  1. The refs are scum bags. That mistake was unbelievable. That another ref didn't step in and overrule that call makes you question the integrity of the officiating.
  2. Are you kidding? It's sad that you don't feel as awesome as most of us do. This is the NFL and we went on the road and beat a very good team to EARN a place in the playoffs. I feel bad for you.
  3. THANK GOD they won this game. I'm mentally & physically exhausted. I couldn't make it to the last game if that's what we needed to do to make the playoffs. Some observations: * That was an ugly game but it's exactly what we all expected. The Steelers were playing well. After an 0 - 3 start Pitt had gone 8 - 2 going into tonight's game. Their defense is elite. * The bottom line is that as a 9 - 4 team we went on the road and beat an 8 - 5 team to clinch a playoff spot. That is HUGE. * I'll admit that I lost hope about 10 times tonight but this team is resilient. * The Bills defense took advantage of an inexperienced QB. It won the game tonight. * But let's also tip our hat to the offense. Sure they struggled for parts of this game but that last TD drive was a thing of beauty. It was clutch as hell and Allen rose to the occasion with 2 of his best throws of the season. * This is probably not the Bills year. Next year is when I expect them to take off. But my goodness they went 6 - 10 last season and now they stand at 10 - 4 and are in the playoffs! And unlike 2017 where they backed into the postseason, tonight the Bills kicked the door in.
  4. Oh for crying out loud. The penalties are killing the offense as is the poor O-line play. We are year away from having even an average offense.
  5. And an elite D wouldn't let a team with a 3rd string QB shove it down their throats right out of the halftime locker room.
  6. Judas priest. How many time this season in big games does our D come out in the 2nd half and let a team march it right down the field to score a TD?
  7. Until we get receivers that can make a great catch once and a while we'll never know now will we? Did you see the halftime highlights? Some pretty great catches on display.
  8. Overthrow! You people are calling that an overthrow? Judas Priest that pass is caught by almost every WR in the NFL. This is getting ridiculous. You can't have THREE freaking WR's under six foot on the field. This is 2019 not the 1990's.
  9. The difference is that our dropped passes are the type you throw 30 times a game compared to just a couple of deep balls per game.
  10. The drops have to stop. We would still have the ball had Beasley not dropped that pass. And don't tell me that Allen threw the pass to hard. That's just plain stupid.
  11. There are a lot of big, physical WR's in the NFL who would have made that catch. Mahomes has been the beneficiary of a umber of those kinds of catches over the last 2 seasons. It's frustrating because had Foster held onto that ball people are showing that replay as a testament to Allen's play making ability.
  12. The Bengals are going to get a great one in Burrow. He is pro ready IMO and should start from day 1. His athleticism will enable him to survive the Bengals bad O-line his rookie year. My guess is that while Cincy will trade Dalton they'll hold on to Green who combined with Boyd will give the Bengal's a potent one two punch in their passing game. Burrow will be able to get them the ball as they resemble his WR's at LSU. Mike Brown (Bengal's owner) also desperately needs to put butts in seats and a Heisman trophy winner can do that.
  13. If you haven't yet, check out the "Is Josh Allen a Good QB" thread. It has one of the best video breakdowns of Allen, focusing on the Baltimore game, that I've ever seen. Well worth spending 20 minutes watching it. It will leave you very optimistic for the Bill's future.
  14. Great video - thanks for sharing! It's nice to have a neutral observer who seems to know his stuff provide the extra perspective needed to assess a position like QB. I really believed and this video seemed to confirm that Allen played very well in the 2nd half. Hopefully we won't have another game this season were so many pieces of the offense misfired at critical moments.
  15. Allen's DEEP throw to Singleterry was on the money and if #26 had more experience on fly patterns he would have run through that catch and not tried to jump for the ball. And Fouts said exactly that. The quick flat pass to Singleterry was PERFECT and if he makes his guy miss that's a huge gain. The throw to Knox was PERFECT and may have been a TD if the small DB misses the tackle as Knox turns towards the end zone. The throw to Beasley was also PERFECT and was made after Allen got out of trouble in a collapsing picket. These 4 plays ALL happened in the 3rd quarter. Had the catches been made the Bills win the game.
  16. A drop is a drop and a poor pass is a poor pass. There may be a tiny bit of overlap but the two things are different and counted differently. I would hazard to guess that the great majority of dropped passes (over 95%) are NOT on Allen. Just like the great majority of missed throws are not on the receivers running the route wrong. One measure describes a receiving problem and one a QB problem. Don't try to make BOTH measures about Allen. It reeks of bias. And I've never said that Allen doesn't throw bad passes. EVERY QB does. As for Mahomes throwing "catchable" balls I can only go by what I've seen and what I see are receivers who CATCH his passes even when they're poorly thrown. How many times have you seen Kelsey grab a ball that was down around his knees or soaring over his head? And down here in Southern Ohio High School football is big and I watch most of the Friday Night games the team in my community plays. And every time someone talks about Allen's accuracy in HIGH SCHOOL they lose a lot of credibility with me. What a player does in high school has almost nothing to do with what they do in the NFL. NOTHING. It tells me you don't actually watch much HS football.
  17. Do you watch other football games? Not just the NFL but also in college you will see all sorts of receivers catching balls that are low, high, or to one side or the other. But from my vantage point, in the drops I've seen the ball was mostly on the money and didn't have excessive velocity. It's actually stunning that the Bills have FOUR receivers with the most drops in the top 45 players with drops in the NFL. Considering the total # of receivers available to include in this list this is an amazing stat. I agree with others that have noted that both Singleterry & Knox have little college experience in pass receiving. And Beasley & Brown may not be used to the tight windows Allen puts the ball. But the reality is that this stat more then any other IMO has contributed significantly to our offensive struggles.
  18. Yep. Remember how Kyle Allen & Gardner Minshew hadn't thrown an INT after their first few games. Well the tape came in and now all a DE has to do is yell BOO at them and they fumble. Here are their total TD/TO numbers: Minshew = 15/12 Kyle Allen = 18/19 I'll use these numbers to predict what happens to Duck in the future.
  19. Bingo! One of the reasons there often is a "sophomore slump" among fast starting young QB's is that they're asked to do a lot more after their rookie season. It's obvious to anyone watching that Dabold expects Allen to take on a much bigger load in calling pass protections, diagnosing defenses and getting to his 3rd read. Combine this with the fact that every D coordinator now has over a year of film on Allen it's not surprising that elite defenses coached by elite D-coordinators can confuse Allen at times. The next 2 years will tell the real story as Allen gains more experience and the Bill's surround him with better offensive talent. Remember we're only about half way into a complete rebuild of the offense.
  20. Which half are you talking about Kiva? Because in the 2nd half, with the game on the line Allen played very well. Several big drops and a missed PI call by the refs cost the Bills the game. But it's wrong to claim that Allen had a bad game when anyone watching the game could see he played well in the 2nd half. This is why the eye test is every bit as good as the numbers test in evaluating a QB. Last night we watched Darnold throw for 75 yards & a TD after the Ravens had surged to a 42 - 13 lead. Yet in the flawed analysis of PFF garbage time numbers will be thrown into the equation.
  21. Darnold did nothing special tonight. Not sure why this guy would phrase it like he did.
  22. Can we all agree hitting a WR on a deep throw is not easy - even one as wide open as 89.
  23. I can't believe what these two moron announcers are saying? They're trying to suck up to the NY media by claiming that the game was "close" until the last few series? Don't they realize that the NY Sports media will be out to destroy the Jets after this game.
