Josh Allen Bashers, what's your solution?
CincyBillsFan replied to ChicagoRic's topic in The Stadium Wall
Damn I just thought you messed up the link. Your trolling is actually first rate my comprehension and recognition needs a little work. Do you mean the 50+ yard pass that Shakir dropped? Or the shot to Diggs in the end zone that missed by a couple of inches? -

Bingo. Why don't these people just come out and say that we need to unload Allen while his value is high as his "regression" is becoming a problem. And incredibly they're pointing us to Nick Wright's comments in support of this insane position. I wish they could ask famous NFL analyst Nick Wright where the Bills should send Allen. My guess is Wright would be all for shipping Allen off to the NFC. Down here in Cincinnati Joe Burrow had a great response to the nonsense of "Super Bowl windows". It was along the lines that as long as he's the QB the Bengals are in their SB window. Well the exact same thing applies to Josh Allen in Buffalo. I have no patience for those Bills fans that argue otherwise. -

I heard what Wright has to say. I watch and listen to the guy all the time. He's entertaining but his football knowledge is that of a rabid fan. Anything Wright says about Allen and the Bills is filtered through his hatred of all things that threaten the Chiefs & Mahomes. It would be like a New England fan telling other Patriot fans to watch a video about Tom Brady or Bill Belichick put out by a knowledgeable Bills fan. -

There is nothing Nick Wright can say about Allen and the Bills that is "spot on". The man uses character assassination as a comedy gimmick. His bias against ANYONE that threatens the Chiefs & Mahomes reign as "kings of the NFL" will become a target for this guys vitriol. For Bills fans, Wright is like the serpent who whispered to Eve to eat that apple. Wright packages lies and half truths to paint the picture he wants you to see. -

If you are a fan of a QB and team that threatens the supremacy of KC & Mahomes you can not take ANYTHING that Wright says about your team & QB seriously. Wright will lie by omission, exaggerate and misrepresent the stats to try to destroy your team and character assassinate your QB. He has admitted this on a number of occasions. As a football fan Wright's ONLY value is as an entertainer. He's funny as hell. But to take anything he throws out as a serious analysis of the NFL is foolish. Don't get mad at the clown enjoy his comedy show. And remember as long as Allen and the Bills are Wright's number one targets know that he considers them the biggest threats to his beloved Chiefs & Mahomes. -

What regression? Seriously how could anyone watch that game and declare Allen has regressed? I actually like Nick Wright's Sirius radio show. He's funny on it. But the guy is clearly pushing buttons in an effort to stoke controversy and generate clicks. Some times Wright will admit to what he's doing like he did a couple of months ago when he said how he is against anyone and any team that threatens the Chiefs and Mahomes position as best in the NFL. His constant attacks on Allen are a sign of respect because he knows the Bills & Allen are a major threat to the Chiefs/Mahommes reign. He can't abide any other team or player getting accolades over his beloved Mahomes & Chiefs. If you pay attention you will notice that he's pretty snarky about Joe Burrow and the Bengals. Gee I wonder why? And don't look now but he's starting to crap all over Trevor Lawrence. He calls him the "the prince that was promised". Oh and he takes shots at Herbert all the time to. -

It's like these people want Allen to do what Cousins did yesterday. With the game on the line in the playoffs and on 4th and 8 he threw a 5 yard pass. -

Is it the play calling? A lot of times they run the ball on 1st down and loose yardage. I would say we already know the answer and that at a minimum it's worked out just as well and probably better. Even if we lose on Sunday the Bills will have gone 14 - 4 and losing in the divisional round. Last year they went 13 - 7 losing in the divisional round. And all the offensive metrics are pretty much the same between the two seasons. -

Not only did they just join the team a month ago but both of them were in street clothes before coming here. What's amazing is that Allen has thrown TD passes to both of them! -

Next season of course! -
That's not what people are saying. In several games Allen has been reckless and made poor throws that resulted in INT's. The Jets & Vikings games come to mind. But yesterday neither of the INT's were poor throws. The first INT was a play that EVERY Bill's receiver should know how to execute - when the pocket breaks down and Allen is on the move head for the end zone. Brown seemed lost on that play. But I don't fault him as the bigger problem is why are the Bills using WR's who two months ago was out of the game? The 2nd INT was a good throw that bounced off Beasley's hand/chest into the hands of a Dolphin player. On top of that there should have been a flag for interference on that play. Now we all know that stuff like this happens in the NFL and it's just a bad break. But in NO WAY was that pass reckless or poorly thrown.

Both the games today were 3rd time interdivional games which are often very tight contests no matter any talent discrepancies between the teams. Both games today also were very weird with a lot of odd bounces of the ball. And while stats tell only a part of the story I think the numbers for these games were enlightening: First Downs Bengals 18 Ravens 25 Bills 25 Dolphins 16 Total Yards Bengals 234 Ravens 364 Bills 423 Dolphins 234 The Bills played a better game with the exception of the turnovers. If Buffalo turns the ball over against Cincinnati as often as they did today against Miami they will probably lose the game. On the other hand if they can take better care of the ball I like the Bills chances to beat the Bengals.

Allen is 4 - 3 in the playoffs. He's already proven he can win these games. And IMO Allen "won" the KC divisional playoff game last season. There was NOTHING more Allen could have done in the KC game then lead the Bills to two late 4th quarter TD's, including the apparent game winner with 13 seconds left. I do agree that McD and the coaching staff have something to prove on the playoff front. They blew the KC playoff game and the TO's today were head scratchers.

The only time Allen was sloppy on "ball security" was the fumble. The pass to Beasley that was intercepted should have been caught or had a flag thrown for pass interference. The deep shot to Brown that was picked saw Smoke completely confused about what he should do on a scramble drill. Romo was clear that the pick was on the receiver there.

Yep. The Bengals are definitely beatable.

Whose also nursing multiple injuries.

Burrow is very good but he definitely isn't better then Allen. Burrow's biggest advantage over Allen is that he has an offensive minded head coach who has invested enormously in surrounding Burrow with the best collection of skill players in the NFL.
