  1. Your English is excellent! Is English part of the school curriculum there? I know it was for my mom, who grew up in Taiwan.
  2. I remember when only 5 teams per conference qualified for the NFL playoffs (3 division winners and 2 wild cards). A division title meant an automatic bye (but not necessarily a home game). Also remember the old NBA mini-series (best of 3) in the first round. In MLB, there was once only 2 division winners per league qualifying for the playoffs and no inter-league play. 20-game-win pitchers were more common. Some teams had two. How things have changed. As for the NHL, I liked it when there was the Adams Division, Patrick Division, Norris Division, and Smythe Division. And Prince of Wales and Clarence Campbell Conferences. Why did they have to ruin a good thing? [Side note: a good mnemonic I used to remember the conferences was the Edmonton Oilers had the same name as the Houston Oilers, who had Earl Campbell. Thus, Edmonton was in the Campbell Conference.]
  3. Just post a link to that post here so anyone can read it if they so desire. No need to bump.
  4. Someone laughed at this post. Hope it was a mis-press.
  5. Way too early. Anything said here is just wild guesses. Let's wait until tags, tenders, free agency, trades, the draft, front office changes, etc. are completed.
  6. These are good points, but I am wondering is there a contradiction here, or can these both be true? Also, what can McBeane learn from the Patriots? Find a way to get the most out of players and play better situational football? Don't spend top dollars on free agents (like Von??) Build up your offensive line?
  7. Ok, the Pats wee the victim here. The NFL is rigged then. Take this whining to the Pats board. I thought you were a good poster.
  8. I just can't see Tampa Bay drafting a QB in the first round when they still have Kyle Trask, who was drafter number 33 overall in 2021. [Also, learned something new today: "junior" is abbreviated "jnr" in British English!]
  9. I hate so say it, but KC 34-Philly 19.
  10. Draft mock: https://thedraftnetwork.com/2023-nfl-mock-draft-trades/amp/ Cincinnati trades Tee Higgins, 2023 1st (no. 28 overall), 2023 2nd (no 59 overall), and 2024 3rd for Chicago's 2023 2nd (no. 2 overall), and drafts Will Anderon, Jr., Edge from Alabama: "With potentially monstrous new contracts on the horizon for Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase, something has to give. In this case, it means Tee Higgins can’t get the deal he deserves in Cincinnati and asks for a trade. The wide receiver and draft-pick-needy Bears are willing to move back, pick up picks, and add a superstar pass-catcher for Justin Fields. The Bengals give up their second-round pick and a 2024 third-rounder that could get replaced with a Jessie Bates III comp pick. As for who the Bengals take here, why not select arguably the best overall player in the class to help the defense excel? While this doesn’t fill a major need yet, there’s no such thing as having too many pass rushers. The hypothetical of Anderson Jr., Sam Hubbard, and Trey Hendrickson all wreaking havoc together only aids Cincinnati’s Super Bowl aspirations. The Bengals get a rare opportunity to add an elite draft talent despite being a Super Bowl contender."
  11. It's really way too early to make QB comparisons, or team comparisons, saying we are the Colts or whoever.
  12. The NFL generally doesn't like scheduling an inter-conference matchup to start the season unless it really has no better choice. And I think the nation is sick of us, judging by tweets and posts in other forums/articles. Half this forum is too, lol. And because the Hamlin thing, I guarantee you us at Cincy won't be primetime either. They will stick it at 1 PM.
  13. Ugh, this board has been hard to read for the last week 5 days. The debate about what to do after such a promising start this season (we were favored in each of our 19 games) is going to go on forever. Whatever the case, this is going to be a long off-season. Can September start soon enough?
  14. For those who didn't want to click on the article link, here is the tweet:
  15. Wow...thank you for this great post outlining your experiences in the SB! I can tell you put a lot of thought into it. Also, I am sorry for your health issues. I hope it works out for you. [Many people here really want the Bills to finally win one before...well...you know.] You have great memorabilia. I never even knew SkyBox printed cards live! You are very kind to offer them. And I wonder how much that OJ jersey is worth now, given his crimes. He was really popular, along with Paul McGuire, back in those days, being on NBC. Both were Bills homers, and I loved it. And Hillary's look back in those days was popular. Later, the first name "Hillary" fell out of popularity for baby names though, as did "Monica". As for Pasadena, yes, it is beautiful. I only passed though there once while traveling, but it was gorgeous.
  16. Yeah, because it was an important date in Bills history. You can't just filter out all the bad stuff, as much as I want to.

  19. This game in 1993 in Pasadena also marked the Bills' third consecutive Super Bowl loss. Dallas scored 35 points off these nine turnovers. This game is tied with SB XXXVII between Oakland and Tampa Bay as the highest scoring Super Bowl, with 69 combined points. This was also the first time Buffalo had played Dallas since 1984. Michael Jackson performed at the halftime show, which was the NFL's first-ever top-act signing for the game. The only good thing about this game was Don Beebe's hustle to prevent Leon Lett from scoring a TD fumble recovery after Frank Reich was stripped. Tired of these bad memories. The Bills need to finally win one now that we have Josh. Leon Lett's fumble into the endzone:
  20. So SF loses QB1 and QB2 and doesn't lose a beat. Why can't Buffalo do the same if disaster strikes?
  21. Sounds like the yummiest option to me.
  22. Great. More draft picks for SF. When is someone going to hire Frazier?
  23. The draft order has now been updated after the completion of Championship Sunday.
  24. Then again, I've had milk last for a month past the expiration date (but also had milk go bad the day before expiration-- Sunnsyside Farms in the carton and Trader Joe's seem to be the worse for this).
