  1. And of course, you are right. I stand corrected.
  2. I think Cooper might disagree with you.
  3. I wish either this thread would die or the OP would change the title. Sorry, it's driving me crazy.
  4. Miami has 10 days to prepare for their game against the Jets, just like Pittsburgh did against them. They have a hard road, like we used to.
  5. I bet you'll get the late CBS game of SF at Carolina like me.
  6. I hear ya. In my area, I will be forced to watch the late CBS game of San Francisco at Carolina. Faker Playfield...yay!
  7. Yes, "preventive" is fine for me, haha Your mentioning the use of "do" nowadays is a point well taken. How about "goes" instead of "says"? As in, "he goes 'how do you like that?'" And the use of the past tense of "write" ("wrote") instead of the past participle "written" (as well as other irregular verbs)? My doctor, who is about 20 years younger than I am and Brown educated, said something like "he has wrote". I had to bite my lip from saying anything, lol. I also once emailed a journalist about his usage of something similar, and he actually (and obliviously) defended what he wrote as correct. Don't get me started on "lay" vs. "lie" either. Or "submit" in mixed martial arts ("John submitted him"). Sorry, I can go on and on, as I expect you can.
  8. Bills 35, Pittsburgh 3
  9. For a moment there, I was confused as I thought you were referring to AJ McCarron, lol.
  10. "Irregardless" is one that drives me crazy. Also, the tautological syllable in "preventative".
  11. "For more ticket information, call or write:" Yeah, this definitely the 70's, lol!
  12. Kelly ran mostly a shot gun in the 90's, and Thurman had multiple 1,000 yard rushing seasons. So did Detroit with Barry Sanders.
  13. I though Aaron Kromer was supposed to fix all that with his zone blocking scheme? From an article: https://www.si.com/nfl/bills/news/what-aaron-kromer-brings-to-the-bills-is-exactly-what-they-need:
  14. Opening the season with straight home games? And finishing with four out of five on the road? Opening Sunday was not until after Labor Day? Playing Green Bay in the pre-season and again in the regular season? Playing the Rams of the NFC West as well as two teams from the NFC Central? Opening at home on MNF? But they didn't move until the 80's.
  15. I want him to go to the SB so the Bills can beat him in what is probably his final year.
  16. Yeah, you made a great attempt. It's hard to fit all the teams exactly into four divisions. Very creative thinking. Much better than I would have done.
  17. Falcons, Eagles, Ravens, and Seahawks as poultry? Ewwww. LOL.
  18. Commanders and Vikings need to switch. Rams and Cowboys should switch. Your Cowboys and Bears is good too. Also, for Browns, I think of Cleveland, which also means "Guardians", so they are a peacekeeper. But, yeah, "Peacekeepers" is weird.
  19. Grateful we won't be facing Ray Ray next week.
  20. Yep, and the MLB Braves too (in the NL West). And the Arizona Cardinals used to in the NFC East. Baltimore used to be in the East with us. Indy used to be in the East with us and New England.
  21. In this case, he wouldn't even need to be touched for the play to end. Just take a knee, and by doing so, he gives himself up. The whistle is blown.
  22. But I am wondering how long he must maintain control for it to be considered a football move. The rule I quoted above states: "after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, performs any act common to the game (e.g., tuck the ball away, extend it forward, take an additional step, turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so. " So if he is landing out of bounds after dragging his feet while maintaining total control of the ball, would that be long enough to be considered a football move according to the above? If he is diving out of bounds to catch the ball (while dragging his feet of course), he doesn't have time for extending it, turning upfield, etc. This is why I honestly liked the old rule of simply having to control the ball at the second both feet (or your second foot) hit the ground. This football move stuff is BS.
  23. But I would rather Tampa Bay win, have them get the number one NFC seed, thereby having an easier path to the SB, and then for us to finally beat them then in the SB and lay the ghost of Brady to rest. Brady announces his final retirement and forever remembers it is the Bills who beat him in his last game. D*ldos go flying onto the field.
  24. If it is legal catch (meaning a football move has been made after he catches the ball with possession and both feet in bounds), then it would be spotted where the ball crossed the plane of the sideline, like the Lamar case today. But if the ball takes him out of bounds while making the catch, even if he drags his feet, there is no football move, so it is not a legal catch. Maybe I am wrong again. But this is what I read: https://www.sportingnews.com/us/nfl/news/nfl-catch-rules-2020-explained/1lvsxrgnc6mf31qllioc0ll80k "A player who makes a catch may advance the ball. A forward pass is complete (by the offense) or intercepted (by the defense) in the field of play, at the sideline, or in the end zone if a player, who is inbounds: secures control of the ball in his hands or arms prior to the ball touching the ground; and touches the ground inbounds with both feet or with any part of his body other than his hands; and after (a) and (b) have been fulfilled, performs any act common to the game (e.g., tuck the ball away, extend it forward, take an additional step, turn upfield, or avoid or ward off an opponent), or he maintains control of the ball long enough to do so. Notes: Movement of the ball does not automatically result in loss of control. If a player, who satisfied (a) and (b), but has not satisfied (c), contacts the ground and loses control of the ball, it is an incomplete pass if the ball hits the ground before he regains control, or if he regains control out of bounds" So I would assume a football move is necessary.
