I don't think her game score predictions are really any better or worse than many of the other so-called experts. The use of math models rely on past performances to predict the future. The weakness of this approach exists because coaches like Bellicheat vary their game plans significantly from week to week.

Bills Draft Capital Analysis
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to OCinBuffalo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Later round picks have always been a crap shoot. Although I believe they will use some of the current picks to move around, I don't expect the Bills to drastically reduce the total number of players drafted. I expect them to select 5 to 7 players. I don't get too upset over the players that the team cuts. I trust that the coaches that see these players everyday at practice know who the best performers and that they will keep the best players. Too many fans get emotionally attached to a player and think the sky is falling if their guy gets the axe. Every year there seems to be some surprising veteran cuts and some surprising late round draft pick stars. It's one of the things that makes the NFL so fascinating. Good thread and good analysis. -
Bills 2019 Draft Hat
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you are going to create some bogus reason for fans to buy a hat, it better not nauseate the prospective buyer on the way to the cash register. The design of this hat is way overdone. -
What about: Larry Csonka Floyd Little LeRoy Kelly Jim Taylor OJ Anderson

QB Wonderlic Scores 2018
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to AtlBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
What it means is that he has greater capacity to process what he sees and is more capable to interpret it correctly, thus making the right decision. Smarter people have the correct answer before less smart people. Give me a smart QB anytime. None of this has anything to do with the ability to throw the ball with the right velocity or accuracy. Coaching, athletic ability, and practice has to do the job with that. Unfortunately all the coaching in the world can't overcome stupidity ( Vince Young proved that for all of us.). All of the test scores with the exception of one, fall in a range that teams consider to be good for an NFL QB. -
When you watched McD's defense in Carolina, they generated a lot of pressure on the pocket from the d-tackles, especially from K. Short. I think he places a lot of value in that. The Bills were not able to generate that pressure consistently in 2018. With Kyle Williams gone, they have even less talent now. I have a feeling that the Bills will try to add that skill set to the defense with pick #9. There are several outstanding d-tackles in this draft.

Sounds like Dunlap and Cook don't have anything good or significant to say about their own team and city. When your two best players go to extreme measures to get away, it is a good indication that the team is circling the drain. It would seem that these clowns would be better served to talk about fixing the mess that is their Steeler organization. I wonder how they'll handle the situation when the Browns crush them twice this season and win the division. They'll probably revert to attacks on the other so-called mistake by the lake. Personally, I can't wait to see it all unfold. GO BILLS!

LB - Starters/Depth - Is more needed?

Exactly right! -
It has occurred to me over the last few days that Beane has taken a very strategic approach to the FA's that he has signed. None of them just scream "camp fodder" to me. They all seem to address an obvious need. Under previous regimes, we were signing players that didn't address an obvious need and that most of us knew would not make the final 53 or the practice squad. Am I just drinking the Kool-Aid or has there really been a change?

With our small sample size of Beane's work in the draft, it will all come down to the specific scenario in play as his pick approaches. If the players that are left on the board don't have a value that is equivalent to or greater than the number of the pick he is about to make, he will probably try to trade down. If a he sees a player falling well below his projected value, I believe that he will try to trade up. If this happens to correspond to a position of need, I think he will react sooner and more decisively to move up more draft slots. Given the fact that we don't know how the various players are graded on his board and we don't know what the other teams will do, I can't profess to know what Beane will do. If some team approaches him with a desire to acquire one of his picks and it doesn't conflict with his strategy or the his ability to acquire a desired player, I am confident that he will get the best price for the trade. I can't wait to see it all play out. Fans develop attachments to potential draft picks, good GM's like Beane don't.
