  1. I look at the play, and ask if it's within the "spirit" of football. One guy holds onto the ball, and then literally 1,500 pounds of humanity forms a scrum and pushes him forward a yard or 2. Does that really qualify as "football?" I don't think the game should look like that. I'd make it illegal.
  2. Having seen professional player contracts, I disagree. Could easily be a "good conduct" clause in there; not sure what a typical NFL K looks like in 2023.
  3. Yes, that's entirely possible; how that voiding would impact the salary cap, I don't know. I'm sure it's quite complicated. We have to see how this plays out. Bills could have a very useful way to get out from his HUGE MISTAKE OF A CONTRACT with this, and that could be huge going forward with our pending cap crisis.
  4. That would explain the one sided calls in our game vs. Philly, and I'm not saying that as a Bills fan. We got some calls, they got calls, we suffered from bad calls, they suffered, but it broke way more in Philly's favor.
  5. This is not what the OP is talking about. I am sure there are a few "veterans of the game" floating around that Pegula has a relationship with and would lean on for input from time to time, off the record. He has a lot of access to lots of famous/professional/ex-NFL people. Who those specific individuals are, God only knows. When things were going lousy with the Sabres a LONG time ago, he was schmoozing with Pat LaFontaine and some sort of formal gathering and that led to Terry hiring him as GM b/c he thought Patty had a good idea/plan for turning the team around, and Pegula TRUSTED Patty as the guy to "fix things". I guess that was based on....I don't know....Patty's career as a great SABRE PLAYER. You can see why no one wants this guy to pick a new coach once McFingerpointer gets fired.
  6. Sophia Loren is one of prettiest women of all time! One of Napoli's finest!
  7. I recall reading this here regarding Dawson Knox. The difference is Kincaid has a shot at pulling it off.
  8. Beating KC but losing on the road in LA is almost guaranteed IMO.
  9. That's just not true. He may well be back, but asserting that the chance of him being canned is ZERO is just not accurate. Wait to see how the season plays out. A couple of losses to KC and Dallas followed by a team quit with nothing to play for and things could get very ugly very quickly. (As one example).
  10. "We continue to be impressed with Von's recovery, and think he may be back to full strength a week or two prior to his contact termination."
  11. 2 Ohio State guys in the top 5 WRs available in the draft? That's amazing.
  12. No athletes, in any sport, on any team, have ever "tanked" in this sense. Tanking does mean "players try to lose." It means management assembles a team maybe including coaching that, trying its best every game, is not very likely to be successful.
  13. Dude, how many posts are you going to make saying this is an old thread? Let it go man! Let it go.
  14. What? Are you trying to make some sort of political statement here? I have idea what you are trying to say. BTW, we don't study ethics or philosophy at St. Joe's. I did in undergrad though! 😘
  15. Yet another indictment on coaching. No player on the team should interact with the fans, and they should all know that because the coach has made it clear.
  16. He's "Cleaned house" many times in the past! Lots of mistakes to make go away! That poster is talking about the current Bills regime.
  17. Well, they have a fortune invested in that guy and a lot riding on the success of his K. They have a major conflict of interest with that. Not unusual in sports.
  18. Time to find the guy who knows how to take a good team and make it a championship team.
  19. And yet how many people here, since FOREVER, pissed on the suggestion to move on from a coordinator, especially in season.
  20. His drafting has been terrible. The 2 huge Ks to Knox and Miller are both proving to be big failures that will cripple this team going forward from a cap perspective. He's done a lot of good as well; I always liked him and supported him, but his record is far from excellent.
  21. If works on his foot speed and gets a sprinting coach, it might be possible for him to throw the ball high enough that he can run down field and catch the ball as well. It's about all that is left that he can do which is he not doing. I suppose we could also have him play both ways, like in the old days. Get him out there on D!
  22. I know this guy is available.
  23. Maybe his spirit is broken; he knows this team isn't going anywhere without lots of changes.
  24. He played a MONSTER of a game tonight. And now that he is allowed to run again, remember how dominant he is running? The guy is easily in the top 3 best offensive weapons in the entire NFL.... And we are about to miss the playoffs.
