  1. If NE wins, they would be the 7th seed in the AFC.
  2. I didn't know this. I had hoped for Randy Moss, but Wikipedia says: "Moss is the cousin of former NFL wide receivers Santana Moss and Sinorice Moss, [26] and a second cousin of Minnesota Vikings cornerback Patrick Peterson". Still, not bad.
  3. All the pundits a few weeks ago were sayiing Baltimore was a lock for the division title with their easy schedule. Oh, how things have changed. If the Seahawks finish with a better record than the NFC South champion and miss the playoffs, they are going to be pissed. Maybe it is time for eight playoff teams and no bye in each conference, like @Big Turk advocated for. Why should Tampa Bay, or whoever, with a losing record, be allowed in the playoffs? If they lost to New Orleans last week like they should have, they would be 5-8 and Carolina would be in first place in the division at 5-8, LOL.
  4. Only because NFL Network has to air three games in one day. They are all being produced by FOX though.
  5. NFL Network Saturday Games: Indianapolis at Minnesota: Noah Eagle, Nate Burleson, Lindsay Czarniak, and Tom Pelissero Baltimore at Cleveland: Rich Eisen, Kurt Warner, Steve Wyche, and Stacy Dales Miami at Buffalo Kevin Kugler, Mark Sanchez, Laura Okmin, and Peter Schrager Sanchez announces it last Monday on The Herd [at 7:13]: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CBS Sunday: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- FOX Sunday: Dallas at Jacksonville Kevin Burkhardt, Greg Olsen, Erin Andrews, and Tom Rinaldi New England at Las Vegas Kenny Albert, Jonathan Vilma, and Shannon Spake Arizona at Denver Chris Myers, Robert Smith, and Jen Hale Atlanta at New Orleans Adam Amin, Mark Schlereth, and Kristina Pink Philadelphia at Chicago Joe Davis, Daryl Johnston, and Pam Oliver
  6. At last...DirecTV came back on with 1:18 left in the game. [Who was guy who replied to my post earlier in the season that DirecTV was reliable and it is usually the user's fault for positioning the antenna wrong? It goes out here in my gym a few times in a month in the winter here, often for hours and hours. LOL]
  7. It is, haha...but got to get the work in. This takes priority over the game. Thanks for the tip. Might give it a try.
  8. Crap...DirecTV at my gym is knocked off the air due to the storm last night. I was planning on watching the game here.
  9. From last week's Indy at Dallas blowout: I actually thought it was a funny celebration, but I can understand the fine. From the article: "Elliott toured a Salvation Army warehouse this week, presenting a $50,000 check while there. He has asked followers to give $21 donations to match his jersey number. You can give here."
  10. Two updates to the maps: 1. CBS in Las Vegas has switched from KC-DEN to NYJ-BUF. (Also, Charleston and Parkersburg, West Virginia switched from BAL-PIT to CLE-CIN.) The maps went from: to this for one day: to this: 2. Nashville: The Titans are now enforcing a blackout of the FOX early game since CBS is showing the Tennessee game at the same time. (Also, Monroe, Louisiana switched from PHI-NYG to HOU-DAL.) Map went from: to this:
  11. A bit of trivia: that shot to the balls Jean-Claude Van Damme gave to that sumo fighter in Bloodsport inspired Ed Boon (one of the designers of Mortal Kombat) to give Johnny Cage his famous ball breaker. Even the initials of Johnny Cage (JC) were from Jean-Claude Van Damme. Yeah, as The Wiz said above that was Chum Li (not to be further confused with Chumlee of Pawn Stars). Easy to confuse the names though. (I got Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat confused with Dwayne Wayne, the character from the TV sitcom A Different World, lol.) I played a little Street Fighter 2 back in the day, but Mortal Kombat was my game. And the guy who played Frank's friend, Ray Jackson, in Bloodsport was the same actor in Revenge of the Nerds (Donald Gibb). Good to note that, as I had forgotten.
