Feels strange to have a FO with a specific plan

For a Whaley supporter this is a pretty fair take. -

A quip you couldn't address because my point on Whaley was well-proven -
Ryan Fitzpatrick to sign with Miami

Same thing I thought....unless they draft a QB this year, he’s not a good QB if they intend to tank. Guaranteed a few upsets this year and likely a 5 to 7 win season -

If that’s true... who did Whaley never get another shot in the NFL? He’s working in the “island of misfit toys” known as the XFL. Pretty sure there’s a reason for it -
Ran into Joe Bock this morning

Who in the blue hell in Joey Bock? -
I'm not really too familiar with some of the new lineman that the Bills signed this past week, so I looked up their rankings in PFF. Here's how the 2018 group compares to the current linemen for 2019. If the PFF rankings mean anything to you - it appears that the Bills shuffled around the chairs on the deck of the Titanic. Based on the numbers here, there's a marginal improvement at Right Tackle and Center. Everyone else appear to be a substitution of average to below average depth players.... New signees like Waddle, Felciano, and Spencer long are ranked just as low 2018 underperforming class of Vlad and Ryan Groy. Spencer Long was actually worse than Ryan Groy!!! Many say that these PFF rankings are pure BS...let's hope they are right. 2018 Bills Offensive LIne 2019 Bills Offensive Line

This is one of the great fallacies in Bills history. People say “Whaley didn’t get to pick his coaches.” That’s probably a good thing. His rumored choice to replace Doug Marrone was Hugh Jackson, quite possibly one of the most unsuccessful coaches of all time. Also, what did Whaley do to really deserve the right to hire his head coach in 2015? He should have lost his job in 2015 over the Doug Marrone situation. Yet for some reason the Pegulas kept him and Russ. Still, if you are an owner who contemplates firing an employee the last thing you are going to do is to empower him to make one of the most important decisions for your team. Also look at the front staff that hired under Whaley: Jim Monos: out of the NFL. I believe I read he was in sales. Now working for the collegiate bowl Kelvin Fisher: went back to Pittsburgh as a scout. Not exactly the most stellar group of leaders in the football department. Now compare the group he put together vs Beane’s: Brian Gaine (current Texans GM) Malik Boyd (contender for a future GM spot) Dan Morgan (contender for a future GM spot) Joe Schoen (former director of pro personnel) Bottom line....Beane has a vision and some idea how to carry out that plan. Whaley was clueless. I’ll never understand the support he gets from some Bills fans -

Is he more of a Russell Bodine, Jordan Mills or a Ryan Groy? -

Anybody know if Ansah has left town yet???

Beane said he is gone and will continue his FA tour. Doesn’t sound like the Bills are interested. Ziggy.....horrible comic -
It looks like our former CB Ron Darby has not been signed yet. Profootballtalk ranked him the top free agent still available unsigned along with Suh. I don’t think Darby is as good as some Bills fans want to give him credit for, but he’s definitely good enough to start and you would think his demand would be higher. I’m wondering if teams are low-balling him and he’s holding out for a bigger deal but it seems like the longer you’re available the lower the deal becomes. https://www.nbcsports.com/video/ndamukong-suh-ronald-darby-are-top-remaining-nfl-free-agents
