  1. That isn't true.
  2. This is a huge accomplishment for the Buffalo area. When was the last time this happened for a pro team in Buffalo? i know the Bisons were back-to-back league champs in 1997 and 1998 and the Bills were back-to-back league champs in 1964 and 1965.
  3. Yes, I agree. But back then, IIRC, even quick plays took 6-7 seconds on average. If that is true, we would have risking a lot by trying to run another play. With Buffalo's luck, the receiver would have been tackled right before getting OOB. But kicking a 48-yarder was risky too. Damned either way, I guess. EDIT: Damn Gary Anderson. We drafted the guy. He would have made it.
  4. Overall I'm happy, especially that we get TNF out of the way early and play at Miami at night. Not thrilled we play three straight on the road (Baltimore, Houston, the Jets) but we could be San Francisco. On sports talk radio here they are complaining about playing four teams off a bye, including KC, (who has never lost after a bye week according one of the announcers--not sure if that is true). And they play us after our bye too
  5. When I watched live, I had a bad feeling about the kick. The Bills had struggled all game. It was a long FG for back then, and Norwood sucked on those and on grass. Five yards closer and I would have felt more confident.
  6. I'm consistent. If the speed limit is 80 mph in one state and 65 in another, you better go 65 in the latter. You have to adjust to the state.
  7. Broke the law?
  8. So you're saying the Chargers are going to win the West? I can live with that. I guess I'd rather we play Herbert than Mahomes.
  9. It's in JGMcD2's post:
  10. I saw someone last week in San Jose riding a bike while holding an open bottle of Modelo which he was drinking. In broad daylight. I also saw a homeless person look through all the trash cans in a plaza to remember where he hid his open bottle of alcohol. He eventually found it and then sat concealed under a bush near the Burger King drive-thru to drink it. Then he left it there when he was done and disappeared into the bushes. This was at 4 PM on a Sunday.
  11. A reporter for the Kansas City Star is urging that Rice be cut or traded. He says, in addition to the crash, narcotics, and disregarding his victims, he left his playbook in the car. "If those actions weren’t egregious enough, a Chiefs playbook was also left behind, according to The Star. In pro sports, a team’s playbook is sacred. Not only did Rice show disregard for public safety — he is fortunate he didn’t seriously injure someone or himself — his blatant disregard for important team documents should be a fireable offense."
  12. Just learned "fr" means "for real".
  13. Minor technicality: the Thursday NFL Kickoff is actually "SNF" since it is on NBC. "TNF", "SNF", and "MNF" refer the to the primetime broadcast packages awarded to the NFL's partners no matter what day the games are actually shown on.
  14. Re the CBS Sports prospect rankings, the last time I checked they had a top OL (I believe it was) omitted (don't ask me whom... I forgot). So just a warning to all.
  15. Let's wait until after the draft, and ideally, after the pre-season to see how the roster shapes up.
  16. Bad memories. We traded up for Watkins when Mack was there.
  17. So until Buffalo wins the SB this trade will haunt Buffalo for some. It is kind of like this generation's Wide Right. When will we win the SB? I want to know.
  18. Well since this topic is being brought up the 10th billion time, this is perfect. I am in the Bay Area and am listening to sports talk radio here ad nauseam. Some of the fans are demanding Shanahan and Lynch be fired for not winning the 49ers' sixth Lombardi, especially after having the better team and being favored. So let's get those two! [/sarcasm]
  19. Sorry this post is late, but obviously, the final draft order is now determined, subject to further trades. Carolina and Cleveland do not have first-round picks.
  20. Yep, this is Schefter's tweet for the Eagles home opponents:
  21. Also Brian McKnight and 10,000 Maniacs: https://welcome716.com/2021/06/17/buffalo-niagara-musicians-bands/
  22. They're playing this song right now at my gym (and playing girls flag football on the TV). I wouldn't have known what this was called but for this thread. Thanks, I guess.l, lol. I personally like that Ozzy song they play at Bills games.
