Two words ... Grip master. I have been beating the drum for this guy to work on his fumbling since year one. I guess the analytics say it isnt an issue? Come on we used to have a drill in highschool where you would have to protect the football all day everyday while everyone around you tries to knock it out of your hands. There has to be something this brain trust can do.

The 2004 bills were also up 24-3 in the 4th quarter when they ran this play. And mr Daboll if you are going to run this play, run it the way the bills did by motioning a big bodied person NOT McKenzie. That play was flat out poorly designed and executed.

Honestly, just here to help this thread get to 40 pages. Naw, jokin aside, I like the idea of having a player like Ertz was in his prime, who wouldn't? A dominant TE is something that makes every team better. Will he be that kind of player this year? Who knows? But the facts are if he is on the field defenses will have to be accountable for him, he will be a another redzone target, and it'll be even more fun playing with the Bills in Madden. Will the Bills get him? Who knows. Will he be great if the Bills get him? Who knows. But we do know this, these are exciting times being a Bills Fan, and I look forward to many more.

I agree with this thought. He COULD fill in the hole that Lee Smith leaving left us with. He is a big blocker that was at one time a TE. If the coaching staff wants to get him on the field I could see him being a blocking TE (essentially a 6th lineman). He does have that fearlessness in him, did u see his leap through the table? His athleticism is through the roof and he is so big I think defenses might forget he is a TE, potentially leaving him open. I understand the tackle eligible stuff but if they just make him a TE they wouldnt have to announce his eligibility every time he is on the field.

Aldon Smith from the Cowboys wont be returning. They informed him they wouldn't be re-signing him. If the BILLS could get him on a low risk high reward type contract id be open to the idea of letting him battle it out at DE for time.
