  1. Could be a sneaky good signing. All about this type of risk/reward. You do enough of these, your bound to connect on 1 or 2 of them.
  2. Keep him in bubble wrap, until we play KC. Also bring back Jordon Phillips and do the same.
  3. What's not to like? Sure, he has a long injury history. If he didn't, he'd be worth 3X as much.
  4. He basically said the offense changed/adjusted, and he failed to adjust with it. The sooner he understands it's a week to week league, the better he'll be. I thought it was an open honest answer. He didn't bash the organization or the offense, he just showed that he's still green.
  5. Sneaky good signing. Excels vs. Man
  6. Let me clarify. I meant an elite vertical threat. He's also had as much as 1300yds, and double digit TDs twice, with I would say average QB play. With Allen, you could almost bank on career highs. Overall,I don't disagree with you, but I would like to see us go all in on Allen. Why not surpass what we did last year.
  7. My only beef in all this, is that DK could've been had for a reasonable price. Those that say he's not worth 30 million, are not familiar with the market. DK and Tee Higgins have a similar skill set. I would say Tee Higgins is better than DK in the short to Intermediate game, but both excel as vertical threats. Difference there. Is that DK is elite. 30M is right on par for a top 15WR. If he was in that 1st tier, we would be talking about a number closer to 40M, which is what most expect Jamar Chase to get. We still desperately like difference makers. Had we sent Seattle our 2nd. And sweetened the deal just a tad, we could've been left with our sole focus on the defense for the draft. I hope Beane has something big in the works. And that I'm eating crow tomorrow.
  8. Exactly how I feel. Groot gives T Edmund vibes. Ohh...he's young, he's going to bring out this year, and that year never comes. Now at an inflated salary. For those that say he could've gotten just as much, or even more on the open market. I don't dispute this, but dumb teams overpay all the time.
  9. I love this extension. I know he's a bit undersized that leads to durability issues. That being said. A 4 year deal is short enough to get out of it, if we need to get out of it. I will also say that LBs, are only as good as the lines they play behind. I remember Ray Lewis looking absolutely washed, after the Ravens lost Sam Adam's and Tony Siragusa. Once they drafted Ngata, he was back to his all-time great self. Bernard is an extremely cerebral/instinctive player. Next step, beef up the dline.
  10. I don't think they value him that high. If they did, they wouldn't of drafted Mitchell last year. They kind of have a log jam at WR, and have yet to extend him.
  11. Don't get me wrong, I would love FK, but not if it hinders our chance to land Garrett. i wonder if the Colts would trade us Alec Pierce. Tall. Fast and young. He had over 800yds last year, with bad QB play. The Colts are already paying Pittman, and drafted AD Mitchell last year. Pierce is in the last year of his rookie deal. Same here. This has been one of Beane's biggest failures. Dline is the biggest. Followed by this. This is the time of year that you fantasize about these dream scenarios. For me, it's a wink wink deal with Berry for a post June 1st trade. We keep all our picks from this year, and spend a pick for DK, draff a big beefy DT, and a CB. Than June 1st, trade for Garrett.

  13. As much as I love DK, and have always thought him to be the exact type of weapon that Josh needs, the price seems a little steep in my opinion. We still desperately need to rebuild our Dline. If I'm the Bills, I'm calling Indy about Alec Pierce. He's going into the last year of his rookie deal, and is a tall field stretcher, who's potential hasn't been met. They also already paid Pittman, have Downs in the slot, and drafted AD Mitchell last year. Maybe we can get Pierce for like a 3rd, and maybe a little extra, or conditional second if he hits certain numbers.
  14. This is where I am. The KC game is hard to shake. Especially when you consider that they have a below average line. That was the one spot where we were suppose to have a clear advantage. It seems like he was on the ground, everything the camera was on him. He was awful.
  15. Maybe I'm being a little harsh, but I was expecting his size to be more of a factor in the playoffs. He had 3 catches on 8 targets for 22yds, in 3 playoff games. He also did very little to shake the narrative, that he struggles to separate. I do think he has the potential to be a solid number 2, but that is not what we were looking for. From what I saw, it seems like we overdrafted him. Played more like a 3rd rounder in my opinion. I don't see him as a difference maker. Listen to both Beane and McDermotts presser from yesterday. They were also disappointed in Keon.
  16. I agree with all of this. I believe what has hurt us the most, and the primary reason we lack difference makers, is Beane's draft approach, particularly in the 1st round. As much as he says it's BPA, it sure doesn't seem that way. Every year he uses the 1st round pick, on our biggest need for that year. As a result, we are missing out on superior talent at other positions. Last year was a very good DB class, and it fell favorably for teams that went that route. I believe Quinyon Mitchell, was the first defensive player taken, all the way at pick 22. As a rookie, already looks like a top 5 corner. Beane always says that if a guy sticks out on their board, they will move up to try and grab him. I only bring that up, because now, not only do we still have a hole at WR, because Coleman seems like he was a big miss, but we also have a hole at DB. Furthermore, because we missed, we had to spend a 3rd round mid-season for Cooper, due to our poor drafting. I'm extremely disappointed and have lost a lot of confidence in Beane's drafting ability, at least with our early picks. He really needs to stop forcing the need picks and truly go BPA. It now has unfortunately reached the point, where we have more holes than we should, or a team full of average guys.
  17. The one thing that sticks out to me with Beane's drafts is this. Beane claims that early in the draft, he goes BPA, and that later in the draft, is more when they go position by position. But if you look at his draft history, it actually suggests the opposite. He seems to always force the issue in the 1st with attacking an area of need vs. Truly going bpa. I think this is why he does better in 2-7, vs. The first round.
  18. Agreed they have players all over, but the driving force of their entire defense, is Jalen Carter. He was regarded as the best player in the draft, but due to off field questions, he slipped to I believe to 9. We had the same opportunity when we drafted Oliver, over a guy like DT Simmons. Last year it was Cooper Dejean, who was mocked over and over to the Bills. We passed on him for Coleman, and thought there was a chance we would still land him if we were aggressive, and traded back into the 2nd round, but again the Eagles cashed in. As good as Beane is, there is a major gap between Beane and Howie Roseman. Honestly could be a big gap between Roseman and the rest of the league.
  19. Our defense needs a face-lift. We still lack speed and athleticism, and size/strength in our front 7. I think we all saw the potential our defense has with an elite pass rusher (von pre acl), and believe we have to go all out to land a premier pass rusher. We need to start treating it like a QB. If we don't have this, nothing else matters. It's a lot easier to plug any other hole on defense through FA, or even day 2/3 of the draft. The dline is the final thing to fix, to finally get over the hump. It took way too long to build an oline good enough to win the SB. Now it's time to do the same with the dline. Let's not wait another 5 years, or it'll be over for us.
  20. Let me clarify. Bills Mafia knows how great Moulds was, but I don't think the rest of the NFL does. When I talk to friends of other teams, unless you closely follow the Dolphins, most don't even know who he was, or kind of heard of him. I always end with....he still owns most receiving yds in a single playoff game all-time.
  21. Trade for premier pass rusher, and it's not even close. I don't have much faith in us drafting an impact DE or DT. That being said, I feel like this is the order of importance: -DE1 -Boundary WR with elite speed -Run stuffing DT/Daquon Jones replacement -CB2 with CB1 upside to replace Douglas
  22. Fair enough. Don't get me started on that 3rd and 5 screen. At least to Cooper. I would have preferred a quick slant, or something else, where we are on the move. Same thing with the last play. Spags has a long history of being ultra aggressive in key moments. We had no answers for that blitz. I don't like that Shakir lined up 11 yards behind the line of scrimmage, basically taking our best weapon out the play. Amari was running 1yd drag route, and 2rd receiver was running a 3yd drag. No slants on the play. No matter who we add in the offseason, we have to get better at situational football. Different teams/circumstances, but at the end of the day, 2 years in a row when the game is on the line. The Chiefs defense have put their foot on our neck on the last drive of the game, the way they do against everyone else.
  23. Tell that to the 4th and 5 play that left Josh and our entire line confused. KC blitz 2 guys I believe, and 3 got through. Online whiffed on 2 of them. Not to say we don't need better Jimmy and Joe's, but I believe you are over simplifying it. If that's the case, the bust rate for QBs, would be far less than what it is. Within a single formation, tons of wrinkles can be added. That being said, there's nothing that excites me about this hire.
  24. I don't track any specific books, but all-over social media, they're saying that the odds flipped back into Allen's favor. That says Vegas knows.
