  1. He's not going to play TE. He is going to be a standup WR in the slot that will tower over every nickel CB, S and LB he faces.
  2. Where did you read that? Everything I read is that he drops a lot of balls and makes body catches. In fact if you look at those highlights earlier in the thread he never highpoints the ball. He lets it come into his body. Can't teach size though But hopefully you can teach him how to catch.
  3. Bills trying to set the record for dropped balls in a season. Holy hell this guy is big but supposedly can't catch.
  4. Don't think Mike had Josh Allen for a QB and Diggs as a WR
  5. Take the best DT on the board. The IR him in training camp so he doesn't get poached from the PS At first I was going to crap on this but dam Beane has been good in the 6th round. Just load up on DL the rest of the draft and hope one of them sticks
  6. If this was the only trade down opportunity then I agree with what Beane did. Dropping 14 spots was too far to only pick up a third. If the team had fewer holes, you can do that and get a 2nd in 2024. Only trade back that would have made sense was in the top 5 of the second round that would have also given you a top 5 in the 3rd round. Then the Bills would have had 4 picks from say somewhere between 34 to 91. That nets you one more top player and probably still gets you a WR, an OG, a better ILB prospect, and an OT or an edge.
  7. Epenesa and Basham must be the happiest guys on the roster. Neither are worthy of a roster spot yet the Bills have done nothing to address the edge situation. Hopefully they can add a veteran post June 1 on a 1 year deal and move on from these two busts. Still hate the fact we have a FB on the roster. Wasted roster and cap space in my mind. But I can't see that changing this year. With Kincaid being added I would get rid of Morris and go with just two TEs again. I'd rather use the extra roster spot to let one of these small LBs play STs, occasional 4-3 sets, or play some big-nickel. I think the final roster decisions will come down to how many safeties they want to keep on the roster. I had Benson moving to S this year but it doesn't look like that will happen. Now we have a bit of a glut at CB. If White doesn't rebound fully he may be a cap casualty for 2024. Probably too soon to think about it, but maybe Dane Jackson is a trade possibility?
  8. If what you are saying is true about a trade back then I think Beane should have done that. By not moving back it forced another reach on a small ILB in the third round. Assuming they trade back into the top of the second round and picked up a 3rd it would have been worth it. In that scenario they still get a TE, they probably get an OT instead of an OG, and they add an edge or DT in the first 100 picks. All that said, Kincaid if used properly should help right away and a fourth round talent might not even make the roster at this point unless you part ways with Basham or Epenesa.
  9. 13 seconds was McDermott not Frazier and we all know it. Don't want to argue it anymore but the D has collapsed in every playoff loss going back to the Texans. McD can't hide from it any longer. It is his defense entirely now.
  10. Let the smurfs play the passing down and distance situations and let Klein play the run downs. Maybe even mix some 4-3 looks and blitz these guys more.
  11. Fair points. I'm a cardiologist not a sports med or orthopedic guy so I can't really refute this idea that the short to intermediate throws were somehow harder. Yet I can't think of any reason why they would be. Regardless it's on to next season and hopefully Josh is just a bit cleaner with the ball.
  12. Very happy with this pick. If he starts I think Bates is your swing OT in 2023 and possibly the starting C in 2024.
  13. Well hell Giants just took C I was curious about
  14. Anyone know anything about Schmitz the C from Minn? He is 5rh on best available on ESPN list right now.
  15. Would have liked March Hope Torrence falls to us It's not all on Dorsey. We all saw guys open underneath and Allen passed up the easy completion for the hero play too often. Too many picks. But bad Oline play almost all year and the elbow injury took its toll on Josh. Not that he needs to rebound because he was still incredible, bit I hope Josh is a little less error prone and a little more conservative this year with more weapons.
  16. That's a very fair taken something that will need to be watched closely. The OJ Howard signing last year seemed to indicate a willingness to move in that direction but it didn't work out. One would think facing Kelce and Gronk and seeing Greg Olsen up close that McDermott would have figured it out by now. But as you probably know I'm a McDermott skeptic. At the end of the day it is another weapon on offense which is what most on the board wanted. Should allow them to be fairly diverse in scheme, personnel, and formation. Now its up to Allen and Dorsey to figure it out. Give me an OT in round 2 and I'm happy
  17. Its a weak in the moment take. Yes they didn't add a WR which was his main point or address the OL. But it is only one round. And Kincaid is a weapon on offense. Also let's not forget Bills added two WR, a LG, have Shakir developing, and have Hines for the full year. Should we address OT? Yes. Hope they do. As for weapons, I'm fine with what they have. I'd add an OT or even a C/G in the next round. Then go get a couple front 7 defenders with the rest of the picks.
  18. Davis is a legit WR#2. Can he play better? Yes. Would Hopkins be an upgrade? Yes. Should Bills still add another WR to push him and/or plan for 2024? Perhaps. Is Davis good enough for 2023? I think so. I would be fine drafting a WR but I see competition at RT and long term planning for C and LT as a bigger need in the next two rounds. And that doesn't even address MLB, DT, and edge.
  19. I hear a lot about drafting BPA. We debate endlessly on this board about BPA, BPA at a position of need, straight need, and so forth. Some have said Beane took the BPA in Kincaid. In my mind, taking BPA means you sit and wait for your turn in the draft and take your highest rated player. I really don't think you can call a pick that you trade up for a BPA pick. I'm curious what others think. Partially because I'm a bit of a narcissist and want to keep proving my point that Beane almost always drafts for need. And moving up in the draft to select a pass catcher again is a need pick and not a BPA pick.
  20. There were guys open underneath all year and Josh refused to throw it to them. He has to get better at taking the short stuff. Hopefully having another big target underneath will help Josh.
  21. And why would you believe him? What are u talking about? Beane lies all the time. Says they won't be a player in free agency and then signs Miller. Same thing with Milano and Williams in the past. He just said in his PC he wasn't going to look to extend and guys until training camp and the next day he signed Bass to an extension. He lies all the time and you guys hang on his every word.
  22. After the run on WR's I would have stayed put. Smith or one of the top two TEs would have been there are 27. Even Harrison would have been ok at 27. I don't hate the pick as some do. I like the two TE set. I think it can be devastating and give Josh some easy completions if he is willing to take them. Don't love giving up a 4th. Smith would have filled an immediate need at edge, but in the end getting more options for the offense is paramount. Hopefully OT in round 2.
  23. Bills have drafted four TE's in the last 15 years. Knox was the highest in the third round. Hardly an over investment in TEs. Now RB's you get no argument from me there.
