Bills 24 Chiefs 20 That would be my dream come true; I don't get the feeling that's anything like how it's going to go though. Mahomes has played in many games bigger than this one, not at home. They're called Super Bowls. He's also played in plenty of big games on the road with hostile noise; it's not like he's in his second year. He'll be fine. It's gonna be lower scoring than people think, and it's gonna be a dogfight.

My immediate reaction was to vote "NO" and I totally agree with you. That is a special Bills tradition reserved for TOM BRADY, not even the Patriots. Considering Brady is now retired, I suspect we have since the last of the Billdo, and that's as the Good Lord intended.

SF and Baltimore look pretty dominant to me, but they are both beatable too. I am straight up scared of San Fran; for some reason, I can't get fully scared of Baltimore. I think it's because we just played them not that long ago in Buffalo in the playoffs and won without too much fuss. Of course, that game has no bearing on the one hopefully coming up between us.

This was a good game; close and went to the wire, pretty much. The other game was good too, for about the first half. Houston gave it a solid shot, but then Baltimore separated in the second half. Hoping for a good close early game today--and for the Bills, all I want is a win. IF EVER there was a day to say "a win is a win and I don't care how we get it" it is TODAY. Just win the damned thing! Be ugly if you must, just win!

This is the biggest game in Josh's and McDermott's lives, and the most important game played in that stadium in 30 years. It's IMMENSE. I'm getting seriously nervous, which until now I hadn't been. And it's still 8 hours till game time.

Having said that, Brady seems to have fixed the problems created by Dorsey, and he hasn't even had time to instill HIS offense. He needs an offseason for that; so if he stays or goes, I'm OK.

Today's game is the biggest of Josh Allen's and Sean McDermott's lives. It is the most important game played in that stadium in 30 years. I'm getting seriously nervous.

Baltimore is the consistent class of the AFC this year, and are pretty much on all cylinders right now. That's why. Baltimore is NOW; Houston is about the future.

The only game I'm super confident of is Detroit getting KILLED by Green Bay. SF, Baltimore, TB all advance... And my gut is leaning Buffalo wins too. Will be pulling hard for a Houston upset however; I like the idea of playing THEM at HOME more than going on the road to Baltimore, though I do think we can win in Baltimore. That's for another thread though!

When you say "cut the fat" with Von, what do you mean exactly? His K is horrific, untradeable, and we are stuck with it due to cap issues. I am praying he ends up in trouble with the law in Texas; I don't know what's going on with that entire thing these days...if we can find a way to invalidate his K, that would be fantastic. Otherwise, he'll be around more. It's part of why that was a HUGE mistake from Beane. I like him a lot overall, but he knows how to really F things up now and again too. I guess no one is perfect. Going out and getting Rasul Douglas now looks like the stuff of genius. You win some and lose some.

Nah, if we can get past KC, we can win on the road in Baltimore, assuming we have to. Who knows, Houston is capable of pulling off a huge upset. I'll be glued to the TV like you can't imagine Saturday afternoon. A more likely outcome would be beating KC, winning in Baltimore, and getting our face ripped off by San Fran in the big dance.

For me this is a total non-starter. He'll do fine. The game won't come down to this issue, at all. As you point out, his chemistry holding for Bass is way more important than whatever he nets on punts.

How big is this game? I would suggest it's the biggest game played in Orchard Park since whatever big game was last played at home when the Bills were going to Super Bowls in the early '90s. Biggest game since 1994? That's 30 years ago!

Last year when we took Kincaid with such a high draft pick I said the team would move on from Knox, and my post got slammed with people disagreeing and thumbs downing, etc. Now comments like yours are increasingly common and don't seem to hit any friction. We will definitely move on from Knox when we can. His K is not tradable.

I don't think we'll have to worry about this for much longer. I say the league outlaws it this offseason. To many insiders don't like the look of it.

Well actually, he is. He's also the number one TD scorer in the entire league. He's a ton of things. What he is not is consistent.

There will be a lot talk all week about it being Mahomes' first road playoff game. At his age and experience level, that is a complete non-issue IMO. It doesn't mean a thing, other than crowd noise can always disrupt offensive communication on a given play, and that will be to our favor, a little.

Apparently Bernard had x-rays on his ankle at the stadium. Probably having a better look tonight/tomorrow. We'll know his status tomorrow.

He's a free agent and available. We can and might sign him tomorrow. We can go after any player not under K right now; we can also sign any off another team's practice squad as long as his team is out of playoffs.
