  1. Rice is the best ever. Lawrence Taylor is the best defender of all time Bruce is in my top 5 defenders of all time ... Taylor, White, Sanders, Bruce, and Lott. That's becuase they drafted Perry Tuttle in first round of 1982. One of the biggest Bills draft busts of all time. He lasted only two seasons. He makes Gabe Davis look like Steve Largent when it comes to catching the ball. Tuttle was the absolute worst.
  2. Our and my point is we are not elite at OT, DT, and DE. With limited resources as you said you can't waste 3rd round picks on project players at positions that are not of need. They play 2 LBs the vast majority of the time. Whoever is not the starting MLB has traditionally been the backup for both LB spots. Best case scenario, Milano stays healthy all year and the kid sits all year.
  3. Yes just take one for the sake of taking one. Take the best guy on the board for a position of need. A backup WLB is not a need for a team in a championship window. The need was OT and DL. Beane did a nice job post draft addressing the DL at both DT and Edge so kudos there. But drafting a guy who had no hope of competeting for the open MLB spot and to backup a guy that never leaves the field makes no sense. Despite all the talk of draft grades these GMs are no better at predicting a 2nd round pick vs a 5th round pick who will be a star. Milano is case in point. So take a guy at a position of need and hope it works out. Wouldn't everyone feel better if we had another young OT prospect or DE to compete as opposed to a WLB? If it was 2002 and they actually played a 4-3 defense it would be different. They play 2 LBs almost exclusively. No need for a backup for Milano with the other linebackers on the roster.
  4. You are correct. Don't understand this coaching staff. Elam was the best defender on the field in the playoffs. Was far better than White. Let the kid play.
  5. Awesome 3rd round pick on a guy that will probably be a healthy scratch the entire year. What a waste. Should have been a DE, DT, or OT.
  6. Safety may be worse in that both starters are old and coming off significant injuries. DE is worse than the start of last year as Miller is still unable to play. Overall when he comes back the DL should be better than last year. RB on paper should be better. Singletary wasn’t great but he wasn’t bad either. Stayed healthy. Decent receiving threat.
  7. Nothing would happen. He's a career backup safety. At its' core, he got injured just like thousands of other players that get hurt and can't play at the NFL level again. He was not playing at a very high level before he got hurt. He was vastly better than Johnson for sure. He goes on with life hopefully with some money saved and a healthy mind and body. All that said he still seems like the 4th best safety on the team. What might get him cut is if they keep an extra smurf linebacker and use him as a big nickel instead of a fourth safety.
  8. Yup. That's why he has not been restructured. If he doesn't rebound he will be a salary cap cut next offseason
  9. I agree. Just wishful thinking on my part to get Wagner. Their RBs are injured again and we probably have one too many for the roster.
  10. I'm a McD critic, but his defense played well in the 2015 playoffs. Beat Russell Wilson and Carson Palmer and then completely shut down the Broncos and the broken down Manning in the SuperBowl.
  11. Just to be clear he said he was alright after the Jets wrecked his elbow. He is not going to admit anything. I'm not saying he actually was hurt. I'm just saying Josh would never admit it if he was.
  12. Actually it is his size. He's too small to play MLB. He's 14 pounds below your average weight you calculated. I completely agreed with letting Edmunds walk. He was a fraud. Just don't understand Beane's thinking with Bernard and Dorian Williams. Would love to trade one of our running backs to Seattle for Wagner.
  13. Still makes me sick that two years in a row Beane has drafted a small LB in the third round. There was no need for a backup to Milano. Whoever isn’t the starting MLB will be the backup for both spots. Could have added an OT or WR with one of those picks.
  14. To be fair to BB, Saffold started out quite good by most evaluations last year. Then by about week 6 he was getting worse each week.
  15. He wasn't #2 when Beasley was playing slot. He got more chances last year becuase the slot WR situation was a disaster In this offense the slot WR should be getting more targets. And as you see on other teams, the TE has to be a bigger part of this offense. This year Davis targets will go down but his YPC and TDs will be the same.
  16. Get no argument from me on that one. And it makes no sense because he has made some really difficult catches in his first three years.
  17. Half of the players you listed are not outside WRs or even WRs at all. You don't even understand what Davis' role on the team is. Correct he is not Hill or Gronk or Kelce or Kittle. He is an outside WR. He is not the second option and he never will be. This offense you want him to be your 4th option after Diggs, slot, and Knox. Davis is your chunk yardage guy not your high volume reception guy.
  18. Agree. Bates is perfect backup. If like to see Snell get a few reps with the 1s. Hope Elam gets his chance too. He is the best CB#2 on the team. Agree. If they hadn't drafted him he wouldn't even be on the roster right now. Low talent coming off injury. Bates has played the 6th OL before if they want to go with a heavy formation.
  19. Um no The Bills have no one on the roster that can do what Davis does. He's the only legit outside deep threat on the team opposite Diggs. He is a willing blocker and biggest body at WR. Yes the drops need to get better. Other than that he is a great WR#2! Now signing him long term is a different story. He is going to want #1 money and they just can't afford that. So just like Edmunds you let him walk and get a comp pick.
  20. Why would that matter? A 1 point or 28 point margin is still only one win. Regardless you are wrong about that too. Miami 2536 Buffalo 2486
  21. Bills better team. Dolphins better coach. Allen as is in most cases is the difference. He almost willed a win in Miami and almost gifted them a wildcard win in Buffalo.
  22. Nope. Dolphins lead series with a record of 62-56-1. Bills have won four of five playoff meetings though.
  23. Most of us do They don't have pads on. I wouldn't read anything into oline or dline play.
  24. Love the Kincaid pick but so wanted Smith-Njigba to keep falling.
