  1. As for comparisons of old rosters TE, LB(remember I never thought Edmunds was very good and LB depth is best it has ever been), IOL, and RB are much better CB is maybe a bit better - Douglas is a notch below White at his best but is a #1 CB and Benford/Elam are better than Wallce/Jackson DT, QB, and OT are about the same DE, Safety, and WR downgrades Despite all the emphasis on STs they have yet to find a decent punter. PK is a wash.
  2. Bishop has a better chance of being on PUP to start the year than being on the active 53 roster
  3. Actually you can worry about injury and you can protect your star players from taking unnecessary risk. It's not a risk if you don't play them. As I've said before COVID proved no preseason is needed.
  4. Trying not to be negative. Let's just say I disagree with McDermott's decision.
  5. Fair enough...you know me I blame it all on McDermott anyways Ideally Brady schemes up a few more easy throws and finds a nice run pass balance. What I would really like to see is our NFL franchise effectively run a basic screen play. Not sure why they have struggled with this but it sure wpuld be a nice play to see. Allen needs to do his part. 4 less INTs and he needs to be more accurate on his deep ball.
  6. Not sure anyone passionately defends Dorsey. But the stats say the offense was better with Dorsey than with Brady. It looked more balanced with Brady and the play calling bears that out, but the offense struggled at times with Brady too. I think with Diggs and Davis gone it's fair to worry about the offense.
  7. Excellent points From what I have heard he is supposed to be helping install some of the RPO concepts that Stefanski doesn't usually use but obviously Josh and Dorsey used quite a bit
  8. Stefanski is still calling the plays this year Dorsey will just help install the weekly gameplan
  9. He does this every year deferring to the veterans on the team. Doesn't mean much right now.
  10. Cook had 6 drops last year. He only had 3 the prior year on fewer touches. Christian McCaffrey had 6 drops in 2022. He had 7 drops in 2019. He had zero in 2023. So I'd say he if McCaffrey is the current gold standard for elite dual threat RB he is not that far removed from the very best. Does Cook need to get better. Yes. But even the very very best drop some from time to time
  11. Wins one SuperBowl and he will surpass even Bruce Smith as best Bill of all time!!! Now just cut those turnovers down 20% this year....
  12. Bass yes Cook no Cook has two years left on his rookie deal. He isn't going anywhere. He's an elite RB. Best the Bills have had since Shady.
  13. Agree with everything you said. If Cleveland has a slim chance at best then Buffalo would have zero chance
  14. Agree 100%. This is worse than than the Herschel Walker trade and the contract is as bad as any ever given out. He was awful when healthy last year. Winston will be starting by week 8 or 9.
  15. Exactly when going to London this year they asked me my purpose using my name before I handed them anything. Which begs the question why can they do that at all the airports and get rid of the security lines or at least speed them up!! Passport control is at least twice as fast as airport security.
  16. Me too but he is still unknown
  17. Indianapolis, Minnesota, and New Jersey have all hosted in the last 25 years as well. So that is one cold weather site every six years or so which feels about right. I highly doubt Buffalo with a dome would get a SuperBowl. But Cleveland would have a shot. Hotel situation is fairly bleak downtown though. No idea how the hotels compare to Detroit, Indy, and Minnesota.
  18. They just traded for Jeudy and gave him ridiculous contract a year after doing the same for Elijah Moore. None of it matters as Watson is horrible. He is at best the 11th QB in the AFC and the worst QB in the division now that Steelers have Wilson. Only the Colts, Raiders, Denver, Titans, and Pats have worse situations. Best move they made all off season was signing Jameis Winston. He will probably be starting by week 8. No QB and unproven coach
  19. To my knowledge no decision has been made yet. Local officials have been working with the Browns for a couple years now on a decision. The current stadium is garbage and needs millions in repairs. Its location is awful with no good parking options. One of the biggest issues with the proposed dome location is the proximity to the airport. Buffalo's decision to not build a dome is one of the worst wastes of taxpayers money in municipal history.
  20. That's fair. I think the Jets are in his head. He played just as poorly against the Bronocs in the middle of the season. He's human just like they all are. We all know he goes sugar rush Josh at times. A few times a year it lasts all game. That said he walked off the field with the lead or tied in those games.
  21. Rumor on Cleveland radio now is Aiyuk for Cooper and a #2 draft pick
  22. Ancient thinking Covid year proved you don't need preseason Major college football plays with no preseason. Yes many of the games are against powder puffs but there will be many top 25 teams playing each other week 1.
  23. Injury risk and there is no need to work at preseason speed and with preseason play calls. Zero upside and what happens if some guy rolls up on Allen's ankle even while just handing the ball off. Hell if I'm Allen I would refuse to play in the preseason. Why take the risk when he sees the dollars others QBs are getting and he is looking at a pay raise. If you can't beat the Cardinals at home even with no preseason action forcthexstarters the season is doomed anyways. They have the perfect first regular season game to work out any kinks with timing.
  24. No - no starters at all in game 1. Allen Cook and the entire starting defense should not play a single snap of preseason football. Give the starting o-line one half in game two with Trubisky then shut them all down.
  25. TE is an interesting camp story. Also have to remember Kincaid is a hybrid WR/TE. Davidson is getting some nice buzz. Maybe this is the year you get rid of Gilliam and keep 4 TE. Bills like to run out of heavy sets a lot. Or at least they did with an extra OT lined up as TE. Will have to see what Brady likes. Someone probably knows, but I wonder if Gilliam snaps went up or down when Brady took over. All of these TEs can line up as a FB in a pinch. Honestly at the goal line they would be fine lining up a back up guard or Oliver at FB. My guess is McD sticks with what he knows and keeps Gilliam and Morris while Davidson is cut.
