  1. It’s not all I said. I explicitly stated that it’s in the context of him being a great quarterback. It’s an area he could improve was the entire point.
  2. It’s the entire point of the FIRST SECTION of the original post.
  3. the offense struggled. The offense struggled for many reasons. One of those was the running game stunk. One of the reasons the running game stunk is because Jacksonville was stuffing the box and Allen didn’t change the play or the direction of the run. They ran directly into Jacksonville’s strength.
  4. Well, it was the FIRST SECTION of the ORIGINAL POST…..
  5. You conveniently left out the first part of the review. How’s your reading comprehension? -He said the run game failures were mostly a case of running the ball against bad looks. A lot of times the Jaguars had 8 or even 9 men in the box and we chose to run it anyways. The 2nd and 1 pitch to Cook that we lost like 5 yards on, he said we had 2 OL blocking 3 defenders on that side. Unsurprisingly the unblocked defender made an easy tackle for a loss. I don't know if Allen is supposed to audible out of those looks or what, but Dorsey or Allen have to a better job of punishing defenses for heavy boxes. Most everything in this is incorrect.
  6. The point I was making about salary is that he IS the boss.
  7. I agree. The argument I’m making is nuanced or maybe not as obvious as the failures you’ve pointed out. I expect people to disagree with me as they see ANY criticism of josh as sacrilegious.
  8. Excuse me, the quarterback has the authority and mandate to put the team in a different play and protection if they see fit. Josh Allen is the highest paid player and makes more than the entire coaching staff combined. SOME of what happened yesterday is Josh’s fault. sorry if that hurts your feelings. Do you you know what makes you ignorant?
  9. I think it’s fair to be critical of josh when the offense struggles because he is in control of it and the one that impacts it the most. It’s his job to make it work, fair or not. That includes the running game.
  10. I disagree, his recognition and anticipation are not great. flaw might be the wrong word. Weakness is what I meant
  11. Josh is a great but flawed quarterback. All his physical tools are ideal. He has, and still can (a lot of the time), rely heavily on these tools. He hasn’t had to be a student of the game beyond what is normal (for starting nfl quarterbacks). If he wants to go to the next level he has to develop this aspect of his game. He has to make his changeup as good as his fastball if you will. These shortcomings are also on coaching. The coordinator and the qb are a package. These criticisms are in the context of josh already being a great nfl quarterback.
  12. We must’ve had waiver priority
  13. Mccaffery isn’t going to make it through the whole season, he takes too many shots.
  14. It’s the NFL so the margins are thin to begin with, and even thinner when you’re talking about the nuanced differences between the best of the best and the teams one tier below. the niners are on the top tier and the bills are one below but the bills are capable of beating anyone if they play their “A” game. the niners are more likely to play their A game but that doesn’t make them unbeatable.
  15. Bills probably win against the niners 3 of 10 times. Niners probably blow out the bills 3 of 10 and win by <10 4 of 10.
  16. I’m curious what % of the plays buffalo calls are unique for the team they are playing.
  17. Sure they do, used to be more popular. See Randall Cunningham
  18. Josh still struggles with putting some loft/touch on a variety of throws. One example was the first touchdown. He rifled the ball to digs when he had the entire back of the endzone. he doesn’t throw the most receiver-friendly ball
  19. I think he can play. He certainly looks capable, needs time.
  20. Some weird cross between Dilfer and Brady. It’s not like we’re on Sunday night football anytime soon
  21. Part of the issue is a large percentage of people use the term quarterback interchangeably with thrower. A comprehensive evaluation of a quarterback is way more complex than that. so, is he a golden armed god? No. Is he a good quarterback? Yes
  22. Mccafferey isn’t going to survive the whole season (healthy)
  23. Go back to the start of this conversation and you’ll see that was the original point
  24. You think that’s a positive
