  1. Andy Levitre?? In all seriousness, Billy Shaw and Joe DeLamielleure are the only two Bills offensive linemen in the HOF. Maybe it was Jerry Ostroski, as he is the only one who had "ski" in his name? Or Reggie McKenzie, where the end sounds like "ski"?
  2. Did you tag the right user name above for @Golden*Wheels? I always wondered who that Native American person was in his profile pic. It used to have glowing eyes, at least on the old BBMB. [And thanks for fixing that typo in the title!]
  3. Now I know! Thank you. Even though it was an 80's movie, I had never seen this one, though I had heard the reference "Lighten up Francis" numerous times. Reminds me of a time in college. There was a guy from France whose name was Jean. Another student was making fun of him, and called him the American "Jean". He got angry, and said "personne ne m'appelle Jean!" ("nobody calls me Jean!").
  4. You must not get out much! [just kidding 😄] I thought everyone was familiar with that. It was such a cultural phenomenon back in the 90's (and beyond actually).
  5. Awesome screen names for both of you. I'm a big fan of word chains. For that reason, "ChevyVanMiller" especially always stood out for me when I read your posts. I plan to make a thread here about those later, in the off-season when things die down. I might even reference both of you. My friend has the initials of "SJW". She told me she always hates when she uses that on the web and people think it must be because she is a social justice warrior. Not really! Do you like to ski, or is that just part of the name? Why goat, and why the French definite article? You don't have to tell anyone, but some people could still be left wondering. I had to think for a second about that one. Like does he have four names? Then I realized what the "j" was. There's probably references something funny, but I'm too lazy to look it up. Nice. I'm originally from Dunkirk btw. (Van Miller grew up here, btw). ------- I cannot believe I went through all 12 pages of this thread. Good topic @AlfaBill! I want to know how Jimmy Spagnola, ZeroVoltz, and FilthyBeast got their names. I can imagine why for the last one, actually. Also, I love the name of @That's No Moon. I grew up in the 70's/80's, so the pop culture from that era brings back cool memories.
  6. Oh duh! I only counted 30 teams besides Buffalo but I see you excluded Cleveland, and hence, didn't number them.
  7. No Jacksonville? They should be high on the list, even though they are still new, relatively speaking.
  8. He's under 300 lb. now, but could get back to playing weight fast I suppose: https://www.instagram.com/reel/Cj25xFGgF4b/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link "I have not been under 300lbs since high school. The hard work that I’ve put in with the best fitness trainer in Denton County @neuraletics_llc has pushed me, kept me focused, and guided me on my weight loss journey since day 1! 10. Also three 2023 ESPYS: Best Athlete, Men's Sports; Muhammad Ali Sports Humanitarian Award; and Best NFL Player.
  11. Walter Payton was the only one. He won both in 1977. Peyton Manning won MVP in 2003 and 2004 (and three other years later) and then Man of the Year in 2005. Also, Kurt Warner, Boomer Esaiason, Ken Anderson, and John Elway won both, but in years farther apart. https://www.nfl.com/honors/man-of-the-year/winners https://www.pro-football-reference.com/awards/ap-nfl-mvp-award.htm
  12. Good point from a 49ers fan (about not letting the Rams get him): https://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/niners/196281-cmc-is-a-49er-yes/page35/search=Hoovtrain#post521
  13. LOL! From the 49ers forum: https://www.49erswebzone.com/forum/niners/196281-cmc-is-a-49er-yes/page25/search=Hoovtrain#post374
  14. I was just about to post this! The good news is we also get two thirds when Frazier leaves at the end of this year.

  16. May have been posted already (plus they get a 2024 comp third when Jimmy G. leaves):
  17. I see the Boston area is getting Tampa Bay at Carolina, instead of a better game, like the Giants at Jacksonville, or even Atlanta at Cincy. All because of Tom Brady. They need to let it go. He hasn't played for them for three years now. Why are they so obsessed with him? Like they are living vicariously through him. Even the media there covers Brady ad nauseum. I feel sorry for those people. They need to get a life and focus on their team.
  18. Awesome! Thanks for this info. I am going to incorporate this into the main post.
  19. No need to apologize. I like these interesting tidbits. Your post made me look at both teams' schedules. The funny thing is when I typed in "buffalo schedule 2022", Google showed me the Bills right away. But when i typed in "miami schedule 2022", I got the Hurricanes schedule, lol.
  20. You mean Falcons at Bengals? You must be in the Atlanta area. Anyway, you're luckier than me. I get Green Bay at Washington, Houston at Las Vegas, and KC at SF. Sucks being in Nevada.
  21. I agree with your sentiment. But Atlanta at Cincy, Giants at Jacksonville, Seattle at the Chargers, and Indy and Tennessee should be somewhat decent, for me at least. I would love to see Miami, New England, and the Jets lose too.
