Lost to Dolphins in regular season and they were losing to a 3rd string QB and PS RB in the 3rd quarter of the playoff game. The gap between Bills and the rest of the AFC East is razor thin.

Edmunds played against KC and Cinci and it made no difference. He is worthless against the run and he is not as important against the pass as you think. I'm kind of tired of arguing about him. Hopefully he is gone in a week and we can all move on. Hope we sign Bobby Wagner.

Like Coach Beard says in Ted Lasso, these are professionals and wins and losses do matter and he wants to win. Nothing against McDermott as a person. He appears to be a fine communiticator and has shown that on multiple occasions. I just don't think he is good enough to win a SuperBowl.

Yes you get your pick of a weak class. How many QBs have been taken 1st overall that are no good. We got lucky Jets and Cleveland passed on Allen or we would have taken one of the busts. They could have stayed at 9 possibly gotten Levis. Worse case scenario they keep building their roster and sign another stop gap like Jimmy. That probably gets them in the playoffs in that weak division. Now they are a couple years away

I hated this pick from day one. Oliver is undersized and not quick enough to make a difference. Would love to trade him and move on. Hell as much as I rag on Edmunds I would take Edmunds on a long term deal over Oliver any day

Agree. For some reason Beane has addressed Oline with free agents. Morse, Williams, Spain, Q, Saffold, and later round projects(Ford being the notable exception). To be fair, though overpaying some of these guys have worked out ok. Perhaps he believes the oline play in college is so bad and it takes too much time to develop so he has gone the veteran route. That is not really a bad assumption. Hope he goes WR then oline 1 and 2 this year.

The best players leaving this year just happen to be free agents - Edmunds and Poyer so no salary cuts needed. Also they really don't have anyone to cut for salary savings except maybe Morse or Dawkins. And the OL is the worst unit on the team. So I see restructures and letting some expensive guys walk as the only way to get cap money to spend later.

This year will be no different except there are more holes to fill. He will draft OL or WR early after signing a veteran to play MLB and moving Benfird to safety

Sorry but you are just wrong. This defense has had the luxury of playing some of the worst QBs in the league for several years and padding their stats against them. Edmunds and the entire defense has been dominated or choked in multiple games against elite QBs. The anomaly games are the KC regular season games when the D has played well. That said most defenses get torched by elite QBs. Build around Allen and give McDermott one more year to prove he can make a SuperBowl. If not he has to go and give Allen a great offensive minded HC.

I dont think Edmunds is best at his position. I've been a huge critic of his. But half this board thinks he is. And he will sign with someone for no less than top 3 MLB money. So yes some GM will believe he is one of the best at his position or maybe better said has the potential to be. Maybe Beane and McD still think that too. I hope not. I think he's a fraud. Moot point now. Just hope someone pays him top dollar and Beane doesn't screw up the comp pick.

Go all in. Sign Orlando Brown and move Dawkins to LG. Massive upgrade to the OL that fixes two positions with one signing.

They have a 4th place schedule in 2023 and a 4 game improvement gets them 11 wins. That would have been the top WC seed last year. 5 game improvement and that puts them in the division title race right up until the very end. Lots of teams improve 4 or 5 games in a year. Bengals went from last to first two years ago. Detroit this past season went from 3 wins to 9 wins. And lots of teams suck for long periods of time like the Falcons, Browns, and Commanders of late. Is Rodgers in his prime? No. Is he massively better than White and Wilson? Yes. Is Jets roster better than the Packers? Yes. Bills with Allen in his prime would still be the favorite to win the division. Just as KC was thought to be challenged by Denver with the addition of Wilson, maybe the Jets fall apart too. Ugh can't wait for free agency to start LOL. If God hates the Jets, what does he/she think about the Bills? Jets have a Championship Trophy (it wasn't called the Lombardi Trophy until SuperBowl V). We have Wide Right.

Exactly and it only takes one team to set the market. Nobody thought Jamal Adams was worth two first round picks until Seattle traded for him. Edmunds is not worth the money on this team because the Bills now have so much money tied up elsewhere. For another team that may not be the case. At best we are now looking at a 2024 3rd round pick somewhere around pick 100 if Beane does not screw up the compensation pick. That is absolutely awful return for Edmunds skill level. If done correctly Beane could have easily netted a 2nd round pick or maybe even a low first rounder. This was mistake one. Hopefully he doesn't make it worse by signing him to a long term deal.
