  1. Didn’t they announce the Dennison firing before they hired Daboll last year?
  2. I’m not 100% convinced that Mahomes develops into the same QB he was this season if he was in a different situation. Having Andy Reid and Matt Nagy, Alex Smith and a solid group of WR’s definitely helped.
  3. Anyone have an idea why the Bills have yet to officially announce the terminations of Terry Robisky, Danny Crossman, and Juan Castillo. Castillo himself already talked to the Buffalo News about getting fired. It just strikes me as odd that the team hasn’t realeased a statement more than a week after it hit the media
  4. Where has 26CB been?
  5. The designs on these shirts are terrible. I also knowticed that there wasn’t a Tre Day shirt!?!?!
  6. I agree with a lot of what you said. Here’s something to consider. If Whaley was neutered as GM by the leadership, then why did he sign an extension in 2015 shortly after Rex came on board? I think of a guy like Reggie McKenzie. We all knew he was a powerless GM, and he asked to leave Oakland. I’m not so sure Whaley had as little power as some fans will propose but like you said, we’ll never know
  7. This is a fantastic write up and responses like this are exactly the reason why I start these nostalgia threads. I think this is a pretty fair account of DW as GM. The only this I won’t agree with is your take that he’ll be GM again. I just don’t see it happening, and I don’t see him going to the XFL if he had a realistic chance to work in the NFL soon. But bravo.....great work @corta765
  8. Because we’ll have Bills fans crying “we should have taken Josh Rosen,” the way they say “We should have taken Pat Mahomes.” It’s time to move on
  9. Kill off could very much save the career of Josh arisen. Consider me worried
  10. I tend to agree and while Eric Wood is a nice player, he is nowhere near the player Peters has been for nearly 2 decades. There’s no hindsight here - this was a very bad decision that came back to hurt the Bills for years.
  11. A lot of negativity for this hire. I think it might actually work out. There was way worse choices.
  12. He saying that they are really good. I don’t necessarily think it’s a slight to his line but I can see how it would be interpreted that way
  13. A few weeks ago I had the chance to listen to big Ted Washington on One Bills Drive - this was the show where he kind of criticized the technique of the Bills DL. At the end of the show, they asked Ted about the Hall Of Fame. He said he would love to go in, and if he were ever indicted he’d want to go in as a Bill. Now that would be pretty cool. https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/one-bills-live/id1142057550?mt=2&i=1000426052730 Do you think Ted Washington in an NFL Hall Of Famer? He had had a long career - 16 years Made 4 Pro Bowls Named All-Pro (1) Take a look at his stats. Ted was actually more than just a big fat space eater. For a player of his size, he could take advantage of the attention Bruce, Bryce Paul, and Phil Hansen we’re getting, and actually get a handful of sacks. https://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WashTe01.htm Of course he excelled at taking on double team blocks and owning the LOS. He anchored his body to the field and it was nearly impossible to move him with 2 guys. He also prevented would-be blockers from getting to the second level to take on the LB’s. But, unlike some NTs who just take up space, Ted actually made plays against the run. But the most compelling stat was the difference he made to a his team’s rush defense. I believe I read that nearly every year he started at NT, the rush defense was in the Top 5 in the NFL. So place your vote and share a comment. I vote YEA
  14. I do as well, though I don’t think his best success will ever be as an NFL GM
  15. Yes because he’s screwed up a lot of stuff. He wasn’t in Buffalo for this screw up though
  16. We’re on opposite sides of the Whaley debate so we will never come to a consenus. Did he get a bad deal? Probably but I also think he was just not good. I will say he’s below average as a GM and in the draft. Dont you think there’s a reason he’s not working in the NFL?
  17. Whaley should not be a GM nor should he be choosing draft picks or signing big money free agents. To his credit, he has been able to find bargain basement free agents that could contribute in the system the Bills were using. But he was not a good GM
  18. I know what you mean man. You want the news to come to you, instead of having to go to the news. Here are a few few things you can do: -Download the Radio.com app and enable notifications -Download the NFL app, choose Bills as your team and enable notifications. The other thing you can do is sign up on Twitter. Find a Bills reporter that you like. And click on the bell icon. This will notify you everytime they send a tweet
  19. Agreed 100%. But you also don’t take into account the effect that Dick Jauron had on football decisions. Without a true GM and non-football people making decisions, I am sure that Jauron was leaned on for input on player personnel and drafting
  20. He was...but I think that was because Carpenter kind of dropped off once Rex became HC. He missed quite a few XP’s which drove him crazy
  21. Probably not so good considering, he said he would hire John Harbaugh over himself for HC of the Jets
  22. In the past I’ve likened Rex to the fat middle school bully who lightened up later in life, and is fun to have a beer with. I do generally find Rex to be amusing. Here he just comes off badly putting all of the blame on Parkey for missing a wouldbe game winning FG. Anyone else find it ironic that Rex holds a kicker to a higher level of accountability than he did to himself as coach of the Bills. It wouldn’t surprise me if this is something he orchestrated with producers for effect.
  23. I thought he would only come back for the Browns! He really must have wanted out of AZ.
  24. He was a great basketball center down in Orlando D’haquille O’Neal
