  1. I see lots of trolls masquerading as Bills fans in this thread
  2. When I read the title, I assumed the thread was made by filthybeast.
  3. In related news, Jerry Hughes was fined for wearing pants too short: So was Matt Gay, the Rams kicker, for his attire vs. Buffalo last week:
  4. Damn! I hope you didn't tell your sister what happened. And I hope you wore gloves if you picked up her items. 😅 [And concerning the game again, the bad news was the strike began after that week's games concluded, and lasted eight weeks. The Bills started 2-0 but wound up 4-5 and out of the expanded playoffs I firmly bilieve the Bills would have had a magical season if it weren't for the strike. A writer in Sports Illustrated even predicted the Bills would win the Super Bowl after making the playoffs the previous two seasons. As it turned out, our AFC East rivals Miami and the Jets had terrific seasons. And that was the beginning of the Bills mid=80's downfall. Six straight seasons out of the playoffs, including two consecutvive 2-14 seasons followed by a 4-12 season. Buffalo had become the laughing stock of the league. Also, now that I checked, the game actually occurred on TNF. I could have sworn it was MNF. Either way, it was a school night for me.]
  5. I haven't read the entire thread, so there might be other responses, but I believe it is three seasons: 1994 - 11-5 - Cleveland 2008 - 10-6 - New England (with Mass Cassel as QB) 2021 - 10-7 - New England Without Brady, as a head coach of Cleveland and New England, he has four winning seasons and five losing.
  6. Reminds me when I was young, and watching the Minnesota at Buffalo MNF game right before the strike in 1982 (or was it blacked out and I was listening to the game in the living room??) . I had to go to bed at around half time or the foutth quarter maybe, but I still stayed up and listened quietly to Van Miller's call on the radio in my room in the total dark, lol. The Bills started 2-0 and one one of the SB favorites that year. No way I was going to miss the game. As it turned out, Buffalo came from behind 22-13 in the fourth quarter to win it 23-22. It was definitely worth staying up for!
  7. It's a good start time...but for fans who live on the west coast like me, it is a 4:15 start time, which means many people will still be at work or stuck in traffic. Which is a good point, but they effectively are right now for people who wouldn't have Prime otherwise or rely on Sunday Ticket and the like (albeit at a lower price than PPV). And if they ever go to true PPV, you can expect their viewership to drop and everyone heading to sports bars or private watch parties instead.
  8. That's bad, lol. I was also listening to the SXM app livestream of the game, and there was like a 3-5 minute time delay. Same thing last week for the Bills game. The Bills would score and everyone would announce here on the GDT, but the Bills would just be beginning the drive on SXM. A little ridiculous.
  9. Is it just me, or it the video behind the audio by abut 3 seconds during the Mahommes interview on Amazon?
  10. I might be wrong, but I think it is to balance out the network broadcast packages the NFL awards. Since ESPN/ABC doesn't get a Week 18 MNF game, they get two Week 2 (used to be Week 1). Just like NBC gets the opening Thursday night game to make up for them not getting one Week 18. But don't quote me on this.
  11. This is McD's reaction after making the playoffs in the 2017 Week 17 win at Miami:
  12. Check your downloads folder. Otherwise just use Word or whatever and type"TBD P" in a big bold font size.
  13. Yep. I'd be embarrassed just wearing green pants in general.
  14. The Denver forum is having a complete meltdown. I like these posts: 1. 2. 3.
  15. Geno Smith is now second in the NFL with a completion rate of 82.1%. Who would have thought he and Daniel Jones would be ranked second and third, respectively?
  16. As long as he praises Josh Allen and the Bills, I am good, haha! But more seriously, he does irritate me sometimes. There is a promo clip that plays repeatedly on his radio show at commercials where he compares Buffalo to Mike Tyson. He says Tyson struggled against good fighters lik Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis because he didn't have the finer skills necessary when he fought the best, as well as the best coaching, corners guys, etc. He had the best knockout punch, and that's all he needed when he fought most opponents. Then Cowherd says the Bills are like that: they blow out teams, similar to Tyson destroying opponents, but in close games last year they were actually 0-6. How many times is he going to air that promo? Drives me crazy. But it's either that or SXM NFL Radio when I'm driving.
  17. According to Colin Cowherd today, Dak should be back in 5 weeks or 6 weeks max. He says today's athletes have the best medical teams and recover faster. The Cowboys also do not want to give up assets for someone like Garoppolo since they need as many picks as they can get since so many of their past picks haven't worked out.
  18. From the Patriots forum after their loss at Miami: https://www.patsfans.com/new-england-patriots/messageboard/threads/official-post-game-thread-dolphins-beat-the-pats.1159061/post-6409097 Actually it was the loss in Foxborough two weeks earlier to the Bills that started the downslide. But, in any case, I'm glad we caused it.
  19. That entire week practicing in the heat and humidity of Miami...all for naught. Poor Bill.
  20. Maybe the fans, but certainly not the coach:
  21. Well, I know it's just one week (pending the MNF game), but Josh Allen leads the league in yards/attempt (minimum 15 passes) with 9.6 yards. StateFarm is second with 9.2, and Danny Dimes is third with 9.0 (not bad Daboll). (https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/category/passing/2022/REG/all/passingaverageyards/DESC) Josh also leads the league in completion percentage with 83.9%. Daniel Jones is second with 81%. Mahommes is third with 76.9% and Herbert is fourth with 76.5%. (https://www.nfl.com/stats/player-stats/category/passing/2022/REG/all/passingcompletionpercentage/DESC) (Josh also had an interception that he put right in the hands of McKenzie, so the two rates above should have been higher.)
  22. They said on the SXM live stream that that's why Tampa Bay drafted Jake Camarada in the 4th round...so he could punt it in the end zone for a touchback. LOL.
  23. We owe them two actually, for 2020 and 2021.
