Although Drew Sander's athleticism is intriguing, I'll have to go with Campbell for one big reason. The consensus is that Campbell far and away has superior instincts. People sometimes talk about experience and instincts like they are always directly related. Example: Tremaine had off the charts size/ athleticism combo, but lacked instincts. We all closely watched and saw it. We all heard over and over how young he was and how this would improve with experience. I never saw it. I saw a robot, which the good QBs could easily manipulate. I live in Florida, and youth football down here is as big as it is in Texas, or at least close, in my opinion. My son competed and lost to the Pop Warner National Champions, 2 years in a row. I'll never forgot when my son and the offense came off the field and said....dad, their MLB is calling out every play before it happens. I know this is Pop Warner, but it has evolved a ton over the last 30 plus years. My son's team was a spread passing offense. WR ended up being an NBA lotto pick, 7th overall, for context. This is just to show that instincts start to show and develop at a very young age. If we are still questioning it going into the draft, it likely will remain a question like it did with Tremaine. I say all this to say, that when you got it (instincts), you got it. But I'm open for any examples that show otherwise. LB and RB are 2 of the positions, that you typically will see who they are right away. It doesn't take a RB 3-4 years, to see how good he's going to be in the NFL, and I feel the same way about LB.

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?

I think you're referring to Bryant Johnson from the Cardinals. He was no better than Zay Jones. Goes to show, what a long way we've come. -
Suitable Edmunds Replacements in the draft
Allen2Moulds replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
I want the instinctive guy, as the new QB of our defense. Whoever that might be. Tremaine sorely lacked that, and it's a big reason he never made splash plays. Basically, give me another Milano -
Bobby Wagner - the solution to the Edmunds problem

I'm in the Wagner or bist camp, but what insight can you give about Tranquill? Please tell me has better instincts than Tremaine. -
I don't like it either, but if there's a silver lining, it's that it just got that much harder to keep Tee Higgins.

Unfortunately I can't say we've improved. We signed another meh guard, and now have a huge hole at MLB. I'm starting to lose a little bit of confidence with Beane in the draft. We are now faced with the following holes. Beane needs to hit the draft out of the park, or we will start to regress. Top draft needs 1. MLB 2. WR2, with WR1 upside to replace Diggs in a few years. 3. Interior lineman (upgrade G position with potential to replace Mitch in 2-3 years) 4. Safety (Hyde coming back from major injury, and Poyat battled injury all year. They are both getting up there in age) 5. DT to replace Oliver, as this is his last year as a Bill. Not expecting us to sign Wagner, but it would be a huge get. As it stands now, we go into the draft with a desperate need. Hard to stick with BPA. If we do go LB early, let's please go for a guy with elite instincts over elite athleticism.

He's working on an Aaron Donald trade. In all seriousness, hopefully he's ok.

I only know of the Guard an RB, but love the overall positions targeted. -
Frazier: The hard FACTS on why many of us want a change.

Well said. Couldn't agree more will all of this. -

The 2 teams in the SB, were 1st and 2nd in Sacks. Sacks matter....a lot. That's also why we went 9-7 under Schwartz, despite no QB. Give Allen that defense and we win the SB. Regular season rankings mean nothing, once you reach the playoffs. I don't know what to tell you, if you don't agree there. -
PSA: This is Sean McDermott's defense, not Leslie Frazier's
Allen2Moulds replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
We can all argue about who's defense this is, or how great they've ranked, but there's one thing that can't be debated. Outside of the Baltimore game, they've stunk in the playoffs. The other thing that sticks out to me, and bothers me even more is what the Bengals players were saying, leading up to the reg season matchup. I know they talk a lot of smack, and ignore most of it. But a few of their players on offense, basically called our defense simple and predictable, and that there wasn't much to it. The next 4.5 Quarters, they simply proved it. They played like they knew exactly what was coming each time. We were grossly out coached on both sides of the ball. -
I love what McDermott has done, bit this is as far as he could go. We were severely outclassed, and it was so hard to watch.

Wow…Sammy Watkins statement on Lamar 😬😳🥶🤦🏼♂️
Allen2Moulds replied to Alphadawg7's topic in The Stadium Wall
Haha...Sammy ....same guy that thought the earth was flat. If it was Ray Lewis it would be a different story. -
I think/hope he comes back next week. We need all hands on deck against the Bengals. We we're not going to beat the Bengals with a 3rd string safety, no Taron Johnson and Tre at 70-80%. No one expects Tre too be back at 100% this season, but maybe when we meet the Bengals again (3 weeks from last time), Tre will be at 75-85%. Plus Taron, and hopefully Hyde. Also can't forget Benford I feel a lot better today than I did yesterday.
