  1. Wtf. How do you not give Harris the ball on 3rd and 1 with game on the line????? These coaches are so stupid.
  2. Wow I'm not sure how you came away from yesterday still thinking the offense was disjointed. Perhaps it was all the success they had running the ball which sometimes just means a 3 yard gain. It's still early and they will face better defenses but long sustained drives using multiple receivers and 3 backs is a recipe for success. Add the fact all this running and dink and dunk goes on tape. Sooner or later the big play opportunity will come back as defenses try to commit to stopping the short stuff. What they put on take yesterday will pay dividends in weeks to come.
  3. Pretty sure I defended Dorsey and laid all the balme on Josh after week 1. I'm pretty sure over the offseason I was unsure how Dorsey would incorporate Kincaid but was open to see how it turned out. As for McD I've been a perennial skeptic for years and only an AFC Championship will change my mind. Nothing against the human being. He seems like a fine person. Just still don't trust him when it really matters. To his credit he has found the right balance of being aggressive on offense. His time management is reasonable. Just worried he will choke away victory again. So to answer the OP, nothing has changed for me.
  4. Good to go usually means IR with this regime...lol Dam that is bad if his Achilles tendon is in his knee...
  5. Ah. Makes sense I dont want unnecessary hits to the head. The Logan Thomas hit was awful. The DB launched upwards at his head when he could have just hit him in the chest. What did you think of the shot Allen took to the head when he was already down?
  6. Agree. He was clearly a defenseless receiver and they didn't call it. Oh maybe that was it. Though was the game stopped for potential injury or was it for the penalty being announced? I also thought the refs can pull guys for concussion symptoms too, and the independent neuro guy was in addition to the refs.
  7. Except he used his final timeout so he couldn't use a challenge in the future.
  8. In the stadium it looked like the coaching staff was pointing him out to officials and then Adams gestured angrily to the Bills sideline. He threw his helmet before going into the tent. They never showed the hit on the stadium replay.
  9. In the stadium it looked like Harris never touched the ground on his run to the goal line. Looked like the ball should have been spotted inside the 1. However they spotted it almost a yard back. I know in the whole scheme of things it doesn't matter much, but I thought McDermott should have challenged that instead of using last time out. The spot effectively took out a QB sneak as an option. What did they say or see on TV?
  10. Need a bigger sample size but he played well yesterday. He had a couple run stuffs that were excellent. I'm still worried about his size. Maybe this is just the future of MLB.
  11. Pretty sure they did some of that last year. Ilike the idea. Pretty soon he just needs to win more 1:1 battles
  12. Allen was a surgical assassin today. By all accounts those same underneath throws were there last week. This was Allen playing better and Dorsey calling more run plays. Love it! When Allen still needed to be a superstar he made those plays as well. On to Washington!
  13. Great day for the TBD whipping boys. Bernard looked like a NFL player. Showed some nice instincts against the run. Dare I say better than any Edmunds game vs the run. Then there is Davis. He was great today. He made two amazing catches up and away from his body. Made the easier ones too. He might not be 100% on targets but the ball Allen threw back across the field had chance to be caught. Cook went over 100 and poundedthe rock while showing elite speedtpthe corner. Dorsey designed a great game plan to attack Vegas who played 2 deep safety almost the entire game. OL held up well.Thought pass blocking was very good. They got to Josh a couple times on blitzes but otherwise the OL was solid. Dawkins looked especially good today. Hell even Epenesa made a play. Lastly, how about my boy Allen? He took a lot of flack on this board last week and justifiably so. He came back this week and played nearly flawlessly. Six more to go to get to 7-1.‐
  14. I've given Bernard a lot of crap. But he played a very good game today.
  15. On Monday everyone remember that one of the targets to Davis was uncatchable. That's franchise QB play and throw!!!!
  16. Don't understand why Josh is not understand center on that 4th down. Even if you want to throw it is better to play action from under center. Really poor job Dorsey
  17. Davis, Bernard, Epenesa, Oliver, and Knox making plays. ..This board is going to melt down
  18. As with all things in life a little context helps. Newcam you lack any nuance in your post. 4 targets for a rookie TE is actually a decent amount. TE's take a while to develop. Now I've said all off-season he is a pass catcher not a TE. Even there, 4 targets for a rookie pass catcher on a team with a superstar WR and solid other options is pretty good. So yes there is something to be encouraged about that performance. For reference, Kelce missed his entire rookie year. In his first game of the second year he caught 3 of 5 targets for 49 yards. Kittle first game 5 rec on 6 targets for 27 yards. Gronk 1 rec on 1 target for 1 yard. Hockenson is the outlier catching 6 balls for 131 yards and TD. The next two games though he would combine for 2 catches for 8 yards. So 4-4 for 26 in his first game is just fine.
  19. First of seven in a row! Now bench Bernard and start playing Kirksey
  20. I have no problem with designed QB runs. They are highly effective. No issue if they call them. Many times they result in a TD. Just be smart at the end of any run be it by design or a scramble. Get down or go out of bounds. Learn to live and come back next down. Josh has had two elbow injuries and both were in the pocket. Not running is not the correct answer. Running smart and not stupid is the right answer.
  21. Fair criticism of the route but someone else in another thread said Knox and Kincaid ran it virtually the same way. So maybe coaching. Maybe it just needs to be a ball that goes to the sideline. You saw the fumble as I did as well. He was looking to his right. So either he was not prepared or the snap was early. They won't let us know. Regardless he collected himself but failed to secure the ball well enough. He has got to learn to give up on certain plays and just move to the next down. A 1 yard gain is no different than a 1 yard loss on first down.
