Up vote for @Chandler#81's post a little above this one, but it was deleted, so it wouldn't let me react. But I liked it!

What about the wear and tear on your car, and high gas prices (still over $5 a gallon where I live)? You work a lot of hours driving. Do you make enough to replace the car as it ages? And what about the increased risk of an accident? When I considered doing it, I was also told if after driving for a while, your car is going to permanently smell like a taxi.

Here I thought this was going to be an "undercover" type reveal, like Thurman Thomas working as a docent at the Hall of Fame: or Shaq as a Lyft driver:

Najee Harris tries to convert young Bills fan at Steelers camp
chongli replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall
I still hate you for being a Penguins fan, lol...just kidding. As for that Buffalo News survey, it was in the early 80's when the Braves sucked (other than having all world Dale Murphy). They had one first place finish in their division and a number of second place finishes, but back then, only the two division winners in each league got to go to the playoffs. The Braves didn't start become good until the 90's. I suspect if the was was done again now, they'd have a little more support. But I was also shocked as even faraway teams like the Mariners and Padres got a few votes. I'd also suspect the Yankees would win again in the Buffalo area if they did the survey again. Toronto would get some votes; maybe Cleveland and the Mets. Boston? No way, especially with the Bills-Patriots rivalry. And, just for kicks, if they did it for the NBA, it would come down to the Knicks, Nets, Celtics, and maybe the Raptors and Cavaliers. -
This post brings up awesome memories! My favorite videos of Lawson and Phillips from the 2019 Dallas Thanksgiving game, when Buffalo arrived in the national spotlight for the first time in the McBeane era and shocked the nation:

Seahawks turn down Jets offer of the #10 pick for DK Metcalf

LOL. I lived in Philadelphia for eight years. Eskin is a local sports radio hack who covers Philadelphia; he's no "NFL Insider". He can't even spell right ("fist round"). I feel sorry for the people of Philadelphia. BTW, here is the link: https://www.audacy.com/94wip/sports/eagles/report-seahawks-turned-down-no-10-from-jets-for-metcalf -
Najee Harris tries to convert young Bills fan at Steelers camp

What? Not a Sabres fan?! 😄 And the semi-official MLB team of Buffalo is the NY Yankees. The Buffalo News held a vote in the early 80's and asked readers which team they should cover since Buffalo didn't have a team. The Yankees were the overwhelming choice. The only MLB team that did not get a single vote was the Braves. -
Cole Beasley given permission to seek trade

Maybe he meant "Smoke"?? Not sure. [EDIT: Oh, I see, t's a typo for "Cole". LOL.] -
I didn't realize Schwinn was the original (and didn't even realize they made these until your post above.) Good info. Yeah, at most gyms I've been to, I've seen the Assault Fitness AirBike, or sometimes the Rogue Echo. They must be cheaper, lol.

I was going to post the same thing. And that's actually an Assault Fitness AirBike. You can see the name if you blow up the pic

I actually like this. The closest thing on the web I found is this (but the red makes it too much NY Giants like): Better yet, for my preferences, at least (but with white buffalos and no buffalo stripe): and

Thank you to @Simon for changing the title. I had no idea what an "MVA" was until I had to look it up. [Sigh...new poster.]

Good find, but always post the link.

The NFL also has plenty of teams that got stronger after a gut-wrenching playoff loss. Here are four Bills examples: 1. 1980: The Bills, despite a hobbled Joe Ferguson, lose the divisional round game to San Diego 20-14 after a late 50-yard TD pass with a little over two minutes left in the fourth quarter from Dan Fouts to Ron Smith, blowing a 14-3 lead. Buffalo safety Bill Simpson missed the tackle for the NFL's number one rated defense that allowed this to happen. But Buffalo goes on the next season to the playoffs again, this time beating the Jets in the Wild Card game after Bill Simpson redeems himself by making a game-saving interception at the two-yard line with 10 seconds left in the game to win 31-27. 2. 1989: The Bills lose to Cleveland 34-30 after Ronnie Harmon drops a game-winning TD pass from Kelly with nine seconds left in the game. The Bills go on to the number one seed in the AFC the next season with a 13-3 record and make it to the Super Bowl. 3. 1990: The Bills lose SBXV to the NY Giants on "Wide Right" by Scott Norwood. They go on the following season to another AFC number one seed at 13-3 and to another Super Bowl. 4. 2019: The Bills lose to Houston 22-19 after blowing a 16-0 lead in the Wild Card game. They come back the next year to win the AFC East (going 6-0 against the division) and a 13-3 record, where Josh Allen has a break out season.

RAIDERS LEAD NFL IN TICKET REVENUE WITH $119 MILLION

Bill Polian “Bills are a dyed in the wool Super Bowl contender”
chongli replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Thanks for finding this. I had never heard of the term "dyed in the wool". -
Damn...this is good! Definitely post of the week!

I had forgotten about 2003...and for good reason!
-
He wouldn't have dared to do that under McDermott (I hope).

Same with Peerless Price. For the first time in his pro career, he had over 1,000 yards receiving with Drew Bledsoe in 2002 (1,252). Then we tagged and trade him to Atlanta for a 1st. He never had 1,000 yards again. What a steal for us!

No fair for those areas with area code second and third digits higher than "31". We don't get our own day.

And the Bills got bye weeks in Weeks 3 and 7! Someone in the NFL didn't like the Bills I guess, lol.
