12/8/24 Game 14 GAMEDAY! Bills vs Rams post game Thread

When those 2 WR's are healthy and Stafford is on his game the Rams O is as good as the lions. -

While not officially classified as a giveaway a blocked punt for a TD is worse then a couple of TO's. -

On the positive side: * Allen * Shakir * Cooper * Hollins Who would have thought with both Diggs & Davis gone the Bills could execute an old fashioned shoot out at such a highly productive level. -
An absolute disaster by the coaches at the end of this game

Football 101 is you try to take away the opponents best weapon. On that play the Bills almost ignored the best WR on the field today. -

On the Rams last TD we had an all out blitz and they threw the ball outside to their best WR who had two blockers versus our two safeties/CB's. That's on coaching. -

We all noticed at my house. When they lined up for the tush push we ALL said "don't use a TO if you don't make it. Line up and run it again". We also were all screaming at the TV for them to line up in the shot gun and not do the tush push. Again we make excuses for another coaching melt down at a critical point in a game. -

Have you seen the Steeler's remaining schedule? KC, Baltimore and the Eagles. They are losing at least one of those. -
Week 14 - Bills at Rams Game Week Thread

Yep the ridiculous take that Allen did the wrong thing by targeting an open WR for a TD is alive and well on 2BD. And did you notice that now these people are claiming that not only was Digg's a lock to get the 1st down he would have gained 20 yards! Soon they'll claiming Diggs would have scored. And notice how another Allen myth refuses to die - the one where Allen got Kincaid hurt by overthrowing him by a foot in the Indy game. Of course since that game I have since dozens of wide open receivers get overthrown by their QB's including by Burrow, Mahomes, Jackson, Love, Goff and almost every top QB. We should be seeing a flurry of knee injuries due to overthrown balls. Instead maybe what happened to Kincaid was a one off fluke? -
To be clear I was referring to taking "check downs" as the first option not as a later option. Brady understood this. What was being argued for IMO was the Kurt Cousins check down approach. You know the one where on 4th & 8 at the end of a playoff game you throw a 3 yard completion. I didn't but now I do. My bad.

Just like Watson in 2020 who had almost 5000 yards passing on a 4 - 12 Texans team. Garbage time stats further enhanced by throwing against prevent defenses for a quarter per game can really boost the yardage & TD numbers.

Week 14 - Bills at Rams Game Week Thread

I read somewhere that Allen said he dinged his "funny bone" on that play which can hurt like hell for a few minutes but have zero longer term effects. -
My view of McD is in the process of changing. He does seem to be coaching differently, his 4th down gambles come to mind, while still maintaining what he's always been good at - building a solid culture. I also think McD may be benefiting from a shift in the NFL as it moves from total offensive domination to a more balanced defensive/offensive split. Just look at the return of the RB to prominence and the diminished importance of having a stud WR.

I think some of these announcers are doing just that.

Wow, Aikman & Buck are morons to say teams will be knocking down Winston's door to sign him. Sure 500 yards and 4 TD's is impressive but he also had THREE picks including TWO pick sixes. So unless they clone Levi Wallace and make every team start him at CB Winston is still the same QB that hasn't been good anywhere else he played. Funny how picks are a big deal for some QB's and not for others.
-
So this has been the week of the pick 6's. Now watch Jamison go down and et a garbage TD and go over 500 yards!
-
Karma. Am I the only one that thinks Payton sucks at managing his TO's and challenges?
-
Agree. By the time he secured the ball one foot was of the turf. This should be reversed...................

So the refs miss an obvious off side by the Browns on 4th down and before that miss an obvious face mask on the Browns against the Denver RB during a long run. Judas priest these are critical missed calls. The NFL needs to fix this. Instead the billionaire boys club and their lick spittle commissioner stare at a globe wondering if there's any money to be made playing a game in Kirghistan.

I agree. If people want to hear a color commentator that hates Allen check out the goofball Aikman on MNF. -
12/1/2024 Bills vs. 49’ers post game thread

For me that 97 yard drive to put the game basically out of reach was amazing given the weather. And that pass to Knox that got the Bills out of their own end zone was sublime. Allen also had another great pass to Knox in the 2nd half. Given the conditions those two passes were jaw dropping. This is a Super Bowl caliber team.- 396 replies

Around the NFL - Week 13 2024 (no Bills discussion please)

They are afraid of his running so they focus on trying to"contain" him. NFC teams just don't see this type of QB play and they tend to overcompensate.
