Training Camp Practice Monday, August 9 (10 am)
patzen replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Buffalo's currently under a heat advisory with a heat index expected of 95 to 100 so I would guess it was legitimately hot this morning there. But Miami in September will still be a challenge without a doubt. -
Josh Allen: Contract extended through 2028

Beane is a legend and this deal will look like an absolute steal when the salary cap explodes in 2023. I'm so freakin' happy it's almost unbelievable. What a great day for every Bills fan. -
Hall of Fame Game: Steelers vs Cowboys 8pm Fox

Which is why I was confused they took a RB round 1 because I thought it was pretty clear their OL was the problem last year but I guess they can do whatever they want -

I know the steelers run blocking hasn't been great but I really thought Najee Harris would look better running the ball than he has. Hopefully that's a good sign for week one. -
Training Camp practice 8/3: Pads come on

I am so close to letting myself be truly excited for this D-line this year. A couple more good camp days or a good preseason showing and I'll be there. If Beane turns the D-line from a weakness to a strength in one offseason then he really is a wizard. -
Who will the Bills miss most this season?

I went with Nsekhe because if there's an injury early in the season to one of our tackles, Brown probably won't be ready to step in. I liked Roberts but I thought pretty highly of our ST blocking unit and I think as long as our new returner/returners don't have fumblitis we should be good to go back there. -
New NFL-NFLPA Covid protocols

I'm not sure why Pelissero is making it seem like a big deal when literally no games got cancelled last year and cases were much higher than they are now. The odds of games getting cancelled are very low tbh. -
I got my eye on Rachad Wildgoose. I think he's gonna turn some heads this camp and preseason and make this roster. Just a gut feeling.

Nice to see his throw to Yeldon being in those highlights. It rarely gets brought up because we were in the middle of getting trounced but that was unreal. I'm not sure there's another QB in the league who would even attempt that much less complete it.
-
It seems ridiculous that he would hold out until you realize that his teammate Byron Jones is making more money than him and Jones was complete doodoo last year and Howard led the league in interceptions. The main weakness of their GM Grier has been free agent signings and I think their signing of Byron Jones is really biting them in the butt.

So this guy would want Dak over Josh because Dak has worse arm talent and worse arm talent means you take less risks? What did I even just listen to?

Peter King predicts either Bucs-Bills, Bucs-cowboys opener
patzen replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would shock me if it wasn't Dallas. Dak's coming back, Dallas might actually be good, and it's America's team. They'll hype the heck out of that. Also, a Dallas-Bucs game becomes worthless in the middle of the season if Dallas actually doesn't end up being good. Whereas both the Bills and Bucs will almost definitely be very good teams this year so the NFL can confidently put that game in the middle to late part of the schedule and still expect a highly anticipated matchup. -
I really liked the Rex Ryan hire.

For me I look at Chris Grier's track record in the first round for them and they're nearly as likely to bust on a pick as they are to hit on one so I like the fact that they're not picking a can't miss prospect at 3 and like our chances of them missing on at least half of their first rounders in the next couple of years. But if Tua works out for them then this trade is good for them pretty much no matter what.

He was part of the international pathway program so he's still learning. Maybe he's done growing and what he showed last year is what we'll get, but also we could get more.
-
Potentially huge signing that will probably go under the radar. This dude has massive potential and even if he doesn't reach it this season he should still upgrade our pass rush. Love this move.

Allen's throw to Brown against the Raiders where he puts it 25 yards on a rope to the perfect spot past two defenders. Allen had already been carving up defenses but that was the moment I knew without a doubt that Allen was elite. I wasn't old enough to remember the 90's Bills so I'll always cherish the play I realized we finally had a top-tier quarterback.

Sanders played a full season in 2019, he was just on two different teams.
