  1. Yep and if we're going to knock Allen for all those short TD runs consider these stats: * Allen's average TD run was 5.5 yards. * 4 of Allen's 15 TD runs were 10 or more yards. * 7 of Allen's 15 TD runs were 6 or more yards. * 12 of Mahomes 27 TD passes were less then 5 yards. * 21 of Mahomes 27 TD passes were less then 10 yards. So can we put to rest the idea that Allen's rushing TD's were tush push gimmes while Mahomes was throwing all these medium & long TD passes.
  2. I can not rap my mind aroudn this last sentence. What evidence do you have that Allen doesn't take the game seriously? This is an astonishing thing to post.
  3. As Ddaryl noted TO's have not been a problem for Allen in the playoffs. They have not contributed significantly to even one of the Bills/Allen's 5 playoff losses. Sure, in the regular season Allen has a relatively high number of TO's but it's obvious from the results that his TD producton more then compensates. Consider that over the last four regular seasons Allen has: * a 48 - 12 record. * led the Bills to 4 Division titles * Earned a #2 seed in 3 of those 4 seasons and had #3 seed in the 4th season. So his regular season results have been excellent in spite of his high number of TO's. Now you can say that had Allen had fewer TO's during the regular season the Bills may have had a couple of bye weeks & #1 seeds. But that doesn't seem to have helped Lamar Jackson out has it?
  4. Disagree. You assume that they are appropriately weighing the correct metric (TO's) here. The fact that they have given two MVP's to one of the least successful active playoff QB's out there tells me that they aren't valuing what is truly important in awarding an MVP.
  5. I strongly disagree, Allen's mistakes are not the "primary reason he doesn't have at least one MVP or a SB ring".
  6. And don't forget that Allen performed at this level on a bitterly cold night with the temp around 5 degrees.
  7. And don't forget Curtis Samuel who over the last two seasons playing for bad QB's on a bad Washington team had a total of 126 receptions for 1269 yards and 8 TD's. He also rushed for 226 yards with 2 TD's in those two seasons. Samuel is likely to be very productive in this offense with Allen feeding him the ball.
  8. And he caught a Josh Allen pass for 8 yards!
  9. Yep but it is galling to have to defend Allen on a Bills message board from the constant attacks that a small minority of posters throw out there.
  10. Gee, everyone knows, or at least those with Josh Allen Derangement Syndrome, that working out with your receivers in March/April is way more useful then doing it in July with training camp right around the corner!
  11. Like the throw against Detroit in 2022?
  12. Nice job but to be fair if you're going to take out Allen's NE game then you have to take out Burrow & Jackson best game in the playoffs. I suspect that if you do the gap between Allen the other two only widens.
  13. To be great which is always better then good.
  14. In the case of Harty & Sherfield, Bills fans were largely hopeful that they could contribute at a high level. And while they were a general disappointment they also made a couple of insanely great plays to help beat Miami and win the Division. IMO Samuel is heads and shoulders better then Sherfield or Harty. He has produced very good stats given the offenses and QB's he has been operating under. I suspect that at minimum he will have the same impact as a 2019 Beasley did and that would make this a solid WR room. It seems reasonable to believe that both of these things can be true.
  15. If "most people" only focus on passing today's for QB's how do you explain TWO MVP's for Lamar Jackson? Mahomes is put ahead of Allen because he has won/been to multiple Super Bowls. That is a huge achievement. At the same time I have no doubt that if if you switched circumstances with Mahomes going to the Bills in 2017 and Allen going to the Chiefs in 2018 the order would be reversed and Allen would be the #1 rated QB in the NFL with Mahomes in 2nd place.
  16. With more talent around him on offense then Allen has had the last couple of years Cousins lost to the Giants in Minnesota in the first round of the playoffs. So what makes you think Cousins would have led the Bills to any playoff wins? I also don't think Cousins rallies the Bills in that 4th quarter snowstorm to beat the Dolphins in 2022 to win the division.
  17. I disagree: * We don't make it to the AFC championship game in 2020 to lose o the Chiefs because with Cousins at QB we likely lose to the Colts in round one. * After barely getting by NE in round one of the 2021 playoffs KC blows us out in round 2 - no 13 seconds with Cousins at the helm. Hell we might not have even won the division as I doubt Cousins gets the late season win in NE to lock up the East. * I doubt the Bills win their division in either 2022 or 2023 with Cousins at QB. Both seasons required late season prime time victories over Miami to win the division. These are the games that Cousins has largely sucked in.
  18. Kirk Cousins has a track record of losing big games. IMO if he was the Bills QB they would have lost late season games to NE in 2021; Miami in 2022 and Miami in 2023 that they needed to win to win the AFC East. That's 3 Division titles down the toilet. Then in 2020 Cousins would have lost to the Colts in the wildcard round and instead of "13 seconds" in 2021 the Chiefs would have cruised to a comfortable win. BTW you are dramatically understating how much better the Vikings offensive talent has been then the Bills over the last 5 seasons. This thread is definitely a creative way to throw shade at Allen.
  19. Are we talking about the Kirk Cousins who when he finally got his team in the playoffs threw a 4 yard check down pass on 4th and 8 to end a playoff game and lose to the Giants at home? That Kirk Cousins? With Cousins the Bills are a 500 team the last 5 seasons with maybe one or two playoff appearances.
  20. Both can be true: CMAC should have won MVP and when he didn't Allen should have.
  21. What should be a fun and positive thread commenting on the amazing QB we have in Buffalo is contaminated by the weird posts of the passive aggressive Allen critics club.
  22. I think he was referring to Allen's TO's. In that game you had the Cook fumble on the first play and then had the ball bounce off Davis hands for an INT that should have been a first & goal.
  23. He looks like Kincaid did under a similar situation last year. Just a natural at snagging the ball and turning upfield.
  24. I bet when Brady watched a replay of that great Allen pass that Diggs had wrestled away at the Jacksonville 5 yard line for an INT he decided that enough was enough and the Bills had to get at least one WR that could go up and win those types of balls.
