He's obviously a HOF talent but he wasn't when he was with the Bills. I guess I took the question as who from those teams would you want now. Well I would not want the Bills' version of TO over a guy like Evans or even Johnson. I would still want the heart and soul that was Fred Jackson. He would be lethal paired with Cook. I understand Kyle but we already have a good DT. We need an edge rusher. I chose Schobel as he is my number 1 underrated Bill of all time. That said peak Mario Williams was better than Schobel ever was. I'd be happy with either playing edge for us now.

Hope for Opelousas and Bills Mafia

Isn't he going to be number zero? Seems cruel to donate $0 -
Neither of those are drought era players. Both played in the playoffs. And it's drought not draught.

They have a good stable of running backs but their OL can't stay healthy.

Agreed. Jets are the real competition for the AFC East

Hmmm...I don't get that perception reading this thread -

Jones at one point was far better than Spector ever will be. That may not be the case now but I don't see how Spector is a lock for the 53. I doubt Smoot makes the 53. Camp body so Miller can rest. -

I like it! Low risk. Has more talent than most of the WRs on the team now. Maybe McD's process and team culture here will work. -
Wish him nothing but the worst. Amazing that a guy who cheated on his sport is now caught cheating in life. Shocking! Fyi...as he is not a Bills, this does not count as a negative post in my new found era of Bills positivity...

Where do you see this OL in a couple years?
Ethan in Cleveland replied to GreggTX's topic in The Stadium Wall
They will be able to afford it. Torrence will still be on his rookie deal. If the Georgia kid is playing center he will be cheap. And Dawkins replacement will probably be on a rookie deal for several years. Then you pay Brown for a few years then as Torrence and the new LT need to get paid you move on from Brown. Easier said than done but they can pay Brown if he earns an extension. -

Unless Rousseau puts up double digit sacks I let him go. He has not been a difference maker at all. He's better than Epenesa but that's a low bar. If Brown has another good year I pay him. It took several years and several tries to find a competent RT to protect Allen. It is antiquated thinking that RT is less important than LT. They will need to move on from Dawkins in a year or two and that will require a high draft pick to replace. They can't afford to use two high draft picks on OT in the next few years. -

If by a couple years you mean 2026 LT - TBD - it will be a second year player drafted in first or second round of 2025 LG - McGovern or TBD C - kid from Georgia. I will learn his name when he makes the 53 RG - two time ProBowl Torrence RT - Brown If Brown stays healthy, Bills will have top 3 RG/RT combo in the league -

Realistic "Transition Year" Expectations
Ethan in Cleveland replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall
I put the over/under at 50 for the number of times during the season we hear McDermott say we have a young team while playing week 17 in the hope they make the WC. If Rodgers stays healthy the Jets are winning the division. They will have a favorable schedule and added OL pieces to help protect Rodgers. Their defense is formidable. Patriots suck and Dolphins will unravel this year. -
Jacksonville releases Zay Jones. Homecoming?

Bad players get traded all the time Beane traded for Benjamin Kelvin Sheppard was traded for Hughes -
Rd 2, Pick 33: WR Keon Coleman, Florida State
Ethan in Cleveland replied to SDS's topic in The Stadium Wall
He was taken at 23. Jumping six spots would not have been insurmountable. Time to move on but BTJ, Worthy, and Coleman are all linked now as they were all in play for Beane. I would not have taken Worthy, but many on here wanted a trade up for BTJ. Hope Coleman is a solid WR. Allen if he truly is a HOF QB should be able to produce with this group. -

I warn you not to watch the video on ESPN. It's a highlight reel of Brian Thomas Jr doing amazing things -

Oh God, watching the Zay Jones release article on ESPN makes me sick to my stomach. It's just one long highlight reel for Brian Thomas Jr doing things I never saw once in all the Coleman highlights. -

I'd trust Bills fans over Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson. Also when have you ever heard former players say rookies aren't going to do well. They almost all say they will do well, but yet we know the bust rate is far greater than the success rate. So no I don't really care what these guys say. We will judge with our own eyes and see how he plays. Right now the general consensus on this board is he a more consistent version of Gabe Davis. If that is true then for a second round pick I can live with that. That means he is somewhere around 40-50 catches, 600-800 yards, and 4-8 TDs. Gabe's rookie year he had 35 catches, 7 TD and 599 yards. -
I keep reading on here that Allen has not restrucuted but there are multiple reports he restructured his contract back in March opening up $16.7M in cap. For those that follow cap numbers closely, has his restructure already been done and applied to the cap? I know White's saving will be coming in a few weeks.
