  1. The play quality is about the same
  2. Not enough penalties
  3. If the packers can’t get 7 here they’re in trouble
  4. Looks like a preseason crowd
  5. The smoke and mirrors in these international game broadcasts is hilarious 🤣. Constantly sweetening the sound.
  6. I don’t think he’s earned a huge extension yet, was hoping he played his way into one this year. Now I hope he out performs the contract. This really could be another awful extension for beane.
  7. your quarterback accounting for 88% of your offense is a problem if you lose or don’t score enough. this is all part of a bigger conversation about how you define what a quarterback is. the reality is the quarterback is dependent on the system they're in (play calling and design) as much as their attributes; it’s a marriage. People like to imagine what the 49ers would look like with josh Allen at quarterback. Imagining 600 yards of offense and 8 touchdowns every game. this wouldn’t happen because the marriage of system and quarterback in San Francisco is already operating at a super high level. (You only get the ball so many times a game) The current best marriage in the nfl is mahomes and Reid. They’re winning by eliminating mistakes on offense and playing great defense. The Brady/Belichick method.
  8. I appreciate the fandom, but this is not in touch with reality. besides josh we don’t have any player in the discussion of best at their position. (Kincaid has a chance) there’s a few borderline pro-bowlers, but zero potential hall of famers.
  9. Sounds like he nearly…..left….his heart…in San Francisco.
  10. This is like that old joke where someone talks about how much money Michael Jordan makes and what one could do with that much money and how much it breaks down to in dollars per second etc. The punchline is something like, bill gates makes 100 times that. nvidia netted more money last quarter than the NFL grossed all of last year.
  11. Really struggling to find a kick returner
  12. It’s a weaker roster this year, not a surprise
  13. Another step closer to never having to read the name Andy Isabella again 🤞
  14. Is this Charlie Kelly from Philadelphia?
  15. The tertiary initial cuts are going to be bananas
  16. What you have is owners that are willing to sign wr’s to huge contacts because they make it up in jersey sales. It’s the opposite of money-ball approach. It ultimately isn't sustainable if you want to win superbowls (imo).
  17. Think about the rabbits bass
  18. I think if von doesn’t get hurt we might be polishing a ring at this point. Crazy how much was riding on that one acquisition. At the end of this year (or sooner) we need to be done with Von, Bass, Knox. And maybe Milano even though he’s my favorite.
  19. He really just needs to focus on kicking it harder.
  20. Every question mark has to be answered positively. Two or three good players need to become unstoppable.
  21. We aren’t (haven’t been in a few years) a team on the rise or a finished product. We are currently a quarterback and a bunch of question marks. I am also disinterested but expect to be more interested three Sundays from now.
  22. I think part of what happens to these guys is so many people give them information that they can’t process it in a meaningful way and the circuits just overload. they’re good enough to go through the motions and collect a paycheck but not good enough to excel. They get paid MILLIONS of dollars in their early twenties before they are successful at the job they are being paid to do. What motivates them to put it all together? Geno smith probably has some insight on this. One potential positive from college players being paid is it might make it easier to spot the Tom Brady types and the Jamarcus Russell types.
  23. The most remarkable thing about Lamar (and josh for that matter) is he hasn’t suffered a career altering injury yet. He’s a great football player but doesn’t have a golden arm and relies on his legs. This type of player has been seen before in the nfl but usually doesn’t have a long shelf life.
  24. anything not bolted down is a potential weapon. Josh Allen has made a lot of money for a lot of people.
