  1. I’ve got it....Elijah Holyfield RB out of Georgia. This kid probably will be available in rounds 3 or 4 and will be an absolute steal for someone. Hopefully the Bills I think he’ll be a Nick Chubb type back.
  2. Chan also has no idea how to find someone to run the defense well. He hired 2 defensive coordinators who were dreadful. In terms of talent, I would disagree there. The Bills had brought in Mario Williams, they had Kyle Williams, Marcel and many of the same players who helped make the Bills defense better in 2013 and 2014. Chan would have gotten nothing out of EJ, considering he was not a very good QB. Yeah a very good guy and I really felt bad for him when he was fired.
  3. How many chances are you going to give Chan to pick a defensive coordinator when you are winning 6 games a year? He already fired one and replaced him with Wannstedt. That’s not necessarily true. Chan had three years in Buffalo and Wannstedt was only his defensive coordinator during his last season. I can agree with - he didn’t come through. He decided to retain George Edwards after one terrible season and that was his undoing.
  4. Patella was a great example of a player that the Bills gave up on way too soon. It actually didn’t happen much around the Super Bowl years. They definitely should have kept him, because Jeff Wright was the weak link of the Bills defense
  5. I completely disagree. They were going nowhere. In three seasons they won 4, 6, and 6 games despite improving the roster. It was time to reset and firing Chan was 100% the right call
  6. I’ve thought about this a lot. First off, Chan was a bad hire to start with. They hired him because he was unemployed after getting fired from Georgia Tech. His pal, Bill Cowher told them they should hire him so they did. Don’t buy the whole “no one else would come to Buffalo narrative.” Maybe it would have been hard to land a Shannahan or Cowher but they easily could have given a shot to an assistant like Perry Fewell who did a decent job coaching after Jauron was fired. Still, to his credit Chan did get an awful lot out of a very limited Bills roster. His spread offense was ahead of its time and it helped put a little known QB like Ryan Fitzpatrick on the map. He also made the best out of low draft picks or UFA’s like Fred Jackson, Stevie Johnson, Scotty Chandler and Donald Jones. But his downfall always has been defense. I might argue loyalty was his biggest weakness. I remember he brought it George Edwards to be his DC and it was a flipping disaster. Chan should have fired Edwards after his first season but he made, perhaps, the biggest mistake of his career and retained him. The next season the Bills defense regressed even worse. He ended up replacing Edwards with Dave Wannstedt who was a very bad replacement. In the end Chan was fired and deservedly so. How can you possibly make the argument to retain him? Still he was a great offensive mind and a very good person. But I don’t buy that he was wronged. His record speaks for itself.
  7. Any relation to Neil?
  8. This is for New Members. Like I said, everyone has their own individual preferences. It seems that calling people out over something so arbitrary is futile.
  9. IMO Obesity is a bit different than CTE. When you have CTE from helmet-to-helmet blows, you have it for life. It doesn’t go away. Same isn’t true for obesity. There’s steps that ex NFL players can take to prevent it and given the salary most should be able to afford some help. Same can’t be said for the average American.
  10. Right and I mean no disrespect either but see things differently. Even with an edited title, you have to go an search through a bunch of pages until you find the article. Let’s say that he changes the title and posts the link on page 10, but the time we see it, the thread could be up to 20 pages. That means we have to go through a number of pages before we find the article about the extension. It doesn’t have to do with laziness and much as it has to do with accessibility and readibility, Thats why I prefer and entirely different thread. It seems like the people who don’t feel the same are constantly voicing their opinion on the issue. I guess we all have our own individual preferences.
  11. I don’t really love this idea since I don’t know a whole lot about the player. I am certain these projections will change hundreds of times. This time last year, many predicted Josh Allen going #1 overall
  12. Absolutely heart breaking news. I wish the best for this two
  13. It’s ok... we probably would never seen it if he kept this on the other thread. It would’ve gotten lost in the 104 replies
  14. Go back and watch the game vs. Miami he wasn’t so good
  15. Super Bowl baby!!!!!! Sirles didn’t play so when he was given a chance to play. If he makes the team, he’ll need to improve from last season. His versatility only comes into play with competent performances.
  16. The premise here is kind of silly considering that Gronk doesn’t seem to have much of a connection to Buffalo these days. He graduated from high school in Pittsburgh and now lives near Foxborough. He doesn’t do much for the Buffalo community either. This is Would Ben like saying “What is Tom Brady wanted to play his last year in Buffalo?”
  17. Hes an ok signing. Probably not the difference maker some fans though. Is he overpaid? Probably but that’s what happens with free agents. One of the reason why Beane is being cautious
  18. Likely his last year in the NFL. 1 year deal is perfect!
  19. I know people like this. I think he meant he’s root for NYY because they were in the AL like Boston. So he’d support them because they represented the American League
  20. I don’t think they would take Cordy back. It has nothing to do about being a “process guy.” I get the impression they don’t have confidence in his availability. He seems to have been hampered by injuries the past few years
  21. I’m telling you - he was a difference maker! Just look at the rankings of the defenses he played in vs. the run. They were always among the best and he played for a lot of teams! And did so carrying about 340 lbs. He said in an interview that his hips are feeling it. I can’t imagine how they wouldn’t be. Ditto for his knees and back.
  22. I just found this forum. Starting my own diet and looking to lose 30-40 pounds or so. So far I’ve lost 6 since January 1.
