has always been a fraud. We all see it. They feast on terrible QB play making the rankings look good. Then they suck when they play physical teams or teams with great QBs. Houston playoff game, Colts, 13 seconds, Miami 3rd string QB...

Why? They had the same cap issues last year and Beane said the same nonsense. Then he signed Miller, Saffold and a bunch of other guys. There is plenty of moves he can do to be active in FA.
