Not sure what hill was doing running his mouth this week. Has that ever worked out? Not sure what is gained by doing that sort of thing.

My biggest issue with mahomes is that he never pays. Meaning he never/rarely takes a big hit.

I’m not sure what actual impact it has but the crowd noise to start the game is probably a factor. I would think putting your offense/their defense out to start the game gives them some advantage. Of course if you can drive right down the field, regardless, that would be great. not sure it matters.

What “evidence” is there to even look at? Not to mention all the lawyer arguments that could go into how such data is collected etc. the argument I’m making is that fatigue is a factor. It isn’t always obvious, like someone laying on the ground, it can be more subtle like doing things slightly out of form. This is when some injuries occur. there’s a reason there’s normally 5+ days between games. Just because they can do it once a year on half the rest doesn’t mean they should. I like the idea of Thursday night games, I’m not sure I’d miss them.

I think the Thursday night games need to go. I enjoy the idea of them but often times the exhaustion of the teams is palpable. Modern NFL is setting players up for failure by demanding so much in regards to travel and game frequency. a certain amount of injuries is unavoidable but the NFL could do a better job of controlling what they can. I don’t know if it’s contrived but it seems like the nfl has made decisions from purely a marketing standpoint. Protect the quarterback the rest of the players are all cogs.

On Covino and Rich they said McDaniels showed up dressed as Davis for Halloween. Apparently that didn’t sit well after the Monday night loss (among other things) and was the last straw.

Of the 6 AFC contenders I think the two teams out of the east are currently the weakest, mostly due to injuries. any of the 6 teams could win the AFC. The playoffs are going to be insane. 4 NFC contenders, I still see as a 2 horse race but clearly things have gone sideways in San Francisco. Dallas is a pretender and Detroit is too inconsistent.
