  1. “You can’t overpay for greatness but you get in trouble when you overpay for good” - michael lombardi on pat mcafee show he was talking about second contracts for players. When roster building it’s okay to overpay a josh Allen but not okay to overpay for someone like tee Higgins when you really want Ja’marr chase. I think Brandon beane has a history of overpaying (draft capital and salary cap dollars) for good and it’s a big part of the problem. we need to rotate a few of the good player type guys we’ve designated as core guys, simply by resigning them, off the roster and get some truly great players in here. I would trade any 6 players (not named josh Allen) on second+ contracts for 1 or 2 great players.
  2. It’s all part of the process. Rigid adherence to the process.
  3. Day off after.
  4. 16 game regular season, 8 team playoff, a week off after the regular season; everyone gets a bye. Move the superbowl to Saturday
  5. I’m all for less games not more
  6. This team has gone as far as it can with McDermott. The salary cap and current contracts are going to restrict our ability to get talent. they can play musical chairs all they want but the bed is already made, It didn’t work. i.e. McDermott has already had the most talent on a roster he’s ever going to have and didn’t get it done. this isn’t to say McDermott is a bad coach, just that SOMETHING has to change because we are just spinning our wheels at this point.
  7. I’ve wanted Garrett since he nearly murdered mason Rudolph with his own helmet.
  8. Got a cool streak of opponents scoring touchdowns on their opening drive in the playoffs going too.
  9. I’m all for using every draft pick, either trading or drafting, on defense. The defense stunk this year (in the context of playoff quality defenses).
  10. If we had any other afc playoff team defense (and defensive coordinator) we win that game.
  11. I think we’re ready to eat that
  12. The eagles and the chiefs both punted twice today.
  13. Josh played the exact type of season McDermott wanted and the end result was exactly the same.
  14. Conveniently leave Oliver and epenesa off the list.
  15. I can’t begin to explain the amount of resources that have been used on defensive linemen since McDermott has been here.
  16. The only issue I have with McDermott is his defense DOES NOT WORK (especially in the playoffs). It does not dictate anything; it holds on for dear life. It is completely dependent on turnovers. The Houston defense did better vs the chiefs.
  17. I’m all for leaning into the ball control/power running style offense. It worked all season. Zero issues with the offense. I’d like to see the offseason spent on revamping the entire defense (coach/philosophy, personnel). Every resource should be allocated to this endeavor.
  18. Im with you. I think the hope was for McDermott to lead a dynasty. That obviously isn’t going to happen. I believe our best chance (to win one Super Bowl) is to see if we can’t catch fire with a new coach. Be unpredictable for a year. I get the approach McDermott is taking and it’s admirable but it. Isn’t. Working.
  19. I have a fear and I’m going to express it in the hopes it jinxes it into not happening. My fear is a game in which KC is in total control but not by a wide margin on the scoreboard. the bills are panicking and floundering trying to play catch-up the whole game. The kind of game that feels like slow suffocating.
  20. Cmon guys don’t fight…. 🍿
  21. That’s news to me. I was under the impression that if a runner lowers their head it is.
