  1. Do you seriously expect them to carry on after they saw their teammate need CPR to resuscitate him? This applies to any workplace environment. The Bills should not be penalized for this unfortunate incident.
  2. Haha, thanks for the correction. I meant Joe Thomas, not Zach. Updated!
  3. And the heat-related trauma from the Miami game. ----------- I was reading another forum with this tweet re the medical personnel each NFL team and stadium has. Pretty awesome.
  4. The Pro Football Hall of Fame delyaed this show on NFL Network from yesterday to today (January 4) out of respect for Damar Hamlin. [Notes: Semi-finalist and former Buffalo Bill London Fletcher did not make it. Neither did Henry Ellard, who was in his final year of regular eligibility. Players who were in their first-year of eligbility who did not make it are OT Jahri Evans and LB James Harrison.] Just announced: KR/PR/WR Devin Hester LB Patrick Willis LB Zach Thomas S Darren Woodson DB Rhonde Barber CB Albert Lewis (final year of regular eligibility) DE Dwight Freeney (first year of eligibility) DE/LB DeMarcus Ware DE Jared Allen WR Andre Johnson WR Reggie Wayne WR Torry Holt OT Willie Anderson OT Joe Thomas (first year of eligibility) [corrected--thanks to @BRH] DB Darrell Revis (first year of eligibility) Already Nominated as Finalists: Seniors: CB Ken Riley DE/DT Joe Klecko LB Chuck Howley Contributor: Coach Don Coryell The Hall of Fame’s 49-person Selection Committee will select the Class of 2023 in advance of Super Bowl LVII in Glendale, Ariz. The class will be announced live on the “NFL Honors” telecast scheduled to air at 9 p.m. ET Feb. 9. While there is no set number for any class of enshrinees, the Bylaws for the Selection Committee provide that between four and nine new members will be selected. The committee will trim down the finalists to ten, then five. These five finalists will be voted on individually, “yes” or “no,” and must receive the same 80% positive vote as the Coach/Contributor and Seniors Finalists to earn election to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
  5. They NFL is talking about a Week 19 at Cincy. We better win this Sunday, unless we want to concede the #1 seed.
  6. No, if the Pats win, they clinch. And the Bills are still playing for #1.
  7. The tab on top of the NFL's site lists BAL-CIN at Wednesday 7 PM (or 4 PM my time out west). Oops! Some intern must have messed up. https://www.nfl.com/
  8. NFL Capsules are out, and all announcers have been determined, as updated in the OP. They list BAL-CIN as either 1 PM or 4:25 PM ET. https://nflcommunications.com/Documents/2022%20Football%20Information/Capsules/Week%2018%20Capsules.pdf
  9. I agree--almost everything I read is postive. (A few people wanted the game to count as a 7-3 win for Cincinnati.) ll try to find it. There are at least three Bengals boards. I kind of don't want to post it if I find it though, since it gives more attention to a troll.
  10. Yeah, many people thought we would get Ian Eagle and Charles Davis to lead into Nantz and Romo getting either Philly-NYG (which would get the most numbers) or Baltimore-Cincy (if played at 4 PM). But NE-BUF is a true win-and-in game for NE, and for BUF, the #1 seed might be on the line. CBS found this attractive. The announcers most assuredly got this asignment before last night's happening. And that is how the tweet is worded too. Now it is even more compelling, assuming the game is played.
  11. Yep, good point. Someone on the Bengals forum also said Hamlin was a dirty player and cited that ejection. Ugh. And a twitter post aksed why are they suspeding the game for just a 6th-round draft pick. Unbelievable.
  12. For some (many?) years during the drought, if you counted only divsion records, like they do in college, the Bills would have been competitive with the Patriots. Either tied with them for the divsion title, or in second place.
  13. I know this is a sensitive time for everyone, especially Damar's family and the team. Still, the TV announcers and crews are getting ready for this weekend's games and many have been announced. They have to prepare as if there will be games this weekend. Below is what is set so far. Also, the maps may will not be issued tomorrow (Wednesday). At most, the FOX maps may be ready, but CBS is still up in the air regarding everything. [UPDATE: FOX hasn't even pushed its assignments to the listings services as of Wednesday morning, so no maps at all today (Wednesday).] NATIONAL BROADCASTS: Saturday 4:30 ET: Kansas City at Las Vegas (ESPN/ABC) Steve Levy, Louis Riddick, Dan Orlovsky (https://www.raiders.com/news/game-preview-raiders-finish-out-regular-season-against-the-chiefs-nfl-week-18) Saturday 8:15 ET: Tennessee at Jacksonville (ESPN/ABC) Joe Buck, Troy Aikman (see tweet below) Sunday Night: Detroit at Green Bay (NBC) Mire Tirico, Chris Collinsworth (https://nflcommunications.com/Documents/2022%20Football%20Information/Capsules/Week%2018%20Capsules.pdf) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CBS Early: New England at Buffalo Jim Nantz, Tony Romo Baltimore at Cincinnati Kevin Harlan, Trent Green (https://nflcommunications.com/Documents/2022 Football Information/Capsules/Week 18 Capsules.pdf) Cleveland at Pittsburgh Greg Gumbel, Adam Archuleta (https://nflcommunications.com/Documents/2022%20Football%20Information/Capsules/Week%2018%20Capsules.pdf) Houston at Indianapolis Spero Dedes, Jay Feeely (see tweet below) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CBS Late: New York Giants at Philadelphia Ian Eagle, Charles Davis (https://eagles.1rmg.com/season/2022/regular-season/week-18/weekly-release/) (also tweet below) Los Angeles Chargers at Denver Andrew Catalon, James Lofton (per Charger game notes and https://nflcommunications.com/Documents/2022%20Football%20Information/Capsules/Week%2018%20Capsules.pdf) FOX Early: New York Jets at Miami Joe Davis, Daryl Johnston (https://jets.1rmg.com/season/2022/regular-season/week-18/weekly-release/) (also tweet below) Minnesota at Chicago Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma (https://vikings.1rmg.com/season/2022/regular-season/week-18/game-release/) Tampa Bay at Atlanta Adam Amin, Mark Schlereth (https://static.clubs.nfl.com/image/upload/buccaneers/ufvtlqlcvxu358b3jeie) Carolina at New Orleans Jason Benetti, now Matt Millen (FOX removed Brady Quinn, per: https://mcusercontent.com/4ef9e48118d62394ba5b65ae9/files/76a874f6-4352-9c4b-9c6f-6099e2b37d22/Regionalization_1.8.23.pdf) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOX Late: Dallas at Washington Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen (https://washington.1rmg.com/season/2022/regular-season/week-18/weekly-guide/) Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Kevin Kugler, Mark Sanchez (https://rams.1rmg.com/season/2022/regular-season/week-18/weekly-book/) Arizona at San Francisco Chris Myers, Robert Smith (https://49ers.1rmg.com/season/2022/regular-season/week-18/weekly-release/) (also tweet below)
  14. Someone on another forum said if not playing this game or having it be a tie gives KC the number one seed, then how do you think Damar will feel when he wakes up that he cost the team at a shot at the number one seed? [Of course, he wouldn't have, but that is how he would feel probably.] I am not sure what to think. Maybe play the game at a later date in his honor?
  15. Thanks for giving us what people in the UK saw. Yeah, Sky and 99 Yards had nothing about this last time I checked. Probably wanted to avoid discussing the situation. Their sites and twitter might have changed since. Not sure.
  16. Someone on the Miami board said playing the game in Cincy is bad juju, given Hamlin and what happened to Tua.
  17. They said at the time no changes were planned, but it is not final. Plus, Miami would be angry we rested against the Patriots. No, it is Sunday.
  18. There won't be a forfeit. The NFL wouldn't want egg on its face for forcing one team to take the loss because of an injury like this. There either will be a tie, double win, or no contest declared. Plus, Cincy would not accept a win by foreit. KC, if they had any balls, wouldn't accept the number 1 seed this way either.
