  1. I think when it's 3rd or 4th and a foot, he needs to be under center. Defenses have to alot the proper resources to defend, which typically create great opportunities for both play action and bootlegs. When we go into shotgun, we completely eliminate it.
  2. Both can be true. Josh Allen's worst game yet, and Dorsey is a bad OC.
  3. The thing with Dorsey, is everything seems so forced. Nothing is ever easy, defenders are constantly sitting down in the spots that the receivers are going. We need to fire Dorsey and give Brady a shot. He can't be worse than Dorsey.
  4. This is an Epic failure by the organization. Spend a 1st round pick on a CB that excels in press man, when we're predominantly a zone team. Also, every team mixes in zone and man. They haven't been able to tweak the defense a bit, to use his skill set? Multiple times, I saw Elam last year stick to Tyreek like glue. You mean to tell me, that guy is not good enough to be one of the 46? Crazy!
  5. He'll get his too, but you have to believe that Tee Higgins is as good as gone after this year.
  6. He had everything but the instincts.
  7. Lmao...that was great! And accurate
  8. In order for sustained success, you have to stagger the talent. Ideally, if Gabe has a monster year and plays like a 1, you pay and keep him. As his cap number kicks in, in 2025, you should be drafting another WR to replace the aging Diggs, who at that point should be your number 2. Kind of like Atlanta did, drafting Julio to replace Roddy White. Same with CB1/CB2. Elam is suppose to supplant Tre, in 2 to 3 years, as Tre starts to fade, and Elam hits his prime. But of course if we miss, we are using more draft capital on the same positions again.
  9. When talking about Mahommes, I think we all quickly forget about Andy Reid. More often than not his primary read is open, and often times wide open. Andy Reid lead a Donovan McNabb team with a bunch of nobody's at WR, to a bunch of NFCG. When comparing Allen to Mahommes, we also have to factor this in. If they traded places, I'm more confident that Allen would be every bit as good if not better. Mahommes here, would still be upper level, but probably would regress at least a little.
  10. I generally agree with almost everything you write, but have to disagree a little bit here, not the whole post. Just this. 1. NE almost always had a great Oline in front of Brady. Obviously a passing team with Brady at the helm, but the min you paid too much attention to Brady, they would rush for over 200 yards. They seemed to do that to us, on at least a few occasions. For as much credit that Brady gets, they were also very dominant/physical in the trenches on both sides. Also can't forget they had Gronk, and always seemed to have elite slot options. But yes, generally speaking, Brady could get it done with less. 2. Rodgers on the other hand, always had good to great weapons in the passing game, and a good to above average running game. GB olines, maybe not elite, but certainly a level or 2 above ours, especially when it comes to run blocking. I think a lot of Allen's running comes from the short comings of the oline. Teams do not respect our run game and constantly dare us to run, which puts Allen at a big disadvantage, when teams can sell out vs. the pass. He's taken advantage of this, and don't believe this has anything to do with his lack of ability as a passer, but I would never say that Allen is at the level of Manning, Brady, or even Rodgers, when it comes to processing. I still put him above Burrow, and in that top tier.
  11. Great post. I think McD is really hard on 1st year players, in order to set the tone early. I don't have a problem with that. The thing that sticks out to me, is how badly Beane has drafted in the 2nd round, but hopefully that changes with O'Cyrus this year. He's done much better in just about every other round.
  12. Unless you're personally connected to Beane, or someone else in that war room, we'll never know. I'd like to focus more on Elam's potential. He has elite physical traits, but is a bit behind on experience, especially playing zone. After listening to Beane say....I wish I could say that he doesn't work his tail off (weird comment), I assumed that it had to be an intelligence issue. But it seems like he is fairly intelligent, and also has pretty good instincts. The only thing missing is experience. In the video he says he only started playing 6 years ago (8th grade). That gives me a lot of hope, that there is a ton of room to grow, and that he's more likely to achieve it, given his work ethic. McDermott and staff need to give this kid whatever amount of rope he needs.
  13. Valid. But we also have to give him credit for not doubling down on his mistakes.
  14. I think it's crazy for anyone to complain about us adding a 9-10 sack a year player to our defense. We have the QB. Top 3 needs this year. 1. Fix the interior of the oline 2. Add a receiving weapon 3. Add pass rush depth We attacked these exact things. I can bash Beane about his 2nd round picks, but have to commend this off-season approach.
  15. I like this visual a lot. As much as Gabe disappointed last year, we still need him, and his deep threat ability. That being said, we would need Diggs to lineup in the slot, to get our 11 best guys on the field.
  16. This certainly is criminal. It's been painfully obvious the last 2 years, that our oline is holding us back. Outside of the Bengals 2 years ago, you don't see teams with average to below average lines in the Superbowl. 1. QB 1b. Oline 2. Pass rush
  17. I think him being undersized is greatly exaggerated. 250 is not the norm, it's the exception. Average linebackers are around 230-235. He was 229.
  18. I love it! This is what Bills Mafia is about, we are bat *hit crazy about our Bills.
  19. Lol....I love this movie and do the same.
  20. Agreed. My ideal draft would be Cyrus in the 1st, and than somehow end up with Campbell and Mingo with the next 2 picks. Would take some maneuvering.
  21. MINGO! I totally get Eric Mould vibes from this dude. Size, weight, speed and hands. Just listened to Greg Cossell, and he loves this dude. Said that the 2 alpha's in this class are Flowers and Mingo. Was also very complementary of Tillman.
  22. I think we need to find a way to deal our 2nd round pick, or just skip altogether. We seem to get lost. Zay Jones Cody Ford Epenesa Basham
  23. I just think Von falls in that category (diff dude). I also noticed the production, but feel that he just turns it on in big games, like the Opener and against KC. I had zero doubts about his impact, when needed. I felt like our season was over when he went down.
