I would say that anyone that thinks josh needs a vertical threat hasn’t watched josh throw a vertical ball. It’s not his strength. I would go as far as to say he sucks at it. If the argument is that it opens things up underneath, okay. He isn’t (ever) going to complete long passes because he has little ability to do it. He throws a line-drive ball. Little to no touch. It’s not a strength for him.

The chiefs are a buzz-saw right now. Bills defense hasn’t given up too much since halftime against the falcons. We got home field, they’re on a short week, hard to predict. I’m guessing the under comes into play. chiefs-27 bills-19

You can’t overpay a great player, you can only overpay a good player. Beane has at least 6 overpaid on the current roster (as far as ROI). I’m not saying it’s an easy job, but he has made his bed. This team needs to reach a Superbowl or he is a failure.

My vibe is KC is a buzz saw right now. I want the bills to win, but I’m not sure we can beat them. We have the advantage in that they’re on a short week and traveling. I expect a loss, so any win will be awesome. What I want to see is an effective, ball control, rushing game with a dominant defensive effort. I’m not sure this team, in its current state, can handle these guys, but I don’t think it’s impossible the bills can surpass them by the end of the season. I’d like to see a competitive effort, no injuries, and a good game.

This defense needs to build off Sunday. Need a few things to go our way as far as players developing/injuries and we could become something special. This was the first game I saw something from the defense that looked like what I hoped they might become in the preseason. love the power rushing offense, just want the defense to be a legit scary force come playoffs.

KC, Indy and New England are complete teams. Pitt, SD, Den, are a step below. I like your rankings and thinking. The bills are 4th best in the AFC, possibly the most dangerous 🤷‍♂️

Bosa was dominate. Helped there was a statuesque, indecisive, quarterback on the other team. Could’ve been our coverage (hopefully) that made it seem that way.

These are two different conversations

As good as josh is, he doesn’t throw a receiver friendly ball. He puts almost no loft on the ball, nor does he often throw a receiver open. His biggest impact is made by picking up first downs with his legs and fitting balls into tight spaces. all time great athlete and leader but flawed pure passer.

Long term, glad it was left arm. need to find a way to get some of these constantly injured guys off the payroll. Sorry if that’s cold.

McDermott took over the defensive play calling. a little early but we look a little bit like the eagles last year (at least in this game) If Walker stays healthy, he will wear a C on his chest for the bills in the future

You take things away, you force the offense to do something. Same as it’s always been.

I think defenses get gassed during Thursday games, which helps
