Of the serious SB Contenders who had the best draft?
chongli replied to Big Blitz's topic in The Stadium Wall
Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports really liked the Ravens draft: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2022-nfl-draft-winners-and-losers-jets-eagles-ravens-get-top-hauls-bumpy-road-for-baker-mayfield-patriots/ "The Ravens clearly had one of the best drafts, and it's because they took the best available player more often than not. Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton may be the best player in the draft, Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum is a legitimate first-round talent and David Ojabo is a first-rounder if he doesn't suffer a torn Achilles. Maybe he will miss his rookie season, but it's worth it if he's a star for many years to come. It wasn't just the first few picks that the Ravens scored highly on. Fourth-round pick Daniel Faalele is a 6-foot-8 offensive tackle who could have a bright future in the league, cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis was an "A+" pick and then Baltimore took two tight ends in Charlie Kolar from Iowa State and Isaiah Likely from Coastal Carolina. That sounds like a weird strategy, but Likely is a versatile pass-catcher who probably will line up in several different spots." -
Thanks for making these. Here's a quick tip: if you want to go that extra mile and make these pics readable without even having to click on them, upload these images to a free site, like https://postimages.org/, then post the link they give you. That's what I do anyway. [This also goes to @Yantha, who I think screenshotted the ESPN depth chart in another recent thread and uploaded the file.]

I think he was joking. -
He is listed as one of the three starting WR's.

Maybe Moorman will come out of retirement for us, and to win a SB trophy?!

I have a feeling @ScottLaw was being ironic? "Spelt" is British for the past tense of "spell", just as "defence" is the British spelling.

Yep, Maybin was bad. I can't disagree with your pick, but Mikey gets my vote. Total waste of a prime no. 4 pick. Ugh.

Oh duh!I I must learn to read. lol!

They changed the rule a while back, so both Dallas and Detroit can play NFC opponents. For example, here are the Thanksgiving games from 2014-2016: Nov. 27, 2014 DETROIT LIONS 34, Chicago Bears 17 Philadelphia Eagles 33, DALLAS COWBOYS 10 Seattle Seahawks 19, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 3 Nov. 26, 2015 DETROIT LIONS 45, Philadelphia Eagles 14 Carolina Panthers 33, DALLAS COWBOYS 14 Chicago Bears 17, GREEN BAY PACKERS 13 Nov. 24, 2016 DETROIT LIONS 16, Minnesota Vikings 13 DALLAS COWBOYS 31, Washington Redskins 26 Pittsburgh Steelers 28, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 7

This would have been a good poll question.

I haven't read the whole thread, but wanted to say that is like saying KC in the past was not truly elite without Mahomes, Kelce, and Hill. The reason the Bills offense is elite is exactly because of Josh, Stefon, etc.

Anyone else become a Bills fan because of a player from college?

I did not know this. Thanks for the history lesson! Someday...big time college football in upstate NY would be awesome (besides Syracuse). -

Yeah, I get that, along with Stony Brook, but UB is really not known as a college football powerhouse. In fact, NY is the largest state in the nation, population-wise, without a state (public) football team in the Power 5 (fourth most populous). The next is Massachusetts, with the 16th largest population; then Connecticut at 29 and Nevada at 31. That NY doesn't have a bigger college football team is kind of shocking, really. -
I am wondering about this. A person has no obligation to speak to the police. Most criminal lawyers would tell you to shut up, and the police are not your friend. Maybe I am wrong, but I do not think there mere fact that he didn't tell anyone after the shooting occurred makes him an accessory after the fact, without doing something else to hinder the investigation or aid the perpetrator. This is what I found from Cornell: https://www.law.cornell.edu/wex/accessory_after_the_fact#:~:text=An accessory-after-the-,person avoid arrest or punishment. "Accessory After The Fact | Wex | US Law | LII / Legal Information Institute (cornell.edu) An accessory-after-the-fact is someone who assists 1) someone who has committed a crime, 2) after the person has committed the crime, 3) with knowledge that the person committed the crime, and 4) with the intent to help the person avoid arrest or punishment." But maybe, as you said, he was somehow involved in the planning beforehand. That's a whole different story, potentially making just as guilty as the shooter.

Yeah, NY state as a whole is horrible for college football--there is not even a state team like Penn State or OSU. Got sick and tired of hearing about small-time Canisius and Buff State. But when I became a fan of the Bills in the 80's, Syracuse was somewhat good in the Big East Conference and even nationally. [As an aside, Canisus beat some powerhouse back in the 80's or 90's, and some national sports reporter pronounced it as "can - i - sigh - us", lol!] -
I remember in 1992 that sentiment changed very quickly against the Bills. After losing two straight SB's, Jay Leno on NBC's Tonight Show said at the beginning of the season something like: "Now is the time the other 27 teams compete to see who gets to beat Buffalo in the Super Bowl". Then in 1994, the country was sick and tired of the Bills in the SB every year. So, after defeating Kansas City in the AFC Championship Game, two things stick out to me: 1. There was a fan sign in Rich Stadium which said something to the effect of: "We are headed to the Super Bowl America...Deal with it!". 2. In the post-game interview, Jim Kelly said on live TV: "Weeeee'rrrreeee Baaaaack!!!" in a sarcastic tone to all the haters Yes, so cherish it while it lasts..
