  1. I think the league is moving to bigger DBs not smaller ones. Sauce is 6'3". Elam and Benford are both 6'1". All 3 CB taken in first round were 6 ft or taller.
  2. Agree. My guess is whoever is better at special teams - Hollins vs Shorter will make it. Agree with the other 5. Doubt they keep 7 WR especially if the CB they drafted late is the primary return guy. I don't think this group is great but when you add the group of TEs and RBs they have, they can have a very balanced offense and create mismatches all over the field. I think the only downside is they may not have enough WR talent to win the few shootout games they get into every year.
  3. Your grandfather didn't watch sports. He listened to baseball on the radio after fighting in WWII. The world moves one. People that think the hits in that video clip are to be glorified really are disturbing to me. I know some that harken back for the old days aren't glorifying violence. I understand some are just frustrated as we all are at times with the ticky tack perosnal foul calls. But some on here really are glorifying these type of hits and it's a bit sickening. Saying Brady wouldn't have "survived". What does that even mean? The star players we all want to watch can now play for years longer because they can stay healthy. The reason the NFL is the king of all sports is because they eliminated almost all of that.
  4. He's obviously a HOF talent but he wasn't when he was with the Bills. I guess I took the question as who from those teams would you want now. Well I would not want the Bills' version of TO over a guy like Evans or even Johnson. I would still want the heart and soul that was Fred Jackson. He would be lethal paired with Cook. I understand Kyle but we already have a good DT. We need an edge rusher. I chose Schobel as he is my number 1 underrated Bill of all time. That said peak Mario Williams was better than Schobel ever was. I'd be happy with either playing edge for us now.
  5. They did but it's not the generally accepted idea of who was a drought player. I think most people think it is a Bills player that never played a playoff game for the Bills.
  6. Isn't he going to be number zero? Seems cruel to donate $0
  7. Neither of those are drought era players. Both played in the playoffs. And it's drought not draught.
  8. It is just a roster filling move. Nothing more. They needed cheap camp bodies and he is still young. Almost no downside. And I could care less about the locker room stuff. All I care about is if they can play. Solid post draft signing.
  9. They have a good stable of running backs but their OL can't stay healthy.
  10. Agreed. Jets are the real competition for the AFC East
  11. You forgot and who are worthy!
  12. Hmmm...I don't get that perception reading this thread
  13. Jones at one point was far better than Spector ever will be. That may not be the case now but I don't see how Spector is a lock for the 53. I doubt Smoot makes the 53. Camp body so Miller can rest.
  14. I like it! Low risk. Has more talent than most of the WRs on the team now. Maybe McD's process and team culture here will work.
  15. Wish him nothing but the worst. Amazing that a guy who cheated on his sport is now caught cheating in life. Shocking! Fyi...as he is not a Bills, this does not count as a negative post in my new found era of Bills positivity...
  16. They will be able to afford it. Torrence will still be on his rookie deal. If the Georgia kid is playing center he will be cheap. And Dawkins replacement will probably be on a rookie deal for several years. Then you pay Brown for a few years then as Torrence and the new LT need to get paid you move on from Brown. Easier said than done but they can pay Brown if he earns an extension.
  17. Unless Rousseau puts up double digit sacks I let him go. He has not been a difference maker at all. He's better than Epenesa but that's a low bar. If Brown has another good year I pay him. It took several years and several tries to find a competent RT to protect Allen. It is antiquated thinking that RT is less important than LT. They will need to move on from Dawkins in a year or two and that will require a high draft pick to replace. They can't afford to use two high draft picks on OT in the next few years.
  18. If by a couple years you mean 2026 LT - TBD - it will be a second year player drafted in first or second round of 2025 LG - McGovern or TBD C - kid from Georgia. I will learn his name when he makes the 53 RG - two time ProBowl Torrence RT - Brown If Brown stays healthy, Bills will have top 3 RG/RT combo in the league
  19. That is called recency bias
  20. I put the over/under at 50 for the number of times during the season we hear McDermott say we have a young team while playing week 17 in the hope they make the WC. If Rodgers stays healthy the Jets are winning the division. They will have a favorable schedule and added OL pieces to help protect Rodgers. Their defense is formidable. Patriots suck and Dolphins will unravel this year.
  21. Bad players get traded all the time Beane traded for Benjamin Kelvin Sheppard was traded for Hughes
  22. He was taken at 23. Jumping six spots would not have been insurmountable. Time to move on but BTJ, Worthy, and Coleman are all linked now as they were all in play for Beane. I would not have taken Worthy, but many on here wanted a trade up for BTJ. Hope Coleman is a solid WR. Allen if he truly is a HOF QB should be able to produce with this group.
  23. I warn you not to watch the video on ESPN. It's a highlight reel of Brian Thomas Jr doing amazing things
