  1. Yeah, Kevin Durant tried that in the NBA, with "The Servant". Didn't work.
  2. We drafted him in 1982 in the 7th round. This was actually a high pick for a kicker, as there were 12 rounds back then, so it would be like a 4th rounder today. He had a spectacular college career at Syracuse, and being known to have a super strong leg. Everyone knew he would be a future star. We had high hopes, but he purposely sandbagged in the pre-season, so we had no choice but to cut him after giving him numerous chances in games. He wanted out of Buffalo, because Ralph was known to be cheap, and our reputation. He went on to sign with Pittsburgh soon after, and the rest is history. He quickly became one of the greatest kickers in NFL history and had a long career, winning numerous honors. I am still stung by this EDIT: He is an f'in POS. Why did we waste a draft pick on him if he never was going to play for us? He should have been like Eli Manning and announce pre-draft he would never play for San Diego.
  3. Too soon. I am against giving nicknames to a rookie who hasn't even made the final roster yet. I am still wary from the Gary Anderson situation.
  4. https://steelersdepot.com/2021/03/new-tv-deals-raise-per-team-primetime-game-max-to-7-per-season/ "Part of the new deal allows for team to be scheduled for up to seven primetime games"
  5. Probably because he read @Alphadawg7's thread, lol.
  6. I paste a link as plain text (Control+Shift+V) [or right click and choose "paste as plain text"], and the link appears directly as a pic. It works the other way with image links as well (with just "Control+V"), but for a text link, using just "Control+V" makes a text link appear just as text, and not a link (at least with Microsoft Edge), so I always just paste an image link as a plain text to be safe. For example, with a direct image link (you need to post the link of the actual pic [right click and choose "Copy Image Link"):
  7. The only thing that puzzles me is why two other punters were drafted before Araiza, in the fourth round, no less.
  8. Jordan Dajani of CBS Sports really liked the Ravens draft: https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/2022-nfl-draft-winners-and-losers-jets-eagles-ravens-get-top-hauls-bumpy-road-for-baker-mayfield-patriots/ "The Ravens clearly had one of the best drafts, and it's because they took the best available player more often than not. Notre Dame safety Kyle Hamilton may be the best player in the draft, Iowa center Tyler Linderbaum is a legitimate first-round talent and David Ojabo is a first-rounder if he doesn't suffer a torn Achilles. Maybe he will miss his rookie season, but it's worth it if he's a star for many years to come. It wasn't just the first few picks that the Ravens scored highly on. Fourth-round pick Daniel Faalele is a 6-foot-8 offensive tackle who could have a bright future in the league, cornerback Jalyn Armour-Davis was an "A+" pick and then Baltimore took two tight ends in Charlie Kolar from Iowa State and Isaiah Likely from Coastal Carolina. That sounds like a weird strategy, but Likely is a versatile pass-catcher who probably will line up in several different spots."
  9. Thanks for making these. Here's a quick tip: if you want to go that extra mile and make these pics readable without even having to click on them, upload these images to a free site, like https://postimages.org/, then post the link they give you. That's what I do anyway. [This also goes to @Yantha, who I think screenshotted the ESPN depth chart in another recent thread and uploaded the file.]
  10. He is listed as one of the three starting WR's.
  11. Maybe Moorman will come out of retirement for us, and to win a SB trophy?!
  12. I have a feeling @ScottLaw was being ironic? "Spelt" is British for the past tense of "spell", just as "defence" is the British spelling.
  13. Yep, Maybin was bad. I can't disagree with your pick, but Mikey gets my vote. Total waste of a prime no. 4 pick. Ugh.
  14. They changed the rule a while back, so both Dallas and Detroit can play NFC opponents. For example, here are the Thanksgiving games from 2014-2016: Nov. 27, 2014 DETROIT LIONS 34, Chicago Bears 17 Philadelphia Eagles 33, DALLAS COWBOYS 10 Seattle Seahawks 19, SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS 3 Nov. 26, 2015 DETROIT LIONS 45, Philadelphia Eagles 14 Carolina Panthers 33, DALLAS COWBOYS 14 Chicago Bears 17, GREEN BAY PACKERS 13 Nov. 24, 2016 DETROIT LIONS 16, Minnesota Vikings 13 DALLAS COWBOYS 31, Washington Redskins 26 Pittsburgh Steelers 28, INDIANAPOLIS COLTS 7
  15. Ok, so the moderation software allows "shitting", but does not allow [3-letter word for female breasts beginning with "t"] that someone posted a variation of yesterday. Good to know...LOL!
  16. Wait, so you're saying the Bills will have to play in the Wild Card?! I want the number one seed this year!
  17. This would have been a good poll question.
