  1. I think there is a very good chance the Bills would have gotten into long FG range - 45 to 50 yards.
  2. Yep, just ask Detroit. And while I hate them with all my heart I'm also beginning to understand how the Chiefs approach these games. We are becoming more and more like the Chiefs whch isn't a bad thing.
  3. Bingo. If you flip the stats and the game outcome their take on Allen would be 100% different then the one evolving around Jackson. Allen makes a lot of these so called "experts" look like fools and nobody wants to be made to look the fool. I mean after the 2018 draft Allen had the nerve to become an elite QB after a lot of these folks claimed he would be a bust; then they claimed that sure he was good but he was also flawed with a reckless streak that would forever keep him from winning the big games, and now they're busy rewriting the conventional wisdom around QB TO's in big games. It wears you out after a while.
  4. Well if Allen and the Bills are the ones turning the ball over the QB sucks and is to careless with the ball but I'm sensing a reworking of that narrative after tonight's game. Remember a lot of NFL media folks probably have voted Jackson the MVP over Allen and they're going to CYA big time. After all, a lot of these clowns predicted Allen would never be a starting QB in the NFL, then they said that Allen was to careless with the ball so would never win the big games and now - well like I said it will be interesting to see the old narrative twisted into a pretzel.
  5. In tonight's game it was Henry that kept the Ravens in the game and stole back momentum in the 3rd quarter. Jackson had a great late 4th quarter drive but this game was a microcosm of the Ravens season - when Henry was bottled up in the 1st half the Bills dominated and were up 21 - 10. When Henry started trucking people in the 2nd half Jackson suddenly also played better. The two are connected.
  6. You could say the same things about Houston beating KC badly:
  7. I mean did the Bills snap the ball with more then 3 seconds on the play clock the entire 2nd half?
  8. It worked out in the end and that's all that matters. And to be fair had Andrews caught that pass for the 2 pt conversion the Bills had 1 minute & 33 seconds and 2 TO's left to go get the game winning FG.
  9. Calm down I'm not throwing out a conspiracy theory against McD. The Bills won so McD's decision to take the foot off the offensive accelerator worked out. But you can't ignore how differently the Bills offense played in the 2nd half. It was obviously by design. I fully expect that next week, weather permitting, McD will take the governor off the offense and have Brady call a much more aggressive game.
  10. The alternative explanation would be that Brady on his own went ultra conservative. I don't buy it. It makes perfect sense that the Head Coach would tell the Offensive coordinator how he wanted the 2nd half to play out.
  11. Brady has a great game plan for the 1st half. The only thing that prevented the Bills from scoring on every possession was the bad holding call by the ref. In the 2nd half Brady was following instructions from McD.
  12. And it worked, barely, this time. But next week weather permitting we need to see the aggressive offense that shredded the Rams/Lions.
  13. It wasn't Allen's worst passing performance of the year. He threw the ball very well they just decided not to throw the ball more then 5 yards past the LOS in the 2nd half. And if Andrews had converted the 2 pt conversion the Bills would have had 1 minute 33 seconds with 2 TO's to go down and kick the winning FG. And Bass looked great tonight.
  14. Look at the playoff games this weekend. TO's were big and determined the outcome of 3 of the 4 games: Detroit = -5 Rams = -2 Ravens = -3
  15. What matters is that in the end the Bills won. At the same time if Brady & McD do it again the Bills will lose and all hell is going to break out.
  16. I suspect and hope that weather conditions permitting the Bills offense next week will look completely different. It will be much more aggressive. In the first half the Bills O bullied the Ravens and that end of the half drive for a TD was a masterpiece. In the 2nd half they chose to go conservative. They won't do that against the Chiefs.
  17. No they are not. McD made a decision in the 2nd half to play very conservatively on offense and in the end the Bills won. What we will never know is whether or not had the Bills kept the pedal to the metal they would have blown the Ravens out or committed a couple of TO's that lost them the game.
  18. In fact the opposite is true - teams are getting QB's that have been broken in. Going forward you will see a lot of QB's who have played a lot of college football going higher then anyone thought they would.
  19. Can you provide examples? It is not in the NFL's interest that the vast majority of its fans think the refs are biased in the Chiefs favor. This will be a discussion point between the ref crew working next weeks game and NFL management. In a game that Texas was dominating two bad roughing calls kept KC drives alive leading directly to 10 points. In a sport where the perception of a level playing field, where incompetent officiating is supposed to cancel out, the league can not afford many more of these KC officiated games.
  20. Maybe, and they have looked good but right now the ball is bouncing their way. Big unforced fumble by Tampa last week won the skins that game and last night they were PLUS 5 in turnovers.
  21. Has anyone ever seen a team clock the ball and waste the down with almost 6 minutes left in the game? How stupid was that just to save 10 seconds?
  22. He caught it from Darnold after that last game.
  23. Tonight they couldn't survive 3 INT's and a lost fumble. My goodness, minus 4 on TO's. And three of the TO's resulted in at least a 17 point swing in the game.
