He looked good but so did everyone else pass rushing against that line
I've never rushed a passer but it seems like this is one of those innate skills that is hard to teach. He seems to have it already based on his college resume.
At his height not sure he will ever be an every down 4-3 DE. Should be a solid rotation guy and pas rush specialist.
I wonder if they can drop him down to DT next to Oliver on some long 3rd downs. He'd be good stunting out of the DT position.
Stop Henry
McD defense is still soft up the middle. Always has been. Play 8 in the box and trust our corners to cover. I'd like to see Bishop get a few series in place of Hamlin for some added size at the S spot. That way you can disguise if it will be Rapp or Bishop at the LOS. We don't have the LBs to play 4-3 but maybe some crazy 5-2 looks with Williams spying Jackson in the more obvious rush down/distances.
Very few bad plays but far more than just 3
1. Allen fumble
2. Torrence face mask taking away a TD run
3. Two overthrown passes to wide open MVS
4. Cook drop
5. Douglas getting lost in coverage and giving up TD pass against Jags
6. Coleman showing up late and getting benched
Williams is starting to play better. Milano will have not played football in 14-15 months when he may return. He was amazing before the injuries. It's still not certain he had fully recovered from leg injury. Reports on camp he was slow in coverage.
Long time until then, but Milano may not be the starter when he returns. He will be 30 next year with a salary of over $9M.
11. Williams with very good pass coverage
12. Very few if any missed tackles
13. AJE dipping his shoulder instead of rushing around the OT and getting a sack
14. Josh sliding
15. No INTs
16. No injuries!
Jags are winless, Miami's only win is against the Hapless Jags, and Baltimore went toe to toe (see what I did there) with KC in KC.
Still seems like they should be no less than even.
Vegas begging us to pick the Bills and the points.
Lol...apparently Beane didn't either. No first round OL and just two second round picks in 6 drafts. 90% of this board wanted Creed Humphrey when he had the chance to draft him.
He inherited Dawkins. He was right about Brown. So far Torrence looks good. A couple developmental guys provide excellent depth as well.
Led the league in rushing 3 years in a row... Rex and his brother destroyed a top 3 defense though
After a rough first game, I think Torrence has bounced back too. He looked solid last night. I don't remember him giving up any pressures but I wasn't too focused on him either.
Yeah people think there was no defense played in that game but each defense made stops. Just not punts.
Also Bills got a lucky defensive holding call that was questionable on 3rd down to keep a drive going.
