I love that McBeane places a priority on these high character guys who love the game of football and who are hungry to improve. There are a few videos of Josh working on his deep ball, Diggs working on his speed, and one of Gabe Davis running routes 15 minutes after we drafted him. This is what championship teams are made up of. Makes me real excited for the season!

What impressed me more than his touchdown throw was Brown’s block on Allen’s TD run. It was a thing of beauty. He actually lifted the db off his feet and put him on his back.

Ed Oliver looked good to me. He was making tackles in positions on the field that you wouldn’t expect a DT to be. An athletic freak with a high motor is a great combination! He saved one TD where Henry would have broke away if not for Oliver catching him from behind.

Throw it to Rambo on Jones’ side of the field. A couple doses of Hard Knox and he’ll think twice about going after Josh the next time.

Linemen have to be enforcers for their QB. Like in hockey, you have to make a guy pay for messing with your skill players. Barkley is a nice backup but Allen is our golden goose. The big uglies have to send a message that Allen is untouchable without some consequence. Have to try to protect your QB from the Kikos and Henry Andersons of the league. Love the comradery!

On offense, Dawson Knox had an insanely beautiful block on Singletary’s TD, taking two defenders out of the play. Also added a couple sure handed catches. John Brown showed up again! Was nice to see the team hitting on all cylinders!!
