  1. The next Buffalo Bills player(s) who will be enshrined via the regular (under 25 years of eligibility) process will maybe be from: Marshawn Lynch Jason Peters Stephon Gillmore Von Miller Gary Anderson (unlikely) Anquan Boldin (unlikely) Josh and Stefon: too soon to tell. Am I forgetting anyone?
  2. But Tasker can now only be selected by the Seniors Committee, so it is a separate pool.
  3. The Hall of Fame's by-laws require that between 4 and 9 people are elected each year, so you must choose more. https://www.profootballhof.com/hall-of-famers/selection-process/ "There is no set number for any class of enshrinees, but the Committee's current bylaws stipulate that between four and nine new members will be selected each year. The 1973 and 1976 classes of three were the smallest named."
  4. To add to Draconator's post: London Fletcher did not make the cut. 5. UPDATE: Blackouts for CBS early slot now in effect for Houston and Tampa Bay/St. Perersburg: Houston is exercising its right to enforce a blackout in its DMA on KHOU (CBS/11) Houston in the early Sunday time slot. [Home teams have to allow the other network to air a competing game in the same time slot on the singleheader network four times a year but can enforce a blackout if that number has been or will be exceeded that season. This will be the sixth time this year for Houston.] Tampa Bay is exercising its right to enforce a blackout in its DMA on WTSP (CBS/10) St. Petersburg in the early Sunday time slot. [Home teams have to allow the other network to air a competing game in the same time slot on the singleheader network four times a year but can enforce a blackout if that number has been or will be exceeded that season. This will be the sixth time this year for Tampa Bay.] Map will be changed shortly. Map has been changed. UPDATE 2: FOX Single: Columbus OH: PIT-SEA to NO-TB (Wed) Birmingham AL: NO-TB to AZ-PHI (Wed) Abilene and San Angelo TX: AZ-PHI to TN-HOU (Wed) Maps has been changed.
  6. Buffalo is destroying the competition. 769 votes right now vs. the second-closest at 81 (Tee Higgins catch).
  7. If BUF-MIA is for the division, both teams will play hard knowing it is for HFA the following week. Plus, the two teams hate each other
  8. Last year SEA needed help from DET to make the playoffs, but SEA played late and Game 272 (actually 271) was DET-GB. It was thought DET would have no motivation to win, having been eliminated earlier by the SEA win, but they played hard and beat GB, knocking GB from the playoffs. So the reality is the NFL wants the best game on SNF.
  9. Of curiosity: This is the first time Nashville is not getting an NFC game in the afternoon slots: CBS: MIA-BAL CIN-KC FOX: TEN-HOU
  10. Not a coincidence: the NFL clearly took New Year's Eve into consideration, as there are no Eastern Time zone late or SNF games: Central Time: GB-MIN on SNF CIN-KC 4:25 PM ET Mountain Time: LAC-DEN 4:25 PM ET Pacific Time: PIT-SEA 4:05 PM ET Good reason why MIA-BAL was not flexed to SNF, plus it could have been protected by CBS.
  11. The NFL UK is having its annual year-end vote for 2023 NFL Play of the Year on its twitter. We won it last year with Nyheim Hines kickoff TD return against New England winning. Let's win it again. You just have to like the tweet. Here are the choices. The Stefon Diggs TD catch is currently leading.

  13. Who knows...Washington is a sh*t show. But if Rivera is fired, KC at that point, if they want him, might be Bienemy's only choice.
  14. My guess is the AFC side will be announced sometime during FNIA. If both SEA (vs PIT, maybe) and LAR (at NYG, expected) win, someone is getting eliminated on SNF this week (either GB or MIN) so the NFC side may wait until it gets close to the end of SNF. In any case the Week 18 schedule should be announced during SNF: before, during, or after.
  15. A blackout currently means a network in that time slot is not showing any game. The current rule is home teams have to allow the other network to air a competing game in the same time slot on the singleheader network four times a year, but can enforce a blackout if that number has been or will be exceeded that season. This rule does not apply to the first and last weeks of the season, when both networks show a double-header. Only a few teams this year had that situation (not Buffalo). It used to be for all home games, but in 2019 the NFL allowed two opposite games to be aired, then the current four in 2020 (because of the pandemic). It used to mean the network could not show your home team if they game did not sell out 72 hours in advance, but that rule was lifted in 2014. The original idea was to incentivize the local fan base to buy tickets to support the home team, but the NFL found they lost more money by the game not being shown on TV than by any loss in ticket sales. Blackouts were common before 2014, especially in Buffalo, with a smaller market and larger stadium. The Wild Card game in 1993 vs. the Oilers was even blacked out. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Football_League_television_blackout_policies EDIT to add my second response: As for the Seattle game, I believe Burkhardt and Olsen would have been there, but FOX is always weird. They do what they want to do time in and time out .NO-TB is a big game, but it's the NFC South with small markets and mediocre records. They really could have been assigned anywhere, with the exception of TEN-HOU. These games all involve big markets: LAR @ NYG SF @ WSH AZ @ PHI These are better games with playoff implications, but smaller markets, and one is a mediocre AFC team: NO @ TB PIT @ SEA These are both AFC teams and FOX doesn't like all AFC games, especially in small markets: TN @ HOU
  16. NYC switched, AFAIK, to MIA-BAL. Zap2it has changed to them.
  17. It does really suck for you guys, but if you it's on GamePass/DAZN if you pay for that:
  18. Bills shouldn't be on Peacock since NBC already has the Buffalo subscribers. They want new subscribers.
  19. There are no Monday night games Week 18. All on Sunday and two on Saturday. Both networks have double-headers. There is always SNF, termed "Game 272", except in 2017, when there was none, as no game was deemed worthy enough (but it would have been called "Game 256" back then, as there were only 16 games in a season). Also, lots of Australian fans up now (but no Bills game for you this week :-( )!
  20. On the Miami forum, it comes out as "Pea****", lol.
