Try Google.......I try to do that before I embarrass myself. The last name is a solid clue.

Competition has come and gone. I doubt the owners fear that at all. The actions of some bigots working in an organization won't provide the legal impetus to destroy that organization. If it would, no large organization in any walk of life would be able to survive. There are cases of this kind of horrible behavior in many places. What the owners fear is having their fans walk away from the game, sponsors dropping their business with the NFL, and TV companies not renewing future contracts. If I see this happening, I'll be surprised.

Which realistic trade options should the Bills target?
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
The Bills aren't scoring 30+ points per game because the o-line is total garbage. Granted there are blown assignments but in many instances there are other factors. Allen continues to hold the ball too long when there are open receivers on shorter routes. Predictable play calls based on personnel in the game, formations, down and distance, and the OC's strong biases. All of these things help opposing defenses and contribute to struggles along the o-line. Moving the pocket, draws and screens can keep a defense off balance. I'm slightly concerned about LG but not to a degree that I expect Beane to do anything crazy to acquire a player that may not provide a real improvement. -
This is awesome - congrats to Chris Spielman

Well deserved for a great player and an even better human being. He dealt with some tragedy in his life but never lost his way. He was always one of my favorites. He always seemed to be good for at least one epic hit in every game. -
James Lofton, Ted Washington, Kenny Davis, Paup, or London Fletcher were all good additions at the time. I have to say that Steve Tasker was the best one of all.

Nobody with any football wisdom is going to try to cover Hill one on one for an entire game. There may be an occasion where a DC will gamble and do it when running a blitz package. For the most part we will see, a straight zone, a match-up zone, man coverage with a safety in zone over the top, or a straight up double team man coverage. McD will keep it changing throughout the game. If they are going to give Hill extra coverage using two defenders, White may be used to shutdown either Kelce or the second wide receiver by himself. We have already seen White on Hill one on one and it ended poorly. McD won't head down that road again IMHO. I agree with you that Buffalo has a good chance to win the game. I believe that it has more to do with how bad the KC defense is and less about how good their offence can be.

The data at face value gives the o-line a poor performance evaluation. One significant contributing factor is the length of time that Josh Allen holds the ball. Another factor is the type of routes that are being run. The Bills don't run a quick pass offense and the teams that do don't give up as many sacks and pressures, thus making their o-line stats look much better. Could the Buffalo o-line play better? Certainly they can but it is not the dire catastrophe that the "sky is falling crowd" purports it to be. A simple one dimensional review of statistics rarely gives the total story. Until the Bills establish a legitimate running game, defenses will continue to disregard run defense and will strictly focus on rushing the passer. This puts the o-line at a distinct disadvantage.

Ravens are snakebit
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Could be a landing spot for Murray after being released by the Saints. Peters is also a big loss. I don't like to see players get hut but anything that thins out the playoff contenders in the AFC is okay with me. -
Is the Jags game still in London?
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to HerdMenatlity1's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Actually, it should be never mention "Bills", "Jags", "London" and "E. J." together again. -
It really doesn't mean much to me as a raw number unless the data is normalized to take into consideration the strength of each individual opponent. Some people use power rankings or current winning percentage of the opponents. Some gamblers will even use both. Most people just use the old eyeball test of watching the games. This allows people to discount the unusual plays that swing a game ( ie hail Murray).

Picking up a guy from a team that is a raging dumpster fire doesn't scream "great idea to me ." The Lions have had a bad o-line for a couple of years and this guy has been part of it. If he is a decent player, he'll be claimed by one of the o-line needy teams like Carolina or Cincinnati. I'd pass on this one.

DeShaun Watson will be inactive every game??
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Everyone, including the NFL are held back until the criminal investigation is concluded. If the criminal investigation concludes there is no crime, the NFL can do their investigation and take action. Until the extent of the NFL action is known, no team is going to give Houston a legitimate trade offer. As far as Houston is concerned now, they aren't going to take the PR hit for putting an accused sex offender on the field. In addition, they aren't going to take the risk of getting him hurt and damaging his future trade value. It just seems to me that the criminal investigation is taking longer than it should. There is either evidence or there isn't. Without evidence, it comes down to the word of one side versus the other. Can the alleged victims prove their case beyond reasonable doubt? I'm guessing that if they could, this would already have been headed to a grand jury. I'm just glad that the Bills are distant spectators in all of this. -
Pats trade Sony Michel to Rams
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Michel's main issues have been availability and pass protection. Based on his college career, there were high expectations for him playing behind a really good o-line. It just never worked out. He's probably just going to be the experienced backup in LA (insurance in case Henderson gets hurt). -
Too early to look at punters?
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In a word....no -
As I recall, Mitch is on a one year deal. If that is accurate, no one will trade for him without some type of extension nor will they offer much in trade value. Right now, there are no QB desperate teams willing to make any ridiculous trades. Holding out any hope of this happening is a fools errand.

Real high dollar negotiations are normally handled within a very small group. There will be people on the fringes (that want to be seen as important and involved but really aren't) that leak things to the media or others to fortify their own self importance. Most of this leaked information is mainly speculation and mostly wrong. When you combine this with the spin purposely spread by the two sides, you have a picture that is not remotely representative of the real negotiations. I have personally been involved in many large dollar contract negotiations and have seen this pattern of misinformation play out over and over. We should all just chill and let things run their course. There are too many constituents that want and need the Bills to remain in New York. I believe that it will play out that way in the end.

Preseason TNF: Patriots at Eagles 7:30 NFLN
Florida Bills Fanatic replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eagles are such a dumpster fire that this game doesn't really say much about the condition of the Cheatriots. I guess that the media will be falling all over themselves to tell all of us that the Cheaters are back on track for another SB run. -
10 years at $10M per year says that he'll be there until Mark Davis can afford to pay two coaches. It's going to be a while. I'm always glad to see another AFC team in the crapper. Gruden, Mayock, and Davis may be the only three humans on the planet capable of making a sports franchise in Las Vegas fail. Time will tell if they pull it off.
