  1. I did some research. Burkhardt and Olsen have only been a tandem since 2021, when they were the B-team for FOX (Buck and Aikman were the A-team). They became the A-team when Buck and Aikman left for ESPN in 2022. Burkhardt and Olsen have never called a Bills game. The last time we had Burkhardt was 2018 pre-season Week 3, Sunday August 26 when we hosted Cincinnati. At the time, the (B-)team was Burkhardt, Charles Davis, and Pam Oliver: https://archive.506sports.com/wiki/2018_NFL_Season https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greg_Olsen_(American_football)
  2. Not yet...no one has AFAIK. Maybe they will announce it during the Seattle at San Francisco game, but I am not watching that one. I will post as soon as I know...or maybe others will. We'll know by Tuesday afternoon at the latest.
  3. I thought by "SD" you meant South Dakota. But there are also other markets not showing us, like Los Angeles and many areas around Colorado.
  4. UPDATE: CBS Single: Seattle and Spokane WA: JAX-CLE to IND-CIN (Fri) The people of Washington and northern Idaho have spoken. Vox populi, vox Dei!
  5. So on the KC forum, there is an entire thread about Carl Cheffers. https://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=351263 The OP asked what you think his worse call will be in the game. Some answers: 1. Calling Andy Reid for a personal foul eating a cheeseburger. 2: 3. "Bills DT will copy the Eagles and attempt to dive to catch the spike when Mahomes is setting up Butker for the game winning field goal. Mahomes will see it and turn a bit when spiking the ball to avoid a pick. Refs will call Mahomes for intentional grounding, which will push us out of field goal range. Mahomes will be forced to attempt a Hail Mary. Kelce will tackle all Bills DBs to free up MVS. Mahomes will throw a perfect pass, which MVS will drop to lose the game." 4. The NFL doesn't want KC in the SB this year. 5. "Did Carl cost us a Super Bowl by teaming up with brady? Yeah. Has he screwed us over numerous times in the regular season? Yeah. But after the crowd subdued him during the Raiders game after his terrible call against Chris Jones' great sack and strip play, I think he got scared straight. He didn't screw us over in the Super Bowl and actually let us win. He's still got an ankle monitor on in my book, but I'm going to be charitable and let him leave the referee house occasionally. I'm willing to judge him on his behavior going forward and not on the crimes of his past." 6. Another posted this is his first game back in KC since their Raiders game with Derek Carr: 7. Someone said there will be a lot of bitching about his calls in the GDT. [Note: Microsoft Edge's spell check does not want to suggest "bitching" as the correct choice no matter how clos I am to the correct spelling!]
  6. So, on the Steelers forum they are calling for the firing on Mike Tomlin and some want a complete rebuild. http://thesteelersfans.com/forums/forums/steelers-talk.5/ [Note: the website has been down since late last night and is still down.] Some of the comments from after the game were: Mike Tomlin has lost the locker room Tomlin looked like a deer in the headlights in the late 4th quarter Players can do anything they want under Tomlin and not be held accountable Tomlin's time in Pittsburgh has run its course like Andy Reid's in Phiily did. Like Reid, he needs to be let go The only reason Tomlin was good was because he had Ben, Bell, AB, etc. This regime will never fire Tomlin; he' have to resign first Why does this all sound so familiar?? [Also, if he is fired (he won't be), do we want him?! LOL...not really a question.]

  10. Oh I think the fans overseas love it. 11. Move to the west coast and the games start at 10 AM!
  12. Not sure if you can make someone of Von's level and reputation inactive. It would be like benching LeBron James, sort of. Besides, he might be angry this week and have something to prove. He'll be motivated. We need him for KC. Until the NFL suspends him at least, which they haven't done.

In the Wild Card Round that season, the Chiefs played the Steelers in a close, hotly-contested matchup. The Chiefs went down 18-10 with under 10 minutes to go in the game. Smith then led a seven-minute, 15-play touchdown drive to get KC within two points with 2:43 left on the clock. Smith and company just needed a two-point conversion to tie the game, and they got it when the Chiefs QB found Demetrius Harris in the end zone. However, NFL referee Carl Cheffers (No. 51) threw a flag and called a controversial holding call on Chiefs left tackle Eric Fisher. The next attempt failed. Ben Roethlisberger got the ball back, the Steelers got a 1st-down, and Big Ben took three knees to end the game. After the game, Travis Kelce didn’t hold back. The then-budding star said if NFL referees “want to take over the game and make it their own platform, there’s nothing you can do about it.” Kelce vehemently asserted it wasn’t a hold on Fisher and then went on to crush Cheffers in a classic rant that could only have come from the outspoke tight end. “[We] just got out jugulars ripped out because ref felt bad for James Harrison falling on the ground,” Kelce fumed. “It’s ignorance. The ref, No. 51, shouldn’t even be able to wear a zebra jersey ever again. He shouldn’t even be able to work at f***ing Foot Locker.”' https://www.si.com/extra-mustard/2023/01/31/super-bowl-referee-carl-cheffers-stats [limited free views] "Based on Carl Cheffers Stats, Expect Lots of Flags and the Under in Super Bowl LVII" "According to BetArizona.com, which was kind enough to send me some stats, Cheffers ranked first in total penalties called per game this season at 12.59. Cheffers also led all NFL refs in penalties called last season. He also was first in total yards in penalties given per game at 109.94. Cheffers and his crew (which will be different for the Super Bowl) also called 21 pass interferences this season, which ranked second among NFL refs."
