  1. The thing is: 3 of those 5 primetime games are later in the season, either SNF or MNF, and those games can be flexed. [Also, the guy who tweeted is the beat writer for the Packers for The Athletic.]
  2. Packers get 5 primetime games this year, even without Rodgers:
  3. Confirmed: San Francisco at Philadelphia - Week 13 December 3 at 4:25 PM ET:
  4. When the games start at 6:30 AM, it's bad.
  5. So Mami keeps all 9 home games in their hot weather, and gets to play KC in a non-hostile environment, with Hill not returning to face his former fans. While Buffalo has to face KC in Arrowhead. Sounds fair.
  6. In just over a day. Gotta be an all-time record for TBD!
  7. Gary Anderson was drafted by Buffalo in the 7th round in 1982, when they were 12 rounds. He sandbagged his way out of Buffalo and got cut in the pre-season, only to go on to Pittsburgh and become one of the greatest kickers in NFL history. But he was just a 7th round pick, so nothing to cry about. I am so glad we got Scott Norwood a few years later instead. He did so much better. He kicked the game-winning walk-off field goal for us in SB XXV!, our first of four straight Super Bowl wins! Oh wait...
  8. Yeah, I am quoting myself, but I still have 0.5 days left to see if this thread gets closed. It's just going to be an endless debate with attacks, accusations, and everyone on both sides getting pissed off. I don't see anything good coming from this thread.
  9. I don't see anything wrong with his post. He was just making a statement of fact. Now this is way over the top and unwarranted.
  10. Kobe Bryant, Ray Lewis, and Ben Roethlisberger beg to differ.
  11. Dan Gilleon is getting blasted on his twitter feed, but really no bad reviews on his Yelp page.
  12. The ideal situation would be for the league to give us a roster and salary-cap exemption to carry Ariaza until Martin's contract is up. So, we get to carry 54 players. Absent that, a 4th round comp pick would do.
  13. Yep, when Michael Irvin was vindicated in 1996 or 1997, he told the media repeatedly: "Don't lose the intensity! Don't lose the intensity! [when reporting this news]. He was indignant.
  14. I agree for this reason. And it's become a witch hunt. And for a lot of political stuff being posted too.
  15. Heck, if he outperforms Martin, he gets the job.
  16. I agree...except Beane was the one who cut him (albeit under public pressure...he still might have anyway though). I think it's standard, until the process plays out. I think it's with pay?
  17. I'm thinking she would declare bankruptcy in that case to get out of paying. Is that possible?
  18. Well...I give to over/under to this thread being shut down for not contributing positively to the community here 1.5 days.
  19. And Beane needs to do better investigations. Apparently, at least two other teams knew of the allegations. Those teams should have some liability for not informing the NFL, so they could warn others.
  20. Uh...looks like a Cleveland Browns helmet. Nice attempt, but I'll pass.
  21. I am not sure if anybody here on TBD accused him. I wasn't, buy many were going by an allegation that he admitted having sex with her, which is, by definition, statutory rape in California. I am still angry we let him go. It won't happen, but the fair thing would be for the NFL to award us a 5th 4th round comp pick in 2024.
  22. Most likely her parents have homeowner's insurance, which would cover this (I think).
  23. Irvin was falsely accused of sexual assault in 1996: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Michael_Irvin "Fabricated sexual assault allegation against Irvin" [excerpt from wikipedia:] "In 1996, as the Cowboys prepared to play the Carolina Panthers in the NFC Divisional Playoff game, media reports stated that Irvin and teammate Erik Williams, while under the influence of cocaine, had sexually assaulted a Dallas Cheerleader, Nina Shahravan, and, with a gun to her head, videotaped the interaction. Despite Williams' and Irvin's denials of the allegations, the story largely overshadowed the game, which the Cowboys lost. The accuser was later proven to have fabricated the entire incident. She recanted her story, pled guilty to perjury and filing a false police report, and was sentenced to 90 days in jail and a fine.[16] In the game against Carolina, Irvin was injured in the opening minutes and did not return." He overcame this and continued a successful career with the Cowboys for three more years and then went on to a successful career in sports broadcasting. So, so can Matt Araiza, hopefully with Buffalo.
  24. Would it make sense to bring him this preseason to compete with Martin? He would a cheaper option.
