Definitely not a disqualifying 40 for Hockenson. I would expect it to hurt his stock SOME.
-
I was beginning to like the idea of Fant in the second, but that is out of the question now. I like Hock better, but only if we trade back. Irv Smith could very well be a third rounder at this point. Can't find Hock's 40 time anywhere. Every google search turns up Fant's 4.5. Also interested to know what Tyre Brady from Marshall ran or will run. Anyone have that info on Hock and Brady?

I expected this as soon as the Cards hired Kingsbury. Was fully convinced once Murray was measured. It will be fascinating to see what happens with Rosen(if true). At the end of the NFL regular season, it didn't appear as though there would be any top 10 QB's. As it stands now, two are virtual locks. Overall, a very good thing for the Bills at 9.

How can you possibly have a SECOND team that you root for?

Location has nothing to do with it. I've lived in Detroit, Philly, Seattle, and Vegas. It's really none of my concern who someone chooses to root for. Just never really respected the fanhood of someone who jumps on bandwaggons. Doesn't mean I don't respect the individual. -

I will say this; if you get a little TOO into your second team and passively follow the Bills during the down times, it'll be a bad look when you come back around if/when the Bills have success. In the grand scheme of things, do you. However, there is something unique about those of us who remain loyal through thick and thin. -

Good call. Banya was very good on that show too. -

No. The glaring exception is the former Wolverine who now wears number 12 for NE. -
That's a penalty in and of itself as far as I'm concerned. Why in the world would it be beneficial to the Bills to just hand cash over to the NFLPA as opposed to bringing in talent? Sign them to short term deals. Just don't waste cap space.

Phil Hartman was second only to Kelsey Grammer in terms of perfect comedic sitcom timing. Neither needed to do dumbed down bathroom nonsense to be funny. They have/had that subtle comedy about them. Hartman was definitely more than adequate! If you're a big fan of News Radio, you caught that. Such an underrated show. -

That's how I felt until the Cavs got a ring. Screw that city. It's OUR turn! -
This is an excellent thread. The Bills almost have to be big players in free agency this year. You don't get a prize for stashing cap space. As a matter of fact, if they aren't big players in FA'cy this year, they'll run the risk of forfeiting cash to the league if I understand it correctly.

Same. With one glaring exception. -
I don't think they have the luxury of developing a QB at this point. If they like Rosen, they should go for it. Brady is much closer to the finish line than he was in 2014. I don't believe Rosen is a franchise QB, but the Pats would likely be willing to give up #32 if they think he's legit. The EP they run in NE is a perfect offense for Rosen IF there is one.

Which Ex Bills HC Would You Hire Again?

Jim Schwartz. -
The idea was to limit a big return by kicking it in a manner that would allow the defense to quickly tackle the returner. Just a perfect cosmic ****storm the way the play went down. As has been mentioned, the biggest issue was leaving 16 seconds on the clock. They couldn't afford to be TOO safe on the kick because a Titans FG wins the game. Christie didn't have a big leg and even a full kick wouldn't necessarily have reached the EZ. Also, they probably wouldn't have taken a TB regardless. I'm sick now.

It's one or the other. Either a smokescreen or a "warning" shot to the fans that they could move on to Murray. We'll find out soon enough.
-
Upon further review, you are indeed correct. The first site I researched had him listed as OG but that was an NFL projection. Still very curious to see what kind of strength numbers Williams puts up. I'm very reluctant to take a pure tactician without any particularly great physical traits in the top 10. I'd be much more comfortable with the pick if we happen to trade down, but that's a whole lot of variables. When I watch Martin, I see a mauler. I didn't see that even at the collegiate level from J Will.
-
Martin put up 225 29 times and played OG at ND. We'll see how Williams does in that particular drill. I just don't see top 10 talent in Williams. Martin was taken with the 16th pick for the sake of reference.
-
I'm just not nearly as enamored with Williams as some others. He's not particularly athletic or strong. He's an excellent tactician and should be a first round pick, but NOT in the top 10. What the offensive line really seemed to be missing was maulers. I'd prefer Taylor to Williams if we go that route. Very interested to see how both test.
-
With Murray measuring in at 5'10 and better than expected hand size, I expect him to be taken ahead of Haskins. If I had to bet, I would bet he goes number 1 to AZ and Kingsbury moves Rosen.
-
I know it's revisionist history, but I wish they'd have signed Hunt. Not interested in this particular fella. Fully believe you can find a comparable if not better player late in the draft. You might even find a stud if you're lucky. I'd rather gamble than take a guy I know is the definition of average.

Zay's stats are INCREDIBLY misleading. Tyrod/JA had to throw the ball to someone and Jones was the beneficiary of an atrocious WR group. He doesn't beat press coverage. He's EASILY smothered on go routes. He has not demonstrated the ability to routinely catch the football. He will never be able to win a go route. If he can't figure out how to beat PC and get his confidence up WRT catching the ball, he really doesn't have a place in the league.
